 Our first site visited and very nice, handy for Liverpool and South Lancs has excellent facilities shop,library, hookups, and showers.
well run rural site along side ruined Abbey. recommended.

Good clean site. Includes tent field, touring caravan field and statics field. There is a play field which is approximately the size of 2 football fields containing some swings and slides. There are good toilet, shower, washing facilities and there is a table tennis room and library. There is also a fishing pond. Set in the countryside it is however close to the towns of Burscough and Ormskirk. Southport is 7 miles away. I paid &7 for one night (myself and son in small tent).

A flat site separated by hedges into about 4/5 areas, grassy pitches most with hook-up. Well looked after by the owners, facilities very clean, family bathroom with real bath. The site has a very small shop and laundry facilities. Its a good 30 minutes walk from Ormskirk which boasts a large Saturday street market. There is also a good circular walk from the campsite. over the railway crossing , turn towards Burscough on the A59 and take a footpath out to the Leeds Liverpool canal on the left and then back along the canal in the direction of Parbold then back along the road to the campsite. A good Suday mornings walk.
