This site it perfectly convenient next to the canal which was great for my dogs, the toilets and shower was immaculate.
Location to Chester it great bonus and the local pubs where we had tea at night!

Nice site. Adjacent to canal for bike rides or walks.
Walk into Chester about hours walk, very pretty along the way.
Facilities OK. Wardens were helpful.
Cheshire cat was pleasant.

Lovely site ! arrived a bit sceptical because of some reviews but will return there again.
Gate on site onto canal footpath, we walked into Chester and back. Map given on arrival with distances to nearby shops, pubs, buses. Warden very friendly and helpful ( how to get discount at nearby pub !)
Little bit of a job to turn in and busy road to join to leave but no great problem !
Toilets kept very clean.

Lovely spacious site.
The toilets were kept immaculate. Only 1 shower for male and 1 for female but did not find it was a problem.
Washing up sink available but lighting was a bit poor at dusk made it difficult to see if everything was clean.
Given an info leaflet on arrival which advised of where shops were and where to catch bus into Chester as well as directions to several pubs
It is possible to walk into Chester along the canal but we found it too far to walk in and back so resorted to using a bus into Chester and walking back.
Warden on site very helpful and friendly.

Lovely location but expensive for poor facilities.
We were greeted by friendly, helpful wardens.
Facilities were clean but needed updating,
Site needed a good tidy and only one water tap at entrance to site.

Very friendly and helpful wardens. Site is in a beautiful location and very well kept.
Great walk along the canal. Lovely pub/restaurants in walking distance.
Easy motorway access. Not far from Chester either by car bus or on foot or bike.
Close to Cheshire oaks and Chester zoo etc.
We enjoyed our time and met some lovely people.

The Netherwoood touring site is in a beautiful location by the canal side. It is clean and well maintained with a warden on site. The facilities are clean and accessible.
The site is a short drive to the centre or if you have a campervan you can walk to centre but this is an hour walk, alternatively you can get a bus from christleton village 7 Minute walk to the centre or a taxi for about £8.
There are a few pubs you can eat at close by but not many takeaways deliver there.
Walking area and surroundings are lovely and peaceful.
We had a lovely time. A sign could be put up on the main road to direct you to the site as we drove past it.
Thank you for a nice weekend.

Our only gripe was that there was no signage to indicate the site's location; neither on the road or on arrival at the entrance.
Appreciate we were sent local 'directions', but as we had a road closure on the way and had to make a significant detour, a sign providing the campsites name would have been helpful on arrival.
Appreciate the site is small so can't accommodate passing trade (as I was told by the owner was the reason for no signage) but this is putting those paying customers who have actually found you online, booked and paid for a stay, at a disadvantage (a 'no vacancies' sign may be a way of getting round this). Due to this frustration we were rather annoyed on arrival, so probably did not make the best first impression.
Other than that, once set up we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The wardens were very friendly and helpful.
The toilet/shower facilities, whilst small, were acceptable (one shower and two toilets for the women and I was told the same by my partner for the men. )
The canal towpath walk was lovely in to Chester and there are plenty of local shops /pubs within walking distance.

Superb little. Campsite.
Warden friendly and helpful. Gave us a warm welcome and always on hand with directions and advice on the local area.
Facilities are basic, 2 toilets and 1 shower but are spotlessly clean.
We will definitely be returning.
