sept/21/02 Great site, agree with previous comments just a few notes. The top fields/pitches can be windy, the shop wasn't open beyond 5/5.30pm but the staff were happy to go in and fetch milk! Not much else in the way of food except for b'fasts. (Dartmouth is only 5mins away & has a village/town sized Plymco & Somerfield) We did overhear a refusal to issue a refund when the party number had been reduced with the offer of a credit note- suppose ok if you visit more then once a year! The main problem occurred on Sunday am. The site charges £10.00 xtra when you pay/book then you can either use the park for the rest of the day(but not stay pitched?) or claim back the £10 as you leave- The problem? All campers have to be OFF the pitch by 11am those staying have to exit the site and park in the main carpark as do those who want a refund! From approx 10 am we watched queues forming eventually got to the gate ourselves and then had to q to obtain refund from staff member who was clock-watching and serving day visitors whilst also issuing £10 to each yellow tag holder! Surely there has to be an easier way? Just glad it wasn't the school hols!! Would go back cos the kids loved it and we got fit walking up & down the park. A small tip don't pay the 10p for a cup of water ask for a jug they were issued free!( indoor area) Isn't it illegal to sell tap water when it's provided by the local council?

August 2002 A good campsite, lots of space and plenty for the kids to do. The only sad note is the bar stewards who borrowed/stole our ice blocks from the camp freezer and left their unfrozen ones. We will return but with our new Gaz operated fridge box.

May 2002 Excellent site. Plenty for the children to do. Very safe. Good food. Excellent level pitches -not too close together. Immaculate washroom facilities.Looking forward to returning in the summer.
