Wow! Fantastic. We pitched in the gales and as the site is in a dip we were well protected. Surrounded by trees and hills what more could you wish for. When we left we had near 8 inches of Snow on the car, how exciting! it was so magical. Staff were fantastic. Loo's and showers first rate. Anyone looking for a great site this is the one to book.

What a brilliant site, friendly staff, toilet and shower block that would put Hilton hotels to shame. Good walks especially to cromer and east runton. The village pub in west runton allows dogs.Yes had a enjoyable 3day stay even if the weather was atrocious.A credit to the ccc.

This site is without doubt the best I've stayed at. Made a week of solid rain almost bearable! Toilets are immaculate and huge. Site is grassy with one road around it. Very thoughtfully laid out. Shop sells loal bread and, more importantly, cakes. Staff friendly and helpful. Both East and West Runton are walking distance, North Norfolk coastal path runs alongside the site (to give you an idea of how much it rained, this was more akin to a fast flowing stream whilst we were there). Site is well drained. ABSOLUTELY SUPERB!

First outing with the family and new tent could have been a recipe for disaster! But our 2 girls 22 months and nearly 7 both enjoyed them selves as did us parents, friendly, clean and quiet site highly recommended, will return for sure. If going make sure you visit in no particular order Wells next to Sea, great beach, Cley, good smoke house, deli and pub and a boat trip to see the seals off Blakney point is a must.

We have just had a great week at this site. The shower/toilet facilities are the best we've ever experienced. Lots of showers/toilets - all exceptionally clean. They even have individual cubicles with wash basins for private teeth cleaning, etc. As mentioned in other reviews, the track to the site is very bumpy. On our way in on the first day, my husband had to help push a caravan on its way out up the hill which had become stuck in the mud! Our son (5 years) had a fantastic week and didn't want to leave. He had great fun climbing the trees near our pitch and playing with the other many children camping here. Would definitely use this site again if we were staying in this area.

One word WOW! We have just spent 6 nights at this site and it is beautiful, peaceful with excellent facilities. I have seen worse toilets in expensive hotels these were immaculate. The 'track' down to the campsite is bumpy (as a previous reviewer mentioned) and we wondered what we would find at the end, but we need not have worried. A note about the track, as it's narrow in places, arrivals to the site have right of way after 12pm. Departures before 12pm. There is a Morrisons supermarket on the way to Cromer.there is also a spar shop in West Runton. Sherringham, Wells near the sea, Cromer and Clay near the sea were our favourite places to visit. Mary Janes (sp?) chip shop in Cromer is a must for those abandoning their diets. Everything cooked in dripping and delicious! As is ' Straits' in Sherringham. Car parking on the sea front at Cromer £3 per day fills up quickly. There is a pay and display car park near to Morrisons too. Site shop ran out of basic food after the weekend so just bare this in mind. This is a super site.

Superb site. We have been there for the last 4 years and the standard of the facilities are as high as we have encountered anywhere. We often leave the car and use the footpaths to access the local towns and villages including Sheringham, Cromer, East Runton and West Runton.

We (2 adults and kids aged 8 and 5) loved this site. Up to the usual Camping and Caravanning Club standards - especially the clean, spacious and warm loos/shower blocks with lots of basins as well. Useful to have a washer/dryer on site (more than one machine would have been ever better). Newspaper van every morning, and handy little shop for basics on site. Beautiful site, great facilities, loads to do nearby - almost perfect. Would certainly go there again.

After our last visit to Norfolk in what seemed like a kids club this was a real breath of fresh air!. Not only beautifully and thoughtfully landscaped, but an oasis of peace. West Runton is a little off the tourist trail as at first glance from the coast road the Runtons don't seem so attractive, but after this site was recommended by a friend in Sheringham we found hidden gems. East Runton beach is super. This is a Camping & Caravan Club site so we joined on arrival. Great staff and facilities to rival your own home for cleanliness and quality! Loved the wooded backdrops and walks. Only small downside for campervanners is the long gravel drive to and from the site. No problem for caravanners or campers with separate cars, but a bit bumpy for campervans and motorhomes and all the stuff jangling about each time we left the site. ( we don't all pack as well for short journeys as the 'proper' packing for the main trek from home to site). Walking into West Runton isn't too much of a chore though and there is a first rate camping shop on the high street and a well stocked Spar shop. We've already booked again for July and will put bikes on the rack next time to reduce the number of journeys on and off the site. National Trust 'Roman Camp' woodland opposite the entrance is a fantastic wildlife site. One to enjoy!

This is the best site I have stayed on so far, and I enjoyed it so much we have booked to go back again in July. Very friendly and helpful staff, lots of space for pitches, not too much noise & EXTREMELY clean shower/toilet facilities. I was very impressed with the showers - they had plenty of them, always hot & very clean, like I say - ideal for people who like the idea of camping but get put off by horror stories of dirty/cold showers! There's a small play area for kids, newspaper delivery via van each morning & a small shop on site.
