The site is very expensive but as it is the only one in or near this beautiful town we were prepared to pay. I know everyone says the toilets are spotless but I feel that 5 times a day cleaning is a bit excessive and that was the 5 times I happened to go in there so I would imagine it was more than 5 times.

Also during our few days stay it was always one of two men cleaning when the lady was in the mens, I must say that I found it quite uncomfortable when they just called and walked straight in. So yes of course the toilets are spotless, but I have been to many sites with spotless facilities not needing attention this many times!

It is easy to access, has lifting floor barrier, making it secure.

This year the 'sherpa ' buses were £1 for all single journeys, well worth taking from the town centre, with lovely views for all to enjoy so no one has to drive. Go for the open top one which runs 2 or 3 times a day, all other times closed in.

Tourist information in town, didn't eat locally, has a spa and londis shop, lovely cafe/coffee shop on station, really relaxing with sofas. Always busy

Overall, lovely campsite but the staff were unfriendly.

The location of the campsite is excellent, right in the middle of betws y coed. There is a train line that runs right along side the campsite that is quite noisy but it's not very regular and I imagine it would only bother people in tents (which we were and it didn't bother us that much).

The shower/toilet facilities were excellent but quite far away from the tent pitch and required a key to get in, so if you forgot to take your key it was a real pain. Also you only get one key per group which wasn't very practical.

It was a shame to see so many signs saying no to children's games as this would be a really nice place for kids to play.

The security is excellent with 2 barriers.

I am sad to say though, we were made to feel, by the lady on reception, that she was doing us a favour by letting us stay there right from the start. We are young professionals and were very polite to her and so gave her no reason to be this way. This continued for the duration of the stay and we were made to feel very unwelcome.

Betws y coed is beautiful though, definitely recommend going there.

Very good site, but it is reflected in the price. Booking in is easy, barrier gate entry.

We were on a standard pitch, which was next to railway but the trains never really bothered us.

Toilet shower block, very clean but up by static caravans and super pitches. Quite away from the standard tourers which was a pain and only 1 key per caravan for showers so a little limited.

Not really a child friendly site,no park, no ball games, which is a shame as there is a piece of land a bottom of site which could accommodate this. If you have children who like to play out.Not the site for you !

Excellent position for Betws town.Over the bridge and you there.

If clean facilities and town location are what you want, this is a good site.

Absolutely gorgeous site - (although I think the sunny weather makers most sites look good tbh !) Immaculate facilities, and so clean everywhere. Only downside for us was no where at all for kids to play, no ball games anywhere at all and no playground. But I think that's what makes the site so peaceful.Playgrounds attract noise.Cant have it all ways I suppose! I have to say that while the reception staff were polite - they didn't come across as 'friendly' - almost as though they were doing you a favour by letting you stay there - rather than you doing them a favour by paying them nearly 30 quid a night for the pleasure!

Betws y coed is a beautiful little place, a lovely river where the kids can paddle and plenty of shops to look round. We struggled to find somewhere suitable to go out for a birthday meal though - and ended up driving several miles to a pub we found in the good beer guide - The ship Inn at Trefiw - where the food was fantastic. Llandudno.Conwy and Caenarfon all within driving distance. Parking seems to be cheapest I have ever found on holiday - £1.50 - £2.00 for between 4 and 8 hours! Wow! We would definitely return to this site, but probably without the kids. Oh.And the trains - although infrequent were very audible from where we were - and I definitely heard one at 6.Am !

Stayed here for a week and it was without a doubt one of the best sites we have stayed on. That said, for the price they charge it should be.

Booking in was easy and the site was very secure with a barrier at the main entrance shut at night and a barrier that you had to have a key card for to enter the touring section of the park at any time.

Trains others had mentioned didn't really bother us, but our son loved watching them go past.

We had a super pitch that was hardstanding and very flat, it was a good size and not that much more expensive than a normal pitch.

The toilet block was absolutely spotless, and was the cleanest we have ever seen. In general all the facilities were perfect with a real eye to detail. The wardens were always around fixing and cleaning and even the chemical disposal point was spotless.

Some fantastic walks all around the area and right next to Snowdonia, an ideal base to explore North Wales.

Betws-y-coed is only a short 5 minute walk away and has everything you could need, and is one of the reasons we chose to stay here.

No children's play park, but there is plenty to do within a short walk.

In short, a very expensive site, but worth the money. It is clean and well maintained and in an ideal location. Pitches are big and well laid out.

My only gripe would be that the wireless internet was extra, and at the price we paid I would have expected it for free.

Other than that, top marks.

My girlfriend and I arrived at the site on Thursday to be greeted by a very friendly warden who was very helpful. As we drove through first impressions were very good an immaculate facility and pitches.

Toilets were outstanding and showers excellent and the temperature was excellent considering how cold it was outside. Pitch had plenty of space and were offset to the caravans opposite which is nice so we didn't have to stare into someone elses caravan.

Offsite it is a short walk over the railway bridge into the lovely town so location is very good with regular bus and train times running to many of the nearby villages.

So far so good. The only complaint we have of the site is that after our hook up we had problems getting a picture on our new television and found this very annoying considering we were paying for a super pitch and was therefore using their ariel for digital link up. We complained and was told that they have had nothing but problems since they went digital and that there was nothing that they could do. Anyhow we did manage to get a picture later on that evening but the next night was not so successful and was very temporary on our 3rd night so obviously the problem is intermittent.

Overall apart from bad tv signal they get and the pitches being a bit on the costly side we most probably will return again.

Nice site, toilet/shower blocks kept very clean and grounds well looked after.

Generally a quiet site, however, the first train is around 7.30am. Woke us all up on the Monday morning with a bit of a start, but on following days managed to doze off again until the next train 1 hour later. A number of other caravanners commented on how close the trains were. Didn't bother us throughout the day, so if you're an early riser it won't be a problem.

Dog walk is along the adjacent river and is very good.

Easy walking distance to village.

No play area for children, but field a few minutes away.

The facilities are excellent though you are at the top end of sites/ prices. The shower block was spotless. Though there are only 4 showers and 4 WCs plus sinks in the gents. As it was not peak season we did not have long to wait for either.

The site is very well placed for the town. Only a short walk over the railway line. The first train of the day is about 6am and pretty much every hour after that. Not really a noise issue.

We found the site well signposted. A short 2 mile walk to Swallow falls. A very well stocked Spar in the town and a few pubs/ hotels all within walking distance.

The super pitch has all connections at the rear of the pitch. We had to buy a length of waste pipe at a reasonable price from the shop.

I still find it unusual that a lot of sites still do not recycle rubbish.

What can you say about this site other than excellent. Spotlessly clean throughout, warm welcoming showerblocks which are of a standard only to be followed by others.

Pleasant helpful staff. Centrally located, walking distance to town.We pitched by the railway and it never bothered us as the trains don't run through the night (except the ghost train which stops at the graveyard just outside the site). Good supplied shop.

We nick named this site Colditz! We have a VW LT camper which is in very good condition but were told by the receptionist that the manager may come and check out our van to see if it was suitable! he didn't nevertheless!

£27 for a super pitch! the only difference was that it had water tv socket and hook up. All the statics are green maybe to fit in with the trees?

But on the plus side it is close to town.

Wont be going back ever!
