Just arrived home from this site and I cannot praise it highly enough. As the previous have said, the facilities are excellent but I agree with the person who said the showers were a little hot until I got used to them after a few minutes. Very friendly wardens. The beach is actually walkable from the site. I did it myself and I am not a keen walker but you wouldn't want to walk it with beach stuff but its good just for a stroll. I first joined the club at this site about 18 years ago and have been back several times since then.

We very much enjoyed our short Easter break at this super site. The wardens were very welcoming and friendly and let us choose where we wanted to pitch. We selected a nice level pitch, as many were on a slight slope, but all appeared a good size. The toilet blocks were the largest and cleanest that we have ever seen before, with some of the showers being large enough to accommodate several family members at once, which is great if you have a young family. The site is situated in a very peaceful location, the only sounds being the birds singing, and a woodpecker pecking! There are some delightful walks from the site (great for dog-owners) and we particularly enjoyed watching the sun set over the sea, although it was too far to walk all the way to the beach. The entrance to the site is via a long single-track road through the woods and although there are plenty of passing bays, we were pleased not to meet anyone on our way in and out! Apparently those leaving the site before12 noon have the right of way over those arriving and vice versa, although whether everyone is aware of this, I'm not sure! A man drives round the site selling newspapers every morning about 9.30am which was very welcome. There is no need to pre-order. We would highly recommend this lovely site.

I have visited this site several times as it is ideal for families and also for dogs. It has excellent facilities and is close to lovely walks, viewpoints and beaches. We have been there as a family abut 8 times in the past 4 years that must speak volumes for it. We have used it as a base to visit the Little Theatre at Sherringham and also to visit Sticky Fingers cafe in nearby Cromer. The recent addition of laundry facilities make it an even better site. The kids like the play park and were a little saddened when one of the trees had to be cut down for safety reasons. A very friendly site.

Very nice site with friendly and helpful staff. Lovely facilities - really nice and clean. The pitch was flat and tidy and our stay was very enjoyable. The Play area appreciated by the children, as was the fish and chip van which visited twice a week.

We visited West Runton in the first week of the kids holidays. The site was busy but not packed until the Thursday / Friday morning. Fantastic welcome by Tony, who helped and was friendly and very helpful throughout our stay. A fantastic site for sight seeing the North Norfolk coast. Amazing ablutions, always clean and kept to an amazing standard by the staff. Even when the site was full there was no drop in the standard the site was kept in. Well done to the Caravan and Camping club, 10/10 for the site and the staff, we will be returning soon.

Really excellent toilet, shower and basin facilities. They also had a family room for my friends with children. Campsite not too large so didn't feel like just a number. Our group was made up of a caravan, and several tents of various sizes. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only downside I can see is the steepish gravel drive down to the site which is okay in a car but on a bike was a killer.!

Ive visited this site many time since I was young but this year was my first time back for 7 years and with my own tent. The site itself is the cleanest I've ever come across, no less than 3 toilet cleans a day. The staff are very helpful and always smile. The local area has many walks and Ickborah Hill is located right next to the site and provides excellent views of the Norfolk coast. One down point is the approach to the site which must be taken very carefully if you appreciat the suspension in your car or bike in my case, it's very bumpy! Another thing, if like me your young and want to just to get away dont go on peak weeks or school hols as it's packed with children with no self control. Other than that its a brill site ! go there now!

I have stayed at this site many times as a child (now 33) and always had a wonderful time. My grandad is 83 and returns here year after year. I finally convinced my oh to try camping and thought it best to go somewhere we could trust.
We were not disappointed, fantastic shower/toilet facilities, beautiful surroundings and so much to do in the area. Site shop is very basic but there is a Morrison's in Cromer if you need supplies. Cromer beach is superb, we will definitely be returning in 2006.

FAB! We have just got back from the best time ever. We have been to this site before, and go back time and again.everything is clean, everyone friendly!
Our only issue was the allocation of pitch- us and 3 other caravans (not together) were put on the slope rather than some flater pitches near the play area (where we wanted to be). The flater pitches were unoccupied during the length of our stay. I think I need to be a bit more specific next time.
Changes this year: Family room- you now need to leave a deposit of £5 for a key to the family room (s). This has been done for safety so children do not go in unsupervised and burn themselves on the shower. Plants in the Ladies. Different team running the site - Still Extremely friendly.

August 2005 A beautiful beautiful site, with superb facilites block. Sea/beach not really walkable from site, but fantastic views from walks around site. Our first visit to a C & CC site, and great! Site large, with lovely wooded areas, and small play area. West Runton village has small shops, pub, and East Runton has beach down track. 10 mins away in car. Cromer and Sheringham 15 mons in car lovely towns.
