Stayed just for one night - couple with a dog and a touring caravan.
The facilities are what you would expect when visiting any caravan club site; reception combining small shop selling the usual essentials, spotless heated shower block containing toilets, showers, laundry and dish washing facilities.
The location of this site is excellent - you can walk into the town of Betws y Coed in a few minutes and find a reasonable range of pubs and places to eat; shops are adequate but many tend to be a little 'touristy' offering gifts and outdoor clothing.
No dog exercise field but plenty of walks nearby, the back end of the park has access to a lovely walk along the river.
The only negative point was the receptionist both on the telephone and in person. A friendly greeting and a smile goes a long way, maybe she was having a bad day but I found her abrupt and quite rude.

A really super site in the most perfect location. Beautiful surroundings, clean, quiet, excellent amenities and very helpful and knowledgeable staff. This was probably one of the best weeks we have had in our Motorhome because of the superb range of options for days out. We spent some days walking, including to the beautiful Swallow Falls and on others we took trains or buses to places like Llanberis or Porthmadog. And Betws-y-Coed itself has plenty going on. We were sad to leave.

Another great stay at Riverside - our 4th or 5th over the last 2 years.
We had a serviced pitch (number 41), which is a huge pitch, plenty of space to get the caravan, car and awning on the pitch. The pitch was pretty much pan flat too, so pitching is easy.
The toilet block was spotlessly clean despite the site being full. There was plenty of pressure on the showers and the water was very warm. The washing up facilities are excellent and kept very clean.
The site itself is immaculate with the grass being kept at a short length and hedges/bushes being well managed.
All of the staff who we came into contact with were, helpful polite and friendly. I would definitely stop here again without hesitation.

Stayed 18th to 20th April. Very easy and friendly check in. Great large well laid out gravel pitch. Lovely lawns to sit or lie on. Statics well maintained. Good waste and fresh water facility. Nice little shop. Village 5 minutes walk away. I really loved it. Spot on. The miniature railway is only a day time thing and it's not intrusive. Lovely mountain views. Great to see the RAF jets fly low on exercise during the day.

Stayed for 3 nights, a wonderful site in a great location, very similar to a Caravan Club site, large hard-standing pitches and spotless facilities. The wardens were very friendly, welcoming and informative.
Only a 5 minute walk into the centre of Betws-y-Coed. We will be definitely staying again.

We have stayed a few times on this site because of its excellent proximity to local amenities. On arrival all formalities were taken care of in a professional manner. Toilets and showers etc were good. On second day of stay at 7pm we were told of flood alert and we may have to leave site within 2 hours. Packed awning etc away to be on safe side. Spoke to warden but couldn't seem to get a definite answer from him (very unhelpful under the circumstances). So spent an uncomfortable night on the car park in the village. I would expect the site to have much better system's and information in place to deal with this seemingly uncommon problem.

Stayed Friday to Monday for a wet weekend in Wales! We have friends with a mobile home on site meeting up with them was the purpose of our visit. The setting is excellent mainly flat our superpitch 41 had water access but was one of the pitches where a long lead was needed to make connection to the aquaroll. Scenery is excellent, pitches are hardstanding and well marked. The site was kept very clean but the amenities for the gents were quite small for the size or the camp and was one of the few places were I have had to queue for a shower. Wardens very helpful and friendly. The lack of a playground is perhaps a disadvantage for those with children. There is a shop with basic provisions, there are no large supermarkets in Betws y but there are convenience stores. The noise from the railway didn't trouble us, the noise from the miniature railway was quite loud but this only operates in daylight hours. There are plenty of pubs and eating places in the town which is only a very short walk away. We enjoyed our short stay and will return.

Our third stay at this campsite and it was amazing again. The site is absolutely spotless as are the facilities. The site was very busy, but was still kept very clean. The shop is stocked with the essentials and there are shops close by in town. We stayed on a serviced pitch which was very large and very level. The wardens/staff are all very helpful and cheerful. We will definitely return to this site, it is one of our favourite sites.

A lovely secluded site right in the heart of Betws Y Coed. Walking distance into the town and beautiful walks along the river can be had straight out of the site gate. If it's an immaculate site you are after with rules to keep it just so then this is for you! We spent 4 nights here and could have easily stayed longer. We were lucky to have fantastic weather but it's an ideal site whatever the weather as each pitch is on gravel hard standing (remember your rock pegs for the awning!) separated from each other with a little lawned area in a lot of cases.
The amenities were first class! We were a family of two adults and a 2 year old. Whilst the site isn't geared up for children (no play area/ball games etc) they had provided the most adorable children's bath room with fully plumbed in bath (not a separate stand alone baby bath) & child's toilet. The laundry consisted of two large washers and dryers, ironing board, sink area and there was a separate room for washing up/veg prep.
Whilst the site is great for all ages I would say it's definitely geared more to couples/retired which perhaps added to the calmness and general feel!?
Would definitely return if ever visiting these parts again.

Just came back from this site today with quite a few grumbles I am afraid. We got there at 12. 20 and the warden made us leave the site, and told us to come back in 30 minutes as we were too early. We had to enter the site to turn around and there were plenty of vacant pitches where we could have temporarily parked up until he had allocated us our space. So we came back 30 minutes later - not impressed by this after a 150 mile trip there! If your space allocated is at the top of the site beware the thundering noise of the hourly train which starts at 6am until 9pm and the church bells chime through the night on the hour. The train track is above the height of the caravans so it certainly rumbles through the caravan. Toilet block clean but not big enough and too far away from top of site. Beware of this section of the site as you get a very hemmed in feeling as the hedges are about 30 feet tall. Would never go back to this site. Complaint submitted to Morris Leisure.
