We stayed here from the 17th to the 22nd of april and found the site really to our liking, we were in a static but looked around the touring pitches and thought they looked very good.

The toilet block was clean tidy and well maintained.

We only chose this site for its proximity to the beach for our dogs, very good cliff top and beach walks for our four legged friends and the staff are very accommodating of them too, we are going back next year

We have stayed at this site many times before. It is a family favorite. This time it was a 1 night stay with our 2 children (3 and almost 1). The entertainment was great. The wrestling was on! The staff were friendly and the toilets/ showers were clean.

We were even helped out with some gaffa tape when we accidentally wrapped a hole in the tent!

We will be going back.

Had a very enjoyable holiday with my 2yr old grandaughter. The facilities in the Amusment Arcade kept her amused for the time we spent there as did the shows that were put on each evening in the Showbar.

The staff members that we met were all friendly. The only criticism I have is there isn't really enough on offer for for children off Teenage Years which Is a pity really as on a whole Reighton Sands Camp and Caravan Site Is set In the most lovely surroundings.

This is a large commercial site with excellent facilities for families. These included a very good indoor and outdoor pool, playparks and other children's facilities.

However, I feel the touring and camping facilities are quite poor. The toilet block is very dirty, shabby and outdated. There was an overpowering stench of urine in the toilet facilities throughout my stay.

The showers, however were warm and functional. Furthermore, the pitches were in need of some TLC - they were quite untidy with a lot of litter and cigarette butts lying around. There were also a lot of dogs running around not on leads, which was quite worrying as a parent of little children.

All in all, the site has some good facilities. But, the touring and camping facilities are neglected - so please be prepared for this.

Overall this is a reasonable campsite. It is part of a large franchise of Haven camps that tailor for all types of holidays. The facilities were kept clean and to a decent standard. However, we felt there were some serious issues the camp should look at to improve experiences there.

By far the most disturbing problem for us was that the camp accepted too many people to its site. There were queues everywhere for all things (even the swimming pool). It became so bad we stopped using the main site facilities. A further issue was the amount of people in the bars and restaurants in the evenings. It felt dangerous at times due to the large amounts of people.

The only other thing we struggled with was the ground where we located our tent. The soil seems pretty hard and we had a devil of a time trying to remove pegs afterwards. The area was not kept to a basic standard of hygiene and we had to clean the ground before pitching the homestead.

Basically, if the site was a little less busy this could be a nice holiday destination. We will not go there again for a while though.

We stayed at this site last week which was the run up to Easter. Unfortunately the weather was v bad and

Our awning was trashed in the winds. The touring warden Steve couldn't have been more helpful. He found old poles to help prop up our tent and kept an eye on our awning we had a trip off site. The site was clean and tidy. The showers were great, clean, hot and under floor heating.

Out children enjoyed the kids clubs and also enjoyed archery. The pool was fine and changing rooms clean. We are in the mash and barrel a few times and there was a reasonable choice for vegetarians.

Down points- there wasn't a bin by the soft play so there were lots of sweet wrappers and there were plug sockets at the side of the play area at child height that should have had safety covers. Easy things to fix.

Stopped here for week booking easy told to park any were you wanted. Pitches are a bit sloppy (so bring plenty of ramps or wood ). Wardens nice and friendly all ways cleaning and cutting grass and tidying site. Showers nice and warm the showers have under ground heating. Only negative bit pricey for a pint but is it me being a scrooge £3. 50 how way. On the other foot won to bottles of plonk. Would come back. Pitched on number 4 lovely views and a bit of shade from the wind.

Absolutely hated this site. Tent area was littered with beer bottle tops and cigarette buts. Although you can't park your car next to your tent unless you can get a spot at the edge of the field, it isn't too far away. You can pitch anywhere as they are unmarked pitches. Sadly what let's this place down the most is the inconsiderate people who allow their kids to swear, drop litter where ever they want, keep turning the drinking water tap on and leaving it to run down the slope onto other tents. Showers where ok but sinks where dirty with hair and muck!

I'm a pretty tolerant person most of the time but I don't really want to explain to my 7 yr old why other parents where calling their own kids little s**ts.

It's a shame really!

Visited Reighton Sands on the week running up to Easter, a couple of weeks before we received a letter telling us that as we were using a touring caravan to choose a pitch and set up first before going to reception to check in, as the site would be busy and parking would be difficult.

