We stayed here from friday to monday and it was brilliant, we were in a 9 man tent and situated on the top tier in the middle.
It was in easy reach of the washing up shed which has 2 sinks and hot water (take your own bowl), next to this in a fenced off area is the chemical disposal unit.
The showers and toilets are at the bottom of the campsite at the side of the house, but are lovely and clean and the showers are hot and free.
Our 3 children had no problems getting to the toilets even though my youngest is only 4.
We did take a luggable loo which was handy in the middle of the night, I think a second shower and toilet block is being built so this will be good.
There is lots to look round, the wenlock priory is good and a windmill, we also walked it to wenlock edge through fields and paths.
There was also a lovely children's playground which is just out of the lane and right then a left. The kids also have large areas to play games on.
The town itself is small but has a spar and lots of other shops only a short walk,we took everything with us so we cant comment on food or beer in pubs(but if you go to the priory they have a gift shop with some lovely wine and mead)
The only gripe we had and you get used to it by the second day is the rookery of crows get you up at 4.30am but hey that's not the campsites fault we slept through it the second and third day.
There is also a milkman who does a round on saturdays between 8am and 8.30am he does milk eggs local produce etc.
But lastly I would like to mention the wardens barry and lizzy they are absolutely fantastic, they go out of their way to help you and always find time to stop and chat even though they are very busy its like being at home away from home.
It cost us £10 deposit and £40 when we got there which we thought was great for 3 nights.
They have plenty of EHU but we didn't use one I think it costs £1 a night for that.
All in all this site has a 10* rating from us and we will definitely be going again!

We visited this lovely, peaceful site during the Easter weekend and will definitely be returning! Our party consisted of 2 adults and 2 children age 4 and 8 and we all really enjoyed our relaxing break there. On arrival we were a little disappointed that the nearest park was across a main road away from the site, meaning that the children couldn't go there alone, BUT there were plenty of well behaved really friendly children on site all willing to play!Plus on visiting the playground we were most impressed, all very new and modern and plenty of great things to play on! The site is nestled in amongst beautiful fields and rolling hills and has easy access to many walks and bike rides. Much Wenlock village which was also very picturesque was only a 5/10 minute walk with a Spar shop! The site is really well located for visits to Telford (great shopping centre) and Shrewsbury.
The site is very well run and only cost £15/night for the 4 of us which we thought was pretty reasonable for a bank holiday! The pitches are tiered and ramps, chocks etc are required for certain pitches!
One thing we would not recommend is the pub just on the way out of Much Wenlock - The Plume of Feathers! Totally overpriced, the cheapest meal on the menu was £10, kids meal £5, it took ages for food to come (even though it was very quiet) and the quality was very poor. 1 course Meal for 4 cost £50 with a round of drinks! Think we'll find a better pub next time!

The site is one of the best we have stayed on and we visit as regularly as possible, the Wardens Barry & Lizzie go out of their way to be helpful and friendly and have made some subtle but welcome changes to the site, the facilities have always been more than adequate and the showers are always clean and there is plenty of hot water, there is plenty of space for the kids to play in safety and just down the lane there is a play area with swings Etc (which I believe is now being renovated).
We recently stayed on Pitch 6 (which we requested) and contrary to Loubeelou's comment having the chemical waste and washing up shed nearby was a bonus! there was no smell and we had no problems with the ground being uneven. The village of much wenlock is a real treat to visit with fresh food available from the market outside the Library, I have been told that the meat from the local butchers is excellent as the queues outside all day will testify (I can't comment on the taste myself being vegetarian).
The local pubs offer a wide range of beers and ales, however the food is quite expensive. There are 2 take aways in the village (Indian & Chinese) and a small bakery selling some beautifully fresh bread.
Further afield, Ironbridge gorge offers spectacular views and plenty of places of interest, there are plenty of places to eat and drink, Highly recommended is the Bird in hand pub just outside Ironbridge which has an extensive menu with very large portions and very friendly staff.
Overall I would recommend The Sytche campsite to anyone (except pitch 6, Because I want it all to myself!)

