Sytche is a truly wonderful site. Lizzie and Barry could not be more helpful from the moment you arrive. The site is terraced and our pitch had a very gentle slope that did not affect us.
The toilet/shower block was kept spotless even during a busy week and there was constant hot water that was not affected when it seemed all showers, sinks etc were in use. There is also a little information and book swop hut with a small freezer for ice blocks.
There is no shop on site but Much Wenlock is a 10 minutes walk either down the lane or via woods and fields with public footpaths.
There is no designated play area for children ie no swings but plenty of grass for kicking a ball throwing a frisby etc, the old fashioned playtime.
Barry and Lizzie have been very good at managing group bookings to allow other areas of the site to be quieter, but it seems to have a natural rhythm to quiet down before 11pm.
Approximately 10 minutes away is Ironbridge Gorge a world herritage site, Telford has all the supermarkets (fun to find)and Bridgnorth approx 15 minutes the Severn Valley Railway with steamtrains to Kidderminster, and great stop offs in between.
There is so much to do within a 20 mile radius from exploring the heart of the industrial revolution to the tranquillity of hill tops and nature.
Sytche Site is well worth the stay and we will be looking forward to returning again soon.

We have just spent 2 nights at here and it is brilliantly located for Ironbridge and walking country. The site is very clean and with good facilities. The wardens/owners are around just to keep an eye on things and always welcome you with a smile.
You can hear very faintly road traffic but with the calmness of the site, you don't notice it. Much Wenlock, a lovely town, is within easy walking distance.
There is a book swap and a freezer for your ice blocks. The only problem was finding the mobile signal spot to phone home, (up towards the top of the field!)
We will definitely be staying there again.

Stayed for just one night on way back from Ireland and to test out new tent: Very pretty location amongst the hills and very quiet site - a few tents and caravans but plenty of space.
The ground was nice and even for pitching, facilities very clean and information leaflets about the area (at entrance to site) very useful. The children enjoyed exploring the small woodland area by the edge of the site and rolling down the hill.
Site is signposted from the road, you have to drive through a small housing estate which nearly fooled us but we found that the pubs in Much Wenlock were all rather expensive just for a quick family meal, so ended up using the Chinese takeaway in the town!
Would stay again to explore Ironbridge etc and the local area properly.

A lovely rural location surrounded by fields, site is well looked after & the staff are really friendly. The site is sloping (tiered) but pitches for caravans/motorhomes are more or less level, toilets & showers are free & very clean.
Much Wenloch has everything you may need. Shops, pubs, take aways etc & is just over a 10 minute walk either through the woods or via the road way.
We first visited this site at the end of last month & liked it that much that we came back with family in their tent & motorhome.
To pitch our caravan with awning & electric, 2 adults & 2 kids was £20 per night, there was no extra charge for the family's gazebo.
The site is very popular so it is best to book prior to just turning up. We will most definitely return to this site again & again.

We've just spent 5 nights on this site. Its a lovely site with excellent facilities, all be it in a prefabricated unit. The toilets were cleaned at least 3 or 4 times through out the day at the weekend, when the site was full of campers.
There was a large percentage of tent campers and the atmosphere was lovely, a bit hectic with all the families but not noisy.
There were plenty of dog walk choices straight off the site The lovely town really is within easy walking distance with a great butchers, dog friendly pubs and good eating opportunities.
Easy access to Ironbridge, Bridgenorth and Shewsbury can be reached by an hourly bus service and Ludlow is about 17 miles away.
A must is a visit to Wenlock Priory in the town centre its English Heritage and is the most beautiful tranquil site we have visited in ages, a real gem.

Stayed at Styche for one night as it is local to us and we were trying out a new tent for this year.
The campsite is a little sloping but fine. Had a torrential downpour when we were there and the site drained fine. No standing water at all.
The shower & toilet blocks are lovely :-) plenty of hot water, dish washing facilities in a little hut with 2 sinks only. Could get busy??
The owners were friendly and were busy doing site jobs and cleaning throughout our stay.
Lovely views from the campsite and isolated from any main roads. 10 minute walk into the lovely market town of Much Wenlock.
We would return with no hesitation!

This is a gem of a site. It is quite small. The caravan and motor home pitches are level and set out in terraces. The camping pitches are at the top of the site which is still level. There was plenty of hook ups and water points. Although I'm not sure if there are hook ups for camping.
The shower block is nice and clean with plenty of hot water. There is a wash up next to the shower block.
The staff on site were very friendly and helpful. The female member of staff even lent us her bus time table.
The village of Much Wenlock is a ten minute walk from the site, and Iron bridge a fifteen or twenty minute drive. We tried public transport, but the last bus returned just after 3pm so we didn't have enough time to see all of this historic world heritage site, so we drove over the next day.
Sytche is a family site, but there are not any specific facilities for children. This didn't seem to bother the children that were on the site when we were there, they just made their own fun. In fact it was nice to see kids just playing together and helping their dads with the washing up.

We stayed at this site last year and it was absolutely brilliant. The Managers around all the time were so helpful. This is the best site we had stayed on for a few years. UK Campsite is a good site to get good places to pitch at.
Lovely setting, facilities so very clean and modern and well serviced. We booked in advance for a 2 week stay and enjoyed the peace and position for visiting all the interesting sites around Telford.
The managers even looked after our dog as a special treat when we went to a museum for the day. That's service. We were going to take him to a kennels for the day.

Have been to this site a few times. It's a lovely spot, great links to public footpaths direct from the site of you like walking or have dogs.
It's a very well maintained site. Pitches well prepped and toilet and shower facilities kept clean and tidy. You do need some plugs for the sinks in the shower/toilet blocks though. It makes no sense not to have these? very odd how they've taken them out!
Just a 10 minute walk into the town of Much Wenlock where you have some great pubs a few nice shops and a fabulous award winning butchers!
The wardens are often around on site taking care of things and are helpful in making your stay a good one. They clearly take a lot of pride in doing a good job which is lovely.
Definitely a site I'd recommend. It's been a regular of ours for a while now :-)

We stayed here for 2 nights and had a great time.
Phoned ahead to make a booking with deposit and when we had to amend our booking via email that was easily sorted. The campsite is easy to find, though the lane up to it is quite narrow.
Shown to a fantastic pitch right at the top of the tent field- felt very regal! Was sloping more than we would like but the view and position made up for it. Right next to a feature log which our children named 'the crocodile' they really felt sad saying goodbye.
3 well sized showers and toilets per sex, plentiful hot water and soap. Being a little picky- they could have done with more hooks but they do the job they need to do! 2 washing up places, did have to queue on the Sunday but that was down more to the slow washer-uppers! Great information cabin, with a small book 'library' and freezer for freezing coolbox blocks.
Small playpark on way into Much Wenlock, and there was a reasonably stocked Spar shop, and also a butchers, very friendly staff in both. We used the site to visit Ironbridge museums, got the passport and went for Blist Hill (whole day), and Engunity, the bridge and the tar tunnels the next day. Hope to return soon and fit in some of the others.
The wardens are very friendly and helpful, you see them about a lot, plus I noticed they cleaned the loos/showers twice a day. It was busy when we went, yet still had an air of peace and feel of good camping.
We had stunning weather but chatting to a fellow camper who had said that in torrential rain the site had drained well- certainly our mallet stayed in the equipment box.
We're only 90 minutes away from this site and I can see that we will return quite often- it's very close to our idea of a perfect camping site.
