Went for May Bank Holiday, thought the pitches would be a mud-bath after all the rain we'd had, but they were fine. It was great, shower facilities and toilets were excellent, kids had a great time. The shop on site was good value for money and not over priced like alot of other shops on sites. Don't know what the entertainment was like, we never went, but people sounded like they'd enjoyed themselves on their way back from the club. A train/bus goes around the site at evenings and takes you to various parts of the site every half hour. Theme park was fab, we had a really great break and will definitely go back again this year.

We decided to try this site out as it was the only one we could find vacant with a hard satnding at this time of the year. We were going so that we could see the carnival and fireworks at Burnham, which were excellent.
We were situated in the yellow field. The hard standing we had was basically a concrete pad. The awning was required to be erected on the grass. Due to the time of year and the amount of rain that we had seen, this was not possible. We managed to position our caravan so that we could put the awning onto the concrete and peg it around the sides.
As for the site itself, we did not find much wrong with it. The clubhouse was still open even though it was well out of season. Toilets were of a good standard.
If it had not been for an 'Autocruise' motohome rally then the site would have been about 95% empty for tourers.
Will visit again for the same reason we went this year. Not sure that it will be my cup of teak during peak season in August though.

Just want to say it is absolutely brilliant on this camp, the facilities are excellent, the toilets were spotless, the showers hot. The whole camp was clean, the club (RJ`s) was brilliant especially for the kids.
We were on the Green site so it was a fair walk to RJ`s but we got picked up and dropped off by a mini bus from the toilet block just around the corner from our caravan for no extra charge, i thought this was excellent of them.
The leisure park was also brilliant and we found the prices very reasonable. We didn`t need to go off camp for anything there was so much to do. The fishing was also good.. We are definitely going back for longer next year.

Our family had a great holiday here. Great location plenty for children to do. Toilet and shower block in brown field needs updating. Supermarket well stocked, friendly staff good service in bars and clubs, The leisure park was very good value but the swimming pools were very small. I found the clubs to have very good entertainment although I think children should be supervised more and not left to run around as it can cause accidents especially after 10.pm. But on the whole very good camp-site, my children said it was their best ever holiday. We would go back.

Spent 3 days here over bank holiday. Very large and busy site but yellow field was quiet enough to let kids ride around on their bikes. Toilets/showers etc excellent if near, luckily we were.
Was a bit disappointed with facilities though. Thought the slide with the rubber rings was not working then found out on second day it opens for only 20 minutes every session. Unfortunately you need a pound to hire a ring not something you usually have on you when your wearing swimwear! Finally got it right on third and last day and we all got a go and enjoyed it.
The cinema was only open Tuesday to Friday. We stayed Saturday to Monday I was surprised it wasn’t open over the bank holiday weekend. The fair was a bit expensive £17.95 for a wristband. We got a £2.00 discount. Toddler wristbands for very small children £6.99 with a £1.00 discount were reasonably priced. Having said that we all enjoyed the fair. It was fairly compact so you could let older children roam free and yet find them easily. There were some ‘big’ rides to keep the older children happy and best of all the queues were small or non existent! We spent 5 hours there.
The park or ‘play area’ on the site was far away but was large and had some unusual equipment, which made a nice change! And we all enjoyed a free ride on the site train, which starts at 6.30pm every evening and takes about half an hour to do a round trip of the campsite.
Just down the road is Brean down with fantastic cliff top views, an old fort and ww2 buildings all with info and all for a £1.50 charge to park your car on the beach. It’s well worth a visit. We would visit this site again we did enjoy ourselves

July 2005 This was a last minute choice, as our plans were changed.
Good Points: Level Pitch. Nice childrens play ground. Water was hot. No charge for showers. Take away "used twice" very good. Fun Fair. Family bath room.
Not so Good points: Speeding cars.
You are given a ticket to work the automatic barrier, worked when it felt like it,made things difficult, I watched for a while I was not the only one who suffered.
Mini quad bikes, looks like fun,but not the place for them.
When I saw a warden drive his electric vehicle between tents at a far from slow speed, this to me was not good.
We did enjoy our holiday, as family time is rare, and must be enjoyed.
This is the first time we have stayed on a commercial site like this. In the past we have mainly stayed on Caravan Club sites, Prehaps not so many things to do on site but its safer for the children. And to me this is important.
As we know children do not see danger so much,so their holiday was perfect. With a little more thought mine would have been too.

