Small friendly site within easy reach of Much WEnlock which was only a ten minute walk and well worth a visit. Staff were very helpful. Free use of a freezer for our ice packs and showers were spotless.
The site was on a hill and we were pitched on a slope which was unfortunate. Most of the flat ground was used for caravans.Nice quiet site though and Much Wenlock is lovely with 2 15th century coaching inns.
Prices for eating out were very reasonable too. Very nice Indian restaurant there as well.Nice cut through the woods from the camp site into Much Wenlock.

A pleasant walk to Much Wenlock down the lane or through the fields and round the wood, probably 20 minutes down and a little long back up.
Site is spruce as are the facilities. Great shower/toilet block with free showers. Owner very obliging and lively.
Strong SW winds while we were there and the field is slightly exposed from that direction, though not by coastal standards, so it was blustery. But we had the roof up and slept in it so it can't have been too bad.
Much Wenlock has excellent traditional pub (the George) and great small bookshops.

Spent two nights here over the weekend,a perfect site for relaxing, walking and mooching around the town.
Toilet/shower block very clean, excellent showers with plenty of space. A plug socket in ladies would be useful as I had camping hair all weekend!
Hubby would have liked plugs in sinks in gents. Wardens very friendly and helpful,an extension for hook up was offered without any hassle.
Fab walks from campsite, well signposted. Green booklet from post office has walks from town centre from 2 - 7 mile @£1.50. Good selection of tea shops and pubs all within a 10 min stroll of site.
We will be back!

Our second visit to Styche. Lovely little campsite with clean facilities.
We always choose the far left hand corner as there is a specified fire pit to keep you warm on those cooler evenings.
Only 15 min walk into Much Wenlock where there are some great pubs and the butchers has a great selection of bbq food, but get there early as there is always a queue.
Only 30 min-ish on the bus into Shrewsbury also, the bus stop is on the edge of the village and makes a lovely day out.
Would recommend the site to anyone. Although there is no specified childs playing area due to the small nature of the site, but plenty of room for them to run around.

Just got back from a weekend visit to Sytche. The site isnt too large and is very well laid out. The pitches are terraced so the views are unspoilt. Surrounded by woods and farm fields it is really quiet and peaceful with just the Rooks as background noise.
Washing up hut had 2 sinks and lots of hot water. Elsan disposal very good. Didnt use toilets/showers so cant comment.
About a mile walk into Much Wenlock - part country lane and the rest with good pavements. The town itself is very quaint with half timbered buildings and unusal little shops. The George & Dragon is a small pub with reasonably priced beer and the food looked ok but didn't try. Tried the Indian for a takeaway and it was a bit pricey and neither dish was particularly good compared to our local takeaway.
If you are into bodybuilding (I always have to find a gym for the other half) then 7 miles away in Telford is Hercules Gym. Rough and ready but with a great selection of machines and freeweight and only £3.50 each. Tel: 01952 582082
Would definitely go back to Sytche - very friendly site and a little gem.

We stayed 4 mights Mon - Fri. Site was relatively quiet but 'regulars' told us it got busier at the weekend and there are obviously quite a few caravans that are parked for the summer.
Immaculately kept. Showers were good (tip - press the button several times to get a longer burst of water). Another tip - take a universal plug for the sinks as there aren't any provided (I asked the warden about this and it seems that the plugs walk as soon as they replace them.). Make sure you take a bowl for washing up - or a plug!
The ground is sloping but OK and it drains well. There is an overspill field and thus space for children to kick a ball around but if the site were full I think I'd have to rate the child-friendly down a bit.
I have marked the facilities down a bit but only because many sites have a shop/ games room, etc. Shops (including a caravan supplies) are in nearby Wenock (pick up a Sytche brochure from the site hut for their map of these). The facilities they do have are 10/10.
The site has a in-the-country feel but is a few minutes pleasant walk from the town centre and Much Wenlock is a very picturesque and interesting town to visit.
There is just so much to do around in the area. I recommend Ride the Edge activities (part of the same business as the campsite but on the other side of Wenlock). My son (13) and I went clay pigeon shooting for the first time and had a great time - excellent instruction, well-thought-out structure to the session and good value in terms of cartridges and clays. Around us people seems to be having lots of fun riding quad bikes, mountain boarding etc.
Ironbridge and its museums take at least two days to explore and a passport to all is good value. 'Ingenuity' is apparently really good for children (on our 'next visit' list) - as is Blist Hill Victorian Town (don't miss the Victorian School lesson.)
Sun Valley ((sunvalleycanoeing@calder.Com)might be called Canoe UK now)) is great fun for a canoe down the Severn and Steam Train ride back to Bridgnorth.
Stokesey Castle (English Heritage) is another must.
We packed loads into 4 days and intend to go back for at least another week to do the things we missed because we ran out of time.
In summary - a gem of a campsite in an area with lots to do.

We visited this site for 5 days and were well impressed. The site is very well kept, the site wardens were very friendly and were always busy keeping the site in excellent condition. There is a new toilet/shower block, which is the best we have found on any site. They were always spotless and the showers were hot - excellent facilities. The site is situated in the middle of fields, which can be accessed for long walks- our dog certainly enjoyed it!. The town of Much Wenlock is very pretty, with pubs and coffee shops to visit. The Priory is well worth a walk round, very interesting. The site has a small office on entry which is always open, with lots of local information and books to lend. We will be staying at this site again.

We have just enjoyed a week at this campsite. We agree that the facilities are very good and probably the cleanest we have come across.
The wardens were very helpful and wore uniforms so easy to spot.
Only drawback was we were put into 'The Meadow' and the ground is quite sloping so we kept sliding about in the tent, but this would not stop us returning another time.
Shame there is no playground for children, or even an area set aside for games, but we appreciate that it is only a small site.
The site is in easy reach of Much Wenlock which has several good pubs, but the food is a bit pricey. The chinese chip shop was great with vary large portions. There is also a small supermarket which had everything we needed in it.
This site is also very convenient for Ironbridge and the museums located within.

Wow, what a nice find. Just a shame we couldn't stay longer. Booked local to the in-laws for a visit. Really wished there was something this nice near to where we live.
Very friendly upon arrival, medium to large terraced pitches that are spotless
As are the toilet /shower facilities.
Much wenlock is a lovely little town, with everything you would need
Beautiful views around the site. My only gripe would be lack of play area/ swings for younger children and a defined play area.
Discussed this with the owners and they were very open to idea's. Although they make a valid point regarding insurance leading to higher pitch fee's
Dont let this put you off as we did find a corner of the site to play football (Better than England I would say !LOL)
Definitely return to this wonderful site.
