We stayed here for one night in our caravan. The site is on a side road and then there is a track leading to the site which makes it peaceful. The site is nicely laid out with gravel paths to drive up so no getting stuck in the mud!
There is a male and female toilet block, both consisting of three toilets and three shower cubicles and three sinks. They were kept clean with soap to hand. There was also a disabled toilet but can't comment on this as didn't need to use it.
Chemical points are by the toilet block and plenty of recycling bins by the entrance. There are plenty of electric hook-up points and water points. The couple who manage the site are very friendly and helpful and live on site in a caravan.
Dogs are allowed and they have a dog walking area. Much Wenlock is a five minute walk away. Not a lot there but a nice church, a shop for essentials, a chemist, an English Heritage managed Abbey and a few pubs and cafes. We used the George and Dragon which has nice home-made food and is reasonably priced.
Overall, clean, quiet and nice views and not too far away from lots of places of interest. Ironbridge is about ten minutes drive away. Would use again and am very likely to return. A lovely site.

We visited this site recently for 3 nights. It's a lovely site and the wardens do an excellent job at keeping things clean. The bathroom units were spotless and well equipped with stools and hooks in the shower cubicles.
The pitches are well marked, and although somewhat sloping, this wasn't a major problem. The first night was incredibly quiet and it was awesome watching the sun go down behind the hill with a glass of vino on hand.
We will be visting this site again - it's location and the well-maintained site makes it worth a visit. Much Wenlock is a 5/10 mins walk away and is a really friendly and interesting place to explore.

 The not so good bits

The access into and out of the site may prove interesting if two units were to meet head on !

The water in the washing up bays wasn't brillant with temp or pressure.

The pitches are tight to get onto with a big unit

The good bits

Brilliant location

Nice wardens

Facilities for showering look very new and the although push button showers are brilliant with temp and pressure. Hand cleaner in hand sinks area. The wardens get up early to go in and clean

Much wenlock is a small walk and there is always bigger towns nearby

The views across the rolling hills are nice

Open march to October

We will definitely be going back.

The site site ticks all the boxes. Great location as only a short walk into Much Wenlock where there is further access by bus to local Towns such as Shrewsbury.

The site itself is tiered with good drainage so no muddy/soggy pitches. The grass is cut with regularity and that adds to the charm.

There is a small area at the bottom of the site where children can play or kick a ball about.

Dogs are welcome as long as proper control is applied and they can be walked in a field close by.

There is now a new shower and toilet block which is 'first class' and no rip off charges to pay.Bliss.

The staff are first class, friendly, work hard on site and nothing is to much trouble for them.

I have been there many times and it just gets better.

Small, very neat, clean friendly site and the wardens are excellent and they have gone to a lot of trouble and it shows. At £6pppn and no charge for dogs it is outstanding value.

Brand new toilet/shower block which is kept immaculately clean.

Washing up facilities were basic and with two units a wait was usually required, but this is common place just about everywhere, hot water supply was erratic.

For those of us who do not use EHU there is no freezer to refreeze ice blocks a small complaint but simple to put right.

Local town is a short walk away with multiple footpaths etc to get there, so the dog got plenty of exercise. The pubs were excellent, the George takes dogs in the bar and the Talbot takes them outside in their courtyard which is lovely. Food in both was good, though the Talbot is not cheap as the food is not traditional pub food but good value none the less.

There is plenty to see and do in the vicinity and we spent a lovely day in Shrewsbury and Much Wenlock itself is an interesting place steeped in history. The local butcher must be good as there was a permanent queue outside his shop all day Friday and we never joined it, our loss probably.

What a fantastic site, this site is extremely well maintained and spotlessly clean.

We've just visited for the first time, and found a very warm welcome.

The pitches are spacious and of high standard.

The toilets and showers were very clean at all times, a lot of work was being done to keep them that way, as the site was busy.

Children can play safely, as the site is away from the road.

You feel you are in the heart of the countryside, but the village of Much Wenlock is less than 5 minutes walk away. So you have shops and several pubs very nearby.

All in all, a great experience, we shall definitely go back.

The only down point is that you need to make sure you have your chocks as the pitches do slope a bit.

If you want a relaxing time, head for Sytche Campsite.

 Loved this site.

As soon as we arrived the managers came straight over and booked us in and showed us where to pitch.

Toilets / showers were very clean and staff were doing some landscaping work outside the facilities during our stay.

