Great site with excellent facilities. Extremely helpful pitch neighbours helped us set-up on arrival, as the weather was poor.
Has all the family needs within walking distance and great things to do off-site locally.
The staff are extremely helpful and it was awesome to see the land train return, as its always a favourite with the kids.
We have been to HRU every year since 2015 for our summer holiday and can see that continuing for a while yet.
Unfortunately over the past couple of years there has been a slow encroachment of static holiday homes into Yellow field which will soon be lost for camping/touring, leaving just the two fields.
Hopefully the two remain fields provide enough availability for the touring folk in the years to come.

This site is huge and good for families. Our pitch was adequate but not overgenerous, a good point is the water and power is behind each pitch which is convenient.
The playground is very good we took two boys age 10 and 11 and they loved the pump track for scooters and bikes. They liked the basket ball too.
The site was quite noisy at night, the showers were lukewarm at best which was disappointing.
If you want to swim you have to download the app and book for the following day, the sessions become available at 10am and you have to be really quick otherwise they are all gone.
The theme park was a rip off but that's just our opinion. If we were coming on our own I wouldn't choose this site but with grandchildren it really suited them.
The wardens were around and all staff we came in contact with were friendly and helpful.
We had fish and chips one night they were good but expensive.

The pitch was fantastic,
The shower could do with a temperature control as the button press time was also too short
However it was the biggest site I have used.
Good Set up!

What a lovely family run site.
Stay 2 nights
Day 1 - Travel day
We arrived around 1pm friday afternoon and only had to wait a matter of minutes to check in with a resort rep at the barrier. We were provided with instructions on where to go and locate the warden who would show us to our pitch, we managed to navigate our way no problem and was swiftly taken to our pitch which was spaced adequately due to covid 19 and social distancing. The warden also provided us with a leaflet on the site including vouchers to go towards brean theme park.
Our pitch- yellow field next to fishing lake.
The fishing lake is small-ish, however we didn't get chance do do any fishing as their was plenty to do.
Once set up we ate at the fish and chip shop on site which is locate next to the sites costcutters shop.
The pricing for the fish and chips we thought was expensive however the staff in their were lovely and gave advise on where to go and what to do etc, we returned back to our folding camper with some somerset cider from the costcutters for £6 for a litre.
Day 2 -
We purchased our 4 tickets into the brean theme park which is located across from the marquee area, this should have cost £110 which is far to over priced, we did however using the coupons the warden provided us with get £20 off, but we had an amazing time all day in there!
Ghost train was great, as was the magic mouse, crazy loop roller coaster, log flume and other fair grown rides, their is another coaster in the dark but I cant remember what its called but its space themed, it is located next to the caterpillar ride
We went on as much as we could fit in between opening 11am and closing at 6pm, however times extend for summer till 8pm. Our children are 8 and 13 years old and they were having a great time, masks were provided and you are asked to use the hand sanitizer upon entry to the park.
Due to keeping our pennies we left around 1pm and headed back to the folding camper for some lunch and returned after something to eat so I can not comment on the food within the theme park or tavern.
Due to covid 19 entertainment took place outside under the marquee area which was a 10 minute walk possibly from the yellow field.
I do believe the taverns pricing for 2 pints of strongbow dark fruits and 2 pints of apple tangos for £18 was a rip off! so this was our last and only ride.
Cleanliness- due to covid 19 we found the toilets etc to be cleaned regularly which was reassuring, hand sanitizer can be found outside next to the door upon entry and exiting. Plenty of cubicles and shower spaces. Each shower cubicle has a toilet and wash basin with a mirror, bench and somewhere to hang your bag etc.
Local - you will find walking past the theme park that their is a main road, if you turn to the right you will find a coupe of amusements and little shops, pubs and bars etc. Upon leaving the site if you walk straight on you will see a gap and public path with a beach sign. Follow this path to a glorious beach which goes for miles and its lovely and clean.
Due to covid we didn't get chance to go to the brean swim park but if we come back we will go for sure! you also receive some money off for this due to staying at holiday resort unity in the vouchers you receive fro the warden.
A very clean tidy holiday park.
We will return, but we will take all our own booze next time!

We stayed here for our 7 night holiday and it was great. Excellent clean facilities and very helpful field wardens.
Plenty to do on-site with the kids parks and the entertainment complex. We did not struggle to keep the young ones (ages 4, 7, 8) entertained at Brean splash and theme park.
The beach is a short walk over the road from the site.
The shop is well stocked and there are takeaways available too.
If you have children then this site is an excellent choice with so much to do locally.
Only gripe this year was the land train wasn't about for the kids.

