Bank Hol w/e May 04 Got a great deal £17 for 2 nights camping in our tent. The one disappontment was our boys (13 and 11) weren't allowed to sleep in a pup tent, but we think this may be due to either others not behaving in the past or that the tent area is near the edge of a cliff. The staff were very helpful, lent us 5 blankets for a deposit of £10 as it was freezing at night! The tent area is on a hill and we were advised that if it rains the bottom of the hill gets boggy so we didn't put the tents there. The entertaiment was good and facitlites ok, hot water ran out too quickly at the pot washing sinks though. We would visit again for another weekend as we were happy with the site as a whole.

May 2004 After reading previous reviews I was in two minds as to visit this site, but thought we would give it a go as we got a really good deal off the internet for the Bank Holiday weekend, and as we couldn't find anything else at 5 days notice it was this or nothing. On arriving we drove straight past the main reception, following the signs to the touring pitches, expecting there to be a separate reception/warden. There isn't, so my husband parked up and walked back to the main reception to be told where our pitch was. When he came back and found the pitch number, he wasn't impressed as we were on quite a steep downward slope with two vans in front of us. As we have quite a big van he was concerned that we wouldn't be able to back off the pitch again when it was time to leave. Needless to say I thought we had made a mistake. But no, on going back to reception they were more than helpful. We got there early and my husband told the receptionist which vacant pitches would be more suitable for us and they changed us without question. So my advice would be get there early in case you have a problem with your pitch. Although you don't have much room around each pitch, once sited things just got better. The view is fantastic, the facilities weren't too bad, sometimes dirty, but other campers were more to blame than lack of cleaners. Really enjoyed it here and would definately return again.

29/08/03 Depends on what you want as to how this site should be rated. Went with friends didnt use the facilities (club etc) but have done before and found them ok if you like that sort of thing.
Touring side was pretty quiet but I considered it expensive. As it was a bank holiday on the previous monday cost £28 for the first night but dropped to £8 on the next night.
Ok if you have kids. Showers etc were ok

23-25th August 2003 Can I say my family and I really enjoyed our stay at Reighton Sands, the shower blocks were a bit dirty but I have been in worse. I think with the amount of people using them it is understandable that they are going to get like they do.... The entertainment was excellent and the kids entertainment was also good. We enjoyed our stay very much..

May 2003 Like most Haven sites it has its entertainment centre and masses of statics. As it was bank holiday it also attracted a certain type of crowd. The scenery is stunning but it is overpriced at £20+ per night for me and my two sons. Toilets and washrooms somewhat basic and not the cleanest.I wouldn't go again to be honest.

25-27/05/03 After reading the Primrose valley reviews it was with some trepidation that we visited it's sister site along the road to camp. We were pleasantly suprised. It cost £75 for 2 adults and 5 kids for the three nights, which I assume was pimarily the cost of entertainment passes. The pitches are at the furthest end of the site but its not to far to walk, even in the rain. The tent site is undulating with later arrivals getting the steeper inclines, but again they're not too bad. Entertainment was good but the usual beer prices for Haven prevailed. £2.50 Carling, £1 fruit Shooters for kids. Our kids didn't get bored over the four days but the little extras like slushes and sweets did add up. Take away food is pricey, as expected and the shop prices were steep. The Sunday lunch disappointed me as the lady in front asked for some beef to be taken off her childs portion,(2.95) as there was to much on then I got half the amount on an adult portion, (4.95). The only other difference in the portions was the size of the .........plate. All in all though we had a good time and will be returning.
PS. have to mention that there was some bother on the first night when a couple had a violent fight, but they left the next morning and all was quiet the following 2 nights where we were.
