Small site, quite nice, the hedged pitches looked nice although didn't get much sun, and were quite small.
It would be nice if the had hedges all round. The weekend we were there there was quite a large group together and they were very noisy until well past the 11pm.
Plenty for children to do
Toilets and shower are in need of upgrading
Nice to have a copy shop on site too

This is a lovely little site situated at the far end of a residential estate set between the quaint town of Llantwit Major and the coast (both being about a 30 minute walk from the site)
There is a very good cafe and small shop on site and the toilet / shower facilities are very spacious and kept very clean, mainly grass pitches are well spaced with some being nicely separated by small hedges,
The town has a couple of supermarkets, numerous pubs and restaurants as well as a good chippy,
The roads around the area and though the town are very narrow in places so DO NOT RELY ON SAT NAV follow the directions given on the campsites website !
we would definitely use again when exploring the stunning coastline in this area.

Stayed here during a short visit to Llantwit Major. Being out of season the site itself was very quiet, so I can't say what it would be like during the peak season.
Based on what I could see, the pitches were well marked out, with hedges to provide shelter from the coastal winds. Toilet facilities were all in good order (an achievement given that it was the end of the season), as was the grass area with the paths and tracks not turning into a mud bath.

Great site stayed only three nights was hoping to stay longer but due to circumstances unable to. Will return whenever possible. Took grandson on his first trip and he loved it. Owners made us feel welcomed and very understanding and helpful. Their son is a credit to them, collecting a map concerning walks, and telling me about the area. Our grandson loved playing with him and others in the play area. Site shop ideal. Perfect site for a family holiday and the toilet block and showers were very clean and tidy. Others staying on the site field were very friendly, campers, caravans, and other motorhomes.
Site inspected by owners on regular basis during day and it would appear they endeavour to attend to any problems arising at that time. Looking forward to next visit!

One night spent here in my campervan. Decent plot amongst static caravans and next to facilities. Flat, well kept.
Excellent site for kids - outdoor play and an indoor entertainment room. Which unfortunately would put me off going again but only because I prefer no kids!
No sea views as far as I could tell. We drove down to Llantwit Major beach in the morning for breakfast at the beach cafe - that was ok. Just ok though. Take cash!

The good;
Big flat pitches, plenty of really clean toilets & showers, good washing up facilities, 20 minute walk from beach (less if no little ones!), new owners friendly.
Couple of suggestions;
Could do with more water taps, only 2 for large site.
Great having shop/cafe facility but would have been better if could be open earlier as not until 9am and when camping usually up and breakfasted by 7. 30am!
Site states quiet time from 11pm however this is not monitored by the owners. Unfortunately we had an extremely rowdy group behind us, singing, shouting music etc, sent hubby to ask if they could keep it down at 12. 30am but still persisted until 2am, not great!

Although the SatNav took us to the campsite, it was a little confusing as we had to go through a static retirement home, then a working farm.
We didn't have much to do with the owners, when we did they were polite. Pitchers were flat, well spaced and shower block easily located, clean, well maintained.
There is a children's play area and games room (which we did not use)
There is a good walk for dogs, down a lane, then across a meadow, which takes you all way to a beach (dogs not allowed on beach during seasonal periods) which is not sand, but a rocky outcrop. There is a cafe, ice cream stall.
The site is about 16 miles from Cardiff, within a lovely fully equipped village.
At the time of our stay (mid June) it was quiet and plenty of spaces, I would recommend this site for anyone wishing for a short break or going to places in the area.

My wife and I visited this campsite for a weekend break with our friends (in two tents) we found the staff at the site friendly and helpful, the beach about half an hour away which was very clean, and the town of llantwit major very pleasant indeed! there are several pubs (that I felt I had to visit) and also a good butchers shop for supplies! All in all a lovely campsite with clean showers/toilet blocks and a handy shop just what you need for a break away from normal life, I will be back soon!

Just spent the weekend at this campsite and we really enjoyed. Very helpful lady at reception who directed us to our pitch. Nice walk from the site down to the pebbly beach, with a small cafe and also a 15 min walk into the town. The site is slightly sloping and levelling blocks could come in handy.
After reading some of the comments regarding the access road I was a bit concerned, but we followed the directions given on the site's website, past the chalets and they were spot on with no potholes. In addition they avoid taking you through the town which would be very tight for large outfits. If you come the other way I could see the problem with the potholes. So it would be wise to look at their website and follow their directions and take your time over the speed bumps.
We will certainly return in the future.

Been coming here for over 10 years and it has always proved to be clean and tidy. The owners are very friendly and extremely helpful. Children also enjoy the play area and how convenient other amenities ie town centre to spend money, walks and beach. Notice that drive into site has been resufaced so owner obviously take reviews serious. Shower block and washroom very clean and practical. Well done Paul, and family for helping to make our stay a good one.
