 Wet w/end July 2004
A v. good site, centrally situated for Ashbourne, Buxton & Matlock.
Given how wet and muddy the ground got the toilet block was clean enough. Fantastic shower, possibly the hottest camping shower ever, although slightly variable on Sunday morning.
Playgrounds only consist of a few swings and climbing frames.
Tents should avoid the slope and head for the flatish field at the bottom, although avoid the very lowest parts and the area around the electrics. Both got very wet and muddy.

A nice site, I would definately stay on the bottom field, closer to the playground for the kids. toilets ok'ish, site can be a bit muddy in wet weather, but all in all a nice site. Owners are very friendly and accomodating. Stayed several times, never had a problem. :)

Fortunately we were given a choice of pitch and we certainly recommend the bottom fields for tents. The field higher up the park had an incredible slope to it, but our pitch was perfectly level. Staff are all very friendly and accommodating. Was very impressed with the charity box for freezer pack service (10p per pack). Toilet/shower blocks were quite adequate and easy to get to. Would definitely stay here again!

Lovely site.
Ideally situated for the High Peak & Tissington Trails.
Nice clean toilets & showers.
Friendly & helpful site staff.
Shop stocks the essentials.
Will definitely stay there again.