We were a group of 4 adults and 2 children.
Stokes Barn is a very basic but enjoyable site. The facilities at Stokes Barn are in a shared portacabin split into ladies & gents. Each has 2 showers (which had hot water & were powerful) & 1 toilet. Toilet roll supplied. 2 basins with scolding hot water, no soap. If the site were crowded I think we might have ended up queuing for the loo!
There is also a water tap on the field. There are plenty of walks in the area and we enjoyed exploring the surrounding fields.
The rain was so bad we decided to pack up and leave a day early, however when it was not raining we enjoyed playing ball games and treasure hunts with the kids in and around the area.
Wasps and flies to be expected, as with most outdoor places!
We were able to have a fire, which was great, we dug up the turf and replaced it after we left.
Meant to be quiet after 11pm, however until about 12:30am people were still playing music and chatting but there was nothing very loud and it did not disturb those who prefer to go to sleep earlier.
We very much enjoyed our stay and look forward to going back to this site again!

We spent a lovely weekend at this campsite.
The location is excellent and is completely surrounded by fields and trees and is so quiet. We walked into Much Wenlock village on Saturday afternoon and it was like another world.
The wardens were very helpful during our stay. The total cost for a motorhome, 2 adults, 2 children, awning and dog was just £12 per night which was excellent value for money.
Toilets and showers were basic but very clean so no problems there.
There is no playground for the children but this didn't matter as they made lots of friends and there is an area to play ballgames if they wish.
We will definitely return to this site again in the near future.

Just returned from three nights camping at Stoke's Barn. This site is a large field with toilet and showers in a portacabin. If you like your camping simple, this site is ideal!
Probably due to the bad weather that was forecast (and turned out not to be half as bad as predicted), the site was quiet and the one toilet and two showers in the ladies and gents were adequate, if it was busy they wouldn't be.
Facilities were basic but clean.
Free showers ran out of hot water quickly. Plenty of hot water in sinks.
No dish washing area.
No play area but plenty of space for kids to run free and play.
This is a very laid back site, no rules and regulations! Warden drives round in the evening to collect fees. We had a great time and will return again (as long as its not busy) as there is so much to do in the surrounding area.

Lovely, simple quiet campsite, immaculately clean toilet and shower facilities in portacabins. Very friendly wardens. Easy to find. Blissfully quiet, except for the dawn chorus! Will defintely return.
Short walk into the village. Lots to do in the surrounding area. Convenient for Ironbridge and Blists Hill Victorian village was great.

We have just returned from this site that we hadn't pre-booked. We were given a pitch that wasn't briliant and we wouldn't advise anyone to pitch on no.6. The pitch has the chemical toilet deposal on there plus its very rough / lumpy ground. We struggled to find a level patch. However, this is a nice simple site that is tiered, even so, you still need chocks. There are walks from the site up to the woods and beyond, lovely for an evening walk. The toilet and showers are portocabins. There isn't a park, but the children had an area that they played and they had a great time.
There is a spar in town, they had lovely bread! It's worthwhile getting the OS map as there is so many lovely places to visit here. Of course the Iron bridge, but do take the little back roads up the hill through the houses to the church and beyond there is even a pub up there with a bouncy castle well worth the walk and views. We walked up the Wrekin too, this isn't for the faint hearted I made the mistake of going in trainers, you need walking boots as I could feel every rock and stone. This is also a long walk took us a good couple of hours to get to the top as it is so steep, our little one struggled so we had to have lots of breaks there is a cafe half way up to get an ice-cream. Really enjoyed the site and the area and will return to both.

What a gem of a site! We really enjoyed our stay at the site, Barry and Lizzy the site wardens looked after us well as we arrived and were very helpful during the weekend. The site was well kept and very clean, and had a secluded feel to it. Returning to Sytche is inevitable as there are many more places to visit & explore. Wenlock Edge is a must for keen walkers.

We went to Sytche Camping Park for a couple of days at the beginning of May and we had a really great time. The wardens were really friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. They were full of information about the local area. You were also allowed a camp fire in the ground which added to the atmosphere of the site.
The site is maintained extremely well with very clean toilets and showers - plenty of hot water. The pitches are maintained well and the grass is kept very short which always makes camping that bit easier. It is in a really great location with lots to see and do around the area.
Ironbridge is a good place to visit - good for children. Much Wenlock itself is full of history, pubs, places to eat (indian is good - take your own beer etc.). The town itself is about a 10 min walk. You can also catch a bus to Shrewsbury just up the road from the site. Lots of walking to do also. We will be back!
