A Clean tidy functional site located close to the centre of Ross on Wye. There was a beer festival on by the river when we visited which was an added bonus.
This site has everything you need in terms of on and off site facilities. But the access is a little grim in terms of an industrial yard and there is traffic noise.
We really liked the fact that thought was given as to where to locate you ie. Families and large groups were in one area and single units in another.
On balance not the prettiest place around but a great spot from which to visit Ross on Wye!

A great site. Close to Ross. Friendly staff. Very well laid out and landscaped grounds. Immaculate toilet block.
Pitch right next to water and electric. Town is nice and worth a visit. Peaceful and relaxing place. Go there!

Good well ordered site. Very convenient for town BUT take a very good torch if you are walking back at night. It's pitch dark - no lighting through the access route which runs through a coach yard. Verging on the dangerous.
Otherwise the site is a bit bleak but functional. There is free wifi. Good facilities including a bath. Pitches are large. Not cheap at £30 pn in September but so convenient for Morrisons and town. You pay your money. Etc.

A wonderful holiday.
We have been to this site for many years. It is a great location with views, fishing lakes, Morrisons less than 5 mins away and town centre and River Wye approximately 10 mins, and the Forest of Dean close by.
The owners and wardens are very friendly and always willing to help. The site is well kept and the facilities are very clean and tidy.
Regarding some of the other reviews we have read it is only common sense for dogs to be kept on leads and children should not cycle on site or run wild. There is a suitable play area in the vicinity. We appreciate these rules.
Anybody who complains about these sorts of rules should maybe go somewhere else where they can behave in an anti-social way. It would be a good idea to have speed ramps to slow vehicles down on entering the camp site.

As others have said, the access road is through a coach maintenance area, a short walk from the town and shops.
Pitches are a good size and facilities excellent. Site is strangely characterless and could have been laid out with a bit more imagination.
Expensive, which may be why it was almost empty in July !

As others have said don't be put off by the approach to this site, which is through an industrial site.
Once inside its a little gem.
Owners really friendly and was shown to pitch and where all facilities were.
Pitches are a good size, plenty of room for van car and awning, water tap between two pitches which is handy.
Toilets and showers were always clean and water was piping hot, little play area for kids on site and plenty of grassed are.
A nice leisurely 15 minute walk and your in Ross town centre and there is a morrisons store between site and Ross.
Will def be going back to this cracking site.

Firstly this is an expensive site. For two people staying in our campervan for 3 nights it cost £90. Its by far the most expensive site we have stayed at.
Yes you do enter the site via an industrial site and Coach yard but this did not put us off in anyway.
It was quiet when we were there, well organised and maintained. The shower block is large with a number of showers and toilets. There are in fact two shower blocks on site of similar size. You have to access the block via an access code. By the time we left we knew this off by heart!
The road is nearby at one end of the caravan park and you can hear the traffic although you do get used to it.
We don't have dogs so it didn't effect us however I felt that it was a shame that dogs cant be let off the lead in the dog walking area but again it is the rule of the campsite.
You are also only a 5 minute walk from Morrisons which is very handy. Ross on Wye is a 5/10 minute walk and there are a number of pubs and a very nice Italian restaurant which we ate at during our stay. There is also a nice riverside walk again where you can visit a couple of riveride pubs.
All in all we enjoyed our stay but have to again comment on the price which we did think was steep.

Completely agree with previous reviews. This is a lovely site, clean, tidy, nicely maintained and helpful staff.
Would I return? No. At £34 a night it is far too expensive which is a real shame. If the prices were dropped more people might be tempted to stay.

This is a mixed review.
The site is located within an industrial estate, yet despite this rather uninspiring setting it remains very quiet and peaceful, with a lot of rabbits and plenty of bird song. It is a very short walk to Morrisons supermarket and a few minutes from The town centre.
The pitches are standard size and very flat, when we arrived for the May half term, the site was completely rammed, but after the bank holiday, it became exceptionally quiet. There is plenty of green space within the site for children and adults to play.
Broadmeadows also boasts the most tranquil and beautiful dog walking area, I have ever seen on any camping site.
There are some lovely walks directly from the campsite, such as 'The Wye valley' walkway and Chase wood.
The facilities are clean and plentiful and even at its busiest times, we never had to wait for a shower.
The showers were free, but only once Did I have a hot shower, all the other times the water was merely warm or tepid.
So why have I given it 7/10? It is the price. It is extremely expensive and cost us (a family of four plus one dog) £40 a night which is higher than camping and caravan club sites and higher than sites of the same standard and quality. It did not have anything that I would say that was better/ cleaner/ bigger than any other site I have been to (except the dog walking area, which was exceptional). I also do not know who or what organisation awarded them 5 stars, as again, I would not have said it was of a 5 star standard.
Would I go there again? No, but only because of the price.

We only spent one night at this site as a stop over for visiting west wales. We wish we could have stayed longer. We had a lovely welcome and were given a choice of pitch, we chose a hard standing pitch as these were the same price as the grass ones. A lovely, quite and well presented site and the toilets and shower block were immaculate. A short walk into Ross town and had a lovely walk by the river. We will visit this site again and stay a little longer next time.