Lovely atmosphere on the site at night - there was a music festival nearby when we stayed so some festival goers were staying at the site and on their return they would be playing musical instruments which was actually really nice in the background.

Although no kids play area, our children loved playing football and frisbee on the site and there is a kids playground a short walk away (near the high school) although this is across a road so you can't let the kids go unaccompanied.

Lovely stroll down into Much Wenlock where you'll find all you need, including a lovely butchers, as well as a Spar and takeaway and a few restaurants and pubs.

Theres a little shed on site with lots of books you can borrow during your stay and also lots of leaflets about things to do in the surrounding area.

We used this site as a base to explore the Ironbridge Gorge and Museums which are about 30 mins drive away - fantastic for the kids (esp Blists Hill and Enginuity).

Tried to book into this site again recently but, alas, it was full. Will definitely be going back though, as soon as we can get in.

We chose this site because we wanted to explore this area, and it's perfectly situated for Much Wenlock, Wenlock Edge, Shrewsbury, Telford, Ironbridge, Bridgnorth etc. It was really easy to find, if you're coming into Much Wenlock from the north, turn right just after the school. It's signposted too, so no problems there.

On arrival we paid and chatted with the site managers who are very friendly and approachable. £6pppn, which is pretty good. Also, you don't mind paying it when the facilities are good, which they are. There is a new toilet block which isn't open yet, the managers told me they were waiting for plumbers to come and finish off. However, there's nothing wrong with the old ones, they're clean and functional, there seemed to be plenty of hot water and is free. The only downside is the distance from the pitches, but this will be rectified when the new block opens.

The washing up facilities are good too, basically a couple of sinks in a shed, but again lots of hot water, and clean.

The pitches are a nice size and although others have mentioned sloping, we didn't have any problems with ours.

We did, however, have problems with a nightmare group of Duke of Edinburgh kids. Their 'leaders' couldn't seem to control them so we basically had them walking right by our tent, one of them even jumping over our barbeque. The site managers were mortified when we told them and went immediately to speak to them. Nothing was too much for them to deal with and they went out of their way to help. Unfortunately, speaking to them stopped most of them from invading our privacy, but didn't stop them being mega noisy, which ruined things somewhat. The site owners were so lovely and apologetic though, that it wouldn't put me off returning, I'd just make sure when I booked that there were no groups of kids there at the time.

So, overall a lovely site, will be even better when the new toilet block is open. There's even a little hut at the bottom which contains DVDs and books for you to borrow, and leaflets for local information.

We visited The Talbot Inn for dinner. Most of the food isn't what you'd call 'pub grub' but there was a great offer on steak and a pudding and was yummy. Service was good too and they obviously take pride in their meals.

Wenlock Edge is a lovely walk, we picked up a leaflet from Much Wenlock's tourist information centre, where the guy was very helpful. We can recommend Ironbridge, which is literally minutes away and is full of pubs if none in Much Wenlock take your fancy (there are a few, and also a Spar, newsagent and a couple of bookshops) and Bridgnorth, which is lovely and very interesting, particularly if you're into history. Go on the Cliff Railway, only £1 and a great experience.

Lovely site, lovely area, will absolutely be returning.

Good location for Ironbridge etc, and walk round Much Wenlock itself, 'home' of the modern Olympics.Plenty of pubs to chose from.

Good walking country towards Long Mynd, with views towards Caer Caradoc, the Wrekin and other hills along the Church Stretton Fault line.

Slightly sloping pitch, but manageable with chocks.

Washing up area was a bit 'sheddy' but functional.

Shower doors required decent locks/ hooks at time of visit, but facilities adequate.

Wardens friendly and helpful.

A lovely grassy site in the beautiful Shropshire countryside, just on the outskirts of the pretty little market town of Much Wenlock.

This site is at the end of the Wenlock Edge limestone escarpment and is surrounded by open fields.

We stayed in a touring caravan and found that most of the pitches sloped from back to front somewhat - we needed extra wooden blocks under the front jacks on the caravan and barely wound the rear jacks away from the body of the caravan! The wardens live in a van on the site and couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful all the time we were there. They have a new toilet block that is very nice indeed and even the old toilet block isn't at all bad - all very clean and tidy.

Easy walk into Much Wenlock from the site where there are all the usual shops, fish and chips and we found a very nice Indian Restaurant that was not at all expensive.

A short drive will take you to the Ironbridge Gorge and the museums, or the other direction out along Wenlock Edge then onto Church Stretton and the Long Mynd. A perfect location and we will visit this site again.
