Stayed at rhe site for one night for a quick getaway weekend.

The initial approach as mentioned in other reviews is slightly strange through what appears to be a coach parking lot and service area (it is not a junkyard!) but not an issue in any way.

The site itself is medium sized and lacks a bit of character but is well laid out, with reception in the middle of the site next to one of the toilet blocks. Nice friendly welcome from the warden who gave us a choice of pitches. It was fairly busy but pitches are large and well spaced out so it did not feel cramped. Pitches are a mixture of grass and hard stand (same price?) and flat. Motorhome grey water dump is situated at the second toilet block near the exit and there are chemical waste points at each Toilet block. Our pitch also had fresh water although not sure if this is standard.

There ar two toilet blocks (one not being used when we were there) that are accessed using a keycode system - I couldn't really see the point of this and it was slightly annoying as you have to remember the code everytime but I guess they have their reasons. The facilities themselves were modern and spotless with plenty of showers and even a bathroom!? For families with kids there is a children's play area near the entrance. SIte also has free WiFi that actually works!

Site location is excellent, nice a quite and hidden away but only a 5 min walk to Morrisons and 10 minutes into town.

Contrary to some reviews Ross on Wye itself is actually quite a nice little town with a number of independant shops, some good eating and drinking places (No. 3 restaurant on Gloucester Road near the Market Place was exceptional, highly recommended!). It's also a nice place to walk around, particularly down by the river although it is quite hilly in some areas. Ross is also a good place to base yourself to visit Hereford, Monmouth, Symonds Yat etc.

The only downside to the site is the price, at £28 a night for a motorhome and two people with EHU In the low season I thought it was a bit steep.

Excellent site ! We were shown to where we were to be pitched by 2 lovely people and given instructions for how to use the facilities. This is by far one of the best sites we have been on so far - very well organised, well set out, great facilities, very quiet, close to shops pubs and restaurants. The only advice I could give is to take a torch with you if you go into town at night as the walk back is very dark ! This site is definitely on a par with any caravan club sites we have been on ! We will definitely visit this site again !

Excellent site everything spotless, toilet block very clean, grass kept neat, friendly warden and very helpful. Can't wait to go back. Easy short 5 minute walk into town centre. Morrisons at entrance. Wi Fi signal good. Lovely dog walk by the river that has lots of wildlife and wild flowers.

Really enjoyed our stay here! We normally choose smaller sites and adult only but thought we would give here a bash.

The entrance into the site is not as bad as previous comments, we thought it was ok. The site itself was immaculate, the owner gave a friendly welcome and a site briefing and showed us to our pitch. The pitch was a great size, enough for our car and our large tent and ample room for sundries. The pitches are clearly marked out so boundaries are clear and each pitch has a hookup within 10m and a water point adjacent to the hookups. All pitches are nearby to the waste areas. The owner also tried to locate pitches away from others, like a staggered system to give people space, once more arrived on the Saturday we did get neighbours but that's fine.

The toilet/shower block, there are two one at each end of the site was more than adequate for large numbers. Each block has lots of toilet cubicles, urinals, separate shower units and lots of sinks. There is even a bathroom with toilet, bath and sink so even if you don't want a bath, you can have a shave in peace! The block closes at 11am for cleaning and to be honest was well kept and clean all day and night.

Its only a 5min walk to the Morrisons and town centre so a great little base.

All in all we enjoyed our stay and will return, this site restored our faith in slightly larger sites with children allowed.

Just spent four days at broad meadows. Warden tony and wife keep the site immaculate. Excellent location. Forget the entrance a little oasis when you enter site. Toilet block spotless. Free wi fi good signal. Well priced. Loved it. Will definitely return. Easy walk into Ross on Wye for a stroll along the river

We were a little put off by some of the reviews however we decided to take a chance, yes it is not a good entrance to the site, and yes there is some road noise, and yes they are building a new housing estate and finally it is a wee bit more expensive but what a magnificent site, the pitches are brilliant, the water and power facilities are there to make our lives simple, the toilet and shower blocks are pristine and the bathroom was welcome after a walk along the river Wye. It is so close to Ross and yes the tat yard ain't good but close your eyes, the noise is only early morning, well snore louder but give this place a chance, the lake and dog walk is so wel thought out and there is a Morrisons on the door step (After walking past the tat yard) the pubs are dog friendly, and the walks are amazing. ! Give it a go and ignore any negative comments. Enjoy as we did

A little Oasis of a caravan park unfortunately accessed via an untidy, uncared-for scruffy industrial estate located by the side of Morrisons supermarket.

However very tight (though level) pitches which proved okay at the time of the visit as the site was only working at 15% capacity, but would be too much at peak times (no 6m Caravan Club space rules apply here!).

The site has two very good sized toilet/shower blocks and even has a bathroom at no extra charge – great for a soak after a heavy days activities.

Under-whelming centre of Ross on Wye is 10 minutes’ walk from the site, but the riverside walk by the side of the River Wye is quite delightful.

Overall, good facilities, helpful wardens, nice level pitches but too close together at peak times and overpriced at approaching £ 30/night for two adults and a dog.

This was our first visit to the site and I can truly say it was fantastic, very clean and very nicely kept and a nice pool to fish on if that's your thing. The people running the site were lovely too and with a couple of minutes walk you've got Morrisons and a couple of minutes further you have the town center a beautiful little place. We will be going back. The only small issue was the access road through a coach graveyard but once your past there its beautiful.

Was surprised how expensive this place was on booking (£23 ) September 10th, but thought we may be getting something more than the norm, arrived after driving through a dirty scrapyard/bus depot, the site itself is clean, but noisy in the day from the work going on around in the business parks, toilets showers ok, what I didn't realise is you have to walk through the scrap yard, refuse site to walk into town, not good for the price and wont return
