First visit to this site June 2005.
Facilities of a high standard but minimal, could be queues during high season. Pitches are of a good size, on flat mown grass, chocks not needed.
Access to canal path [tarmac] at top end of site, turn left for the closest pub, 15 min walk ie "The Cheshire Cat", good food, not expensive, two more pubs further along towpath.
Site entrance is off a busy main road and badly signed, care is needed.
A park and ride for Chester is under a mile away [£1.30 p/p].
Nearest supermarket 1.5 miles towards Chester.
Chester Zoo is approx 4 miles away.
Port Sunlight Village 15/20 miles must not be missed.
Site fees:- £15 high season £13 Low season inc electric.[2005]
Will definitely return to this site.

We have enjoyed this site, quiet and frendly with good fishing on canal, but I must warn males on coming out of the toilets, don't forget to duck, it took me a few bangs on the head to remember that the roof suport is below 6ft.
The owner has always been helpful and the dog although large (Great Dane)is soft.

just been to see the site before i decided to book, very lucky i did, NO CHILDREN ALLOWED, doesnt say that in any reviews or books that have the site advertised, so if you are childless i would say it is a very quiet site indeed.

Small, quite site, bordered by Shropshire Union Canal. Two and a half miles from centre of Chester.