July 2005 This is an excellent site. It is rather expensive in comparison to others we have stayed at but well worth the extra. The beach is nothing spectacular, only visited it once but couldn't find the sea without binoculars. That was not a problem as there is enough entertainment on site. RJ's bar / club / restauant is great, the kids and adults had a great time there, just regret we didn't go until our last night. The funfair is small but adequate, somebody reviewed it as being expensive, but I did not find it any more expensive than any other funfair, but let's be honest, who finds them cheap?
Somebody also said they were a long way from the loos on the yellow field, so they must have built more loos since their stay as there was a loo block in the yellow field. The take away food was expensive, rate it at 6/10. Did not eat in the restaurant / bar, but drinks were reasonably priced, entertainment very good and staff very pleasent. 10/10 We had a great night. I'm still whistling the tunes now. Loos were modern with large free showers, hand basin and WC combined into a cubicle. Toilet roll always in plentyful supply, soap in the soap dispensers and constant hot water. Cleanliness did let the toilets down a little, although they were generally clean, hence only 9/10 whereas they could easily have had full marks. Costcutter supermarket on site was priced reasonably, considering the location and air conditioned.(It was boiling when we stayed there) Stocks were limited however, so only 7/10 for them. Pitches back onto each other with a mains hookup and tap between them, so water is always at hand (on serviced pitches) Marshals on our field were pleasant and helpful. Plenty of fire hoses around (heaven forbid) so I would rate the pitch 10 / 10
To sum up, the site gets 8 / 10. I feel guilty not giving it 9, but the take away food outlets really did let the place down. I cannot wait to go back, but will take my own food next time.

March 2005 Stayed here over the Easter bank holiday. The site is massive our pitch was on the brown field. I was impressed with the size of the pitch. The site was very busy and we only went to the club house one night as it was packed out and very difficult to find seat (we have four kids). There is a large fairground with a good carboot/market next to the site. Down the road we found a pub with an excellent bear garden with sea views can`t remebers the name. Pitch fees were a bit expensive

June 2004 It was our first family camping trip with two young children. Did not know what to expect from a camping site as Ive only been with my partner once before to Wales. My first impressions of site were very clean. Had a serviced grassed pitched for our tent which includes electrical hook up, tap, drainage. I was expecting a field with one or two tents/tourers but was suprised at the size of the camp. Although there were many tourers there the camp could cope with it. The shower block (Green Field) was, to me, like a high quality hotel chain. Very clean and the shower rooms large enough for adult and children. There was background music playing 24 hours. Plenty to do for adults & children alike. Only just come back from site earlier today and already planning another few days in the tent with my family very soon. A WINNER!

3.5.04 to 7.5.04 Massive site, very clean, very helpful staff. We stayed in a luxury static caravan, only one year old, it was true to it's name, luxury. Exceptionaly clean, with central heating in all rooms, a shower that you can control the water temperature, living area very spacious although the bedrooms were a little compact, but after all you only sleep in there. Microwave in kitchen. Free sachets of coffee, sugar, milk and t'bags on arrival, that's a first. Bed clothes lovely and soft, not the usual starched rough ones that keep you awake all night chaffing your skin.
There is a down side - Red Field where we were situated has a row of caravans (ours included) that back onto the main coast road which is very busy until quite late (taking into account that we were there out of season I would say during peak time it's a nightmare especially if you are a light sleeper, not like me). Although we walked around the whole of the park just for something to do to pass the time away - Yellow Field caravans were better situated in a quieter area but not as luxurious.
The touring and camping areas were further back but all amenities looked clean and easily accessable. You need to check but I'm sure I read somewhere that you must use breathable ground sheets. Sorry we didn't check out the entertainment as it's not our scene but it did look good.
The park is adjoined to Brean Leisure Park which you have the use of. It was also very clean with nice friendly staff. Unfortunatley because we where out of season the indoor swimming pool was only open from 10am to 1pm each day and you are allowed one free swim, after that it's £3.00. The funfare was only open on the Monday because it was Bank Holiday it was closed Tuesday and Wednesday open Thursday from 2pm to 5pm and Friday 11am to 5pm, take quite a lot of money beause it's quite expensive (mind not as bad as Blackpool Pleasure Beach and Alton Towers). It's a good idea to check what is open before you book as there is very little else to do if the weather isn't good enough to enjoy the beautiful beach but be careful to check the tides as you could find you return to your car and find it submerged as some unfortunate sole had done whilst we were there. The sea goes out quite a long way and the sand in areas is un-safe. There are signs up and a warden patrols the beach. One more thing don't make the mistake, that we did, of walking along the beach thinking that you can nip through one of the other caravan parks to get back a different way because you can't, they are really tight on security, for some reason, and all the caravan parks are locked.