We went to spend some quality with our 2 dogs, one was about 20 months, and our old girl 12 who had aggressive tumour in her mouth,
The staff were as always really friendly,
We were down on the yellow field, and saw the staff around camp on their little buggy's and they also stopped to say hello,
Our old dog collapsed, camper broke down, and we lost keys for the car, staff was amazing, helpful even though it was Wednesday midnight, checking by phone if we needed anything, as they called the next afternoon to see how our dog was, but she had to go over the rainbow bridge.
But even though we left Wed but only booked to the Thurs, and cause we lost keys of the car, so car had to stay on pitch, they said they would watch it 24/7 as we were on pitch just behind staff caravan, when we spoke to them on the Thurs they were like don't need to rush to come and pick car up, we understand come down when your ready and there is no extra charge for it being on pitch,
But we go normally every couple of months to there, and we have never had any problems being there,
The staff as always so helpful friendly love going there x

I must admit, the name sounds like it’s some form of Christian Cult, but it’s not. Having stayed previously at Warren Farm, I had hoped this would be similar but it’s not. This site is much bigger and definitely aimed at families with young children.
We are in ‘The Brown Field’ which is allegedly dog friendly, but sadly the place feels much more like dogs tolerated. For such a large site, there is no where you can actually let your dog off lead to exercise. There is a dog walk advertised, and that is literally what it is, a narrow path, up against the hedges where you can walk the dog and let him attend to his ablutions.
Considering how massive this park is it’s quite disappointing. But I guess they just want to ram as many pitches into the park as possible, and their focus is definitely not on dogs, their needs and their owners. And there is just one dog friendly cafe, open 9 to 5. Dogs are not allowed in the other retail and eating places, which are plentiful and varied.
The other thing I’ve noticed, having got up to take my dog for a walk on the beach this morning, their site maps are definitely not to scale either. So don’t be fooled. If you are in ‘The Brown Field’ it’s a solid 10, maybe 15 minute walk to the park entrance, depending on your mobility, and another solid 10 to 15 minute walk to the beach.
The beach access path just opposite the park is quite hard going over some sand dunes. I found there is a much easier route if you turn right out the entrance and about 40 to 50 yards away there is a municipal car park entrance to the beach, with a road to a pub/cafe that is flat with access for cars to the beach. It was a lot easier coming back that way than going over those dunes.
To be fair to HRU (as they abbreviate themselves), the showers and toilets are clean, and there is plenty of hot water. There is a Cost Cutter on site that it halfway to the site entrance, where there is also a fish and chip shop. That will be for another day. And this place is targeted at caravan holidays, al la Haven and Park Dean. With a huge entertainment venue and programme aimed at trying to keep you on site. If you like that type of thing, then this is the place for you. Not my ‘thing’ at all.

This is great site if your doing disabled camping or caravan ING. It's very flat. Great clean disabled shower room.
All fitted out with easy access. All facilities on site is easy access. Staff very helpful. Lots to do. Mobilty scooter hire on site at good price.
Shop is easy access and really helpful staff. Great fish and chip shop if you did not want to cook. There's lots for family to do. Funfair next door and market and one day a carboot in different days. There is a laundry on each camping field.
Entertainment is a couple of venues one for children and one more adult friend no children under 14 years. Easy reach of beach which you can drive on if you got a disability can be handy. Playground for your children it is all well maintained.
Nice size plots so you do not feel on top of each other. Staff are so friend and site is very clean and disabled friendly.

Visited this site with 17 month old granddaughter. It was low season but due to the exceptionally good weather the park was full. In light of this you would expect some flexibility towards providing a service accordingly. This review is written as a family with a young active infant. If you have juniors I am sure you will not have the same experience or reflection.
On arrival we were shown to our pitch after setting up the caravan and pitching the awning we noted a rather nasty smell of dog poo. It was all over the awning floor trod in from the grassed area. The warden stated that they had had a lot of this lately!. Nice, glad the warden realised they were there to provide a service.
With a small child, we needed the use of the family rooms, you should have been able to hire a key for £5 deposit - you couldn't the warden only had one set of keys so you had to search for a warden if you wanted to use the family bathroom.
On reporting these issues to the main desk we told that we should be able to have a key and that the warden was supposed to check the pitch! I would suggest that resort managers might like to re-educate wardens of the policy.
Cost cutters: No suntan lotion, apparently it was the fault of the resort managers of course resort managers said it was the fault of cost cutters. Food over priced and a poor selection considering the camp was full.
Brean Leisure Park, this was sold off a few years ago. Facilities are good but! Swimming pools closed at peculiar times and not allowing families to enter during some heavy wet weather. Managers without the ability to be flexible or manage 'they were not wrong, just doing me job its more that me jobs worth to get you in out of the rain'
The night club RJs, had some good entertainment for little ones and the kids entertainers were nice. But the Bar staff were surly and miserable, must have been a long season.
The beach. Sea goes out a very long way, you cant walk out to it due to quick sand, it came in at 6 am and again at 8, 30pm not ideal with a little one. When it did come in it was very warm.
Toilets clean and tidy.
Play area, no facilities for tots on the camp. Okay for juniors though.
Sadly there were some campers that I would not want to share a camp site with again thank you. Will we go again? No thank you.
