June 2004 Wonderful site, very helpful and friendly owners, a great family site with small games room, table tennis, pool, air hockey and table football, plus a separate pre-bookable snooker table (all small additional charges) adventure area and trampoline. A really well organised site, spotless toilets :o) that were closed from 2-4pm each day for cleaning!! Free hairdryers!! They had covered plate wash, laundry room and iron (additional charge). Good size pitches, but noticed there were some smaller ones, BBQ's allowed but not directly on grass - they will supply you with some bricks if need be :o) We will definately visit again, hopefully for few more nights :o)

May 2004 Arrived without a booking to this nice well maintained site. The owners were helpful and to our relief managed to get us in even though they were obviously busy. A1 facilities including shop & takeaway. Prices well within family budgets. The shop also had a well stocked camping spares & accessories section. Clean and well maintained toilet and shower block, one of the best we have seen (the men's toilet even had a basket of flowers in!!!) The kids thoroughly enjoyed the playpark and trampoline which were well supervised by the owners overlooking the area from the shop. Perhaps the only downside to this site was the long wait to use the 1 washing machine and tumble dryer. We would definately return again.

may 2002 Made to feel very welcome throughout our stay. Park is very clean and tidy although feels unfinished. Really nice, shaded pitches for tents but cannot understand why toilet block is situated at other end of caravan field. Very good waste and recycling programme in place which helps keep costs down and gives a sense of helping the envioronment. Overall, a really nice place to spend a weekend.

june2003 fantastic family park.a warm welcome on arrival, great park for the kids with a trampolene.toilet and showers get top marks! the owners were keen to help in any way that they could, they even offered to try their best to book us the same pitch that we had this time the next time that we came. any noise at night was quickly dealt with and the park was quiet. if you enjoy respect and peace and quiet where both you and the children can sleep at night, this is the place for you.

20/6/03 Made very welcome by the owners. All tents are allocated to individual pitches so there's plently of space. The playground is great for kids and the facilities were good.
The town is 3mins by car and has everything yo need. The beach is just as close and has free parking and a great cafe.
Will go again.

Various visits We have been going to Acorn Caravan and Camping, Rose Dew Farm for many years. I started taking my children when they were young and meeting friends there to stay for a week. Now my own children take their children and are making plans to go again. It is very easy to get to wether you come East (from England) or West (West Wales, Pembrokeshire etc). The improvements over the years have been a complete upgrade of the toilet and shower facilities, these are always clean. The play area has had a trampoline added and various park like features, climbing frames, swings etc. The overall impression is safety. No matter where you are sited on the camp you have a feeling of safety for the whole family. Derek and Sandra keep an eye on all aspects of the site and will encourage the children to play fairly on all toys. The shop is well equipped ideal for things forgotten ie milk tea coffee and other food, as well as souveneirs. There is also a well equipped food bar which means that you don't even have to leave the site if you don't want to!