There are two areas for tourers, and after reading previous reviews we were unsure of which one to go for. We headed for area 1, which was sloping slightly but nowhere near as bad as what we were expecting.

The toilet and shower blocks were clean and tidy, the only problem was most of the floor in the shower cubicles got wet so make sure your clothes are hung on the pegs.

The site isn't the best Haven site as to activities, but We think this was reflected in the price, the pool was ok, all of the staff that we met were friendly and helpful, the entertainment was quite good although the Showbar tables and chairs could have been set out a bit better, you seemed to get boxed in at times, drinks were quite expensive as they usually are at these places.

There is a Spar shop on site with items at a reasonable prices, a few children's play areas which were all well maintained. There is a very steep sloping access ramp to the beach and a land train to take you up and down if you wish.

The location of the site we cannot fault, great views of Filey Bay, close to Filey, Bridlington and Scarborough, with a bus running into the site which went to all three resorts.

Would we visit Reighton Sands again? Yes, we all enjoyed it and it's in a great location.

We arrived at this site for our main holiday of the year on Saturday 7th sept, one weeks camping for myself, my fiancee and our 22 month old daughter. We chose the site as it was a Haven site near to where the inlaws live so we could stay at theirs on the way home for one night.

We entered the tent field to find an enclosed area in the middle with a flat part at the bottom and a slope that you could enjoy sledgeing down in the winter never mind camp on it! Any way we pitched our tent which took some doing due to little one racing round (but we are used to that). Overlooking our pitching efforts we had an audience of of one male in a car who sat and watched me struggle with the tent whilst my partner chased after little one, now I know I didn't expect help from anyone but. Would you sit and watch someone struggle? no me either. Anyway I was a little peeved at that to start with but we ploughed on, all set up and chilled out with a well deserved beer.

We stayed at the tent that night so we could settle in proper. Went for a drive out the next day and day after to Filey and Scarbourgh and what a lovely place they were.

Tuesday the winds were very high during the day and the tent was taking a battering due to the 'tent field' being on the cliff top. Anyway the winds were so high the tent was lifting etc so we decided for safety for our daughter to get a static for one night as we had seen the weather for days after. So off we went to reception to explain our predicament. This was sorted but. We still had to pay the full £50 for one night. Shocking price really for an emergency shelter. Anyway that was where it got worse. I checked our tent was secure at 930pm with gale force winds hitting it hard still, battened down everything I could, table chairs and kitchen etc inside the tent to keep the weight on it all and set off to bed. I returned in the morning and the tent had stood up very well, a few poles out of the ground but all in all was ok. I tidied up and we moved back in that morning. Went out for the day and returned for tea. To find some low life had been in our tent during the storm and stolen my cooker, and my water carrier. So now we had no cooking facility to cook our tea or little ones, or water to heat for her last bottle for bed!. We reported this to security as reception had closed at 5pm. Nothing they could do. Not even an offer of vouchers for a meal or even sandwiches from the site shop. Eventually the security manager lent us a kettle, and gave some vouchers for electric - we had to boil kettle in the toilet block holding the kettle while it boiled. Very grateful though and that's probably all he could do at that time.

However. Reception the next day when we went to report it were, unsympathetic, unhelpful and to be honest down right rude, I over heard the 'manager' say to the girl dealing with us that we had to prove it was stolen! durrr. Its not there and it was. Ergo. Its been stolen! Anyway we sat it out that night very uncomfortable that someone had been in our tent in the first place but also very very angry that haven staff at this site did nothing to help. We will not be returning to this site at all and would recommend if you are a tenter that you don't go there. If you stay in a caravan or static on site then you will be treated very differently this I saw when we arrived. And that is nothing against caravans or statics in anyway. Just the staff.

Thats the bad bits.

The good bits. The toddler club staff were excellent our little one enjoyed ever minute and the two girls that held it were superb this I cannot fault.

The pool although a reasonable size was not heated as stated it was cold due to all the doors being kept open in high winds.

All in all a very disappointing trip. We left two days early due to not wanting to leave our tent unaccompanied and the security manager was the only one to offer us vouchers for the days we missed or another free stay at the site for a week. We still will not be back.
