Agree with most comments - this is an excellent site. Great location, especially being close to two pubs which were both great! (They were extensively tested as the weather was wet and windy.) The walks along the river in either direction from the site are fantastic, one leading to Burnsall the other towards Bolton Abbey.

There is no park for children however playing by the river and exploring the dry stone walls was far more entertaining for them.

The facilities were good and clean, although basic, plenty of hot water though which was good. Only drawback was nothing to dry your hands on after you washed them.

Wouldn't hesitate to go back again, just hope next time we have better weather to fully appreciate this fab location.

Well the new owners seem to have stood by the standards indicated in previous reviews.

This is a fantastic site if you want a camp site as they used to be. Its basically just a field in a wonderful tranquil location. Facilities are attached to the adjacent farmhouse and are basic but clean and more than adequate. Showers were hot and free (although the area isnt heated). Thats it really no frills, no fuss. A campsite for campers and people who love the outdoors, ( and although I am now a motorhome softy it was great to see tents).

I went midweek and it was pretty quiet but I suspect it gets busy at weekends which might stretch the facilities.

The young couple who now run it were friendly and really helpful.

Two pubs within 5 minutes walk. The Craven is has a good beer selection (five real ales) and serves the biggest meals I have ever seen. The New inn is a bit less touristy but again had a good real ale selection and good sensibly priced food.

I used this site as a midweek walking base, its on the Dales way and is perfect for walkers. I wish the new owners well and will be back very soon.

This Farm was sold September 2007 but the new owners are keeping it open as a campsite. I know this because I've booked in for a weekend in April. The new owner was a very friendly woman who was very helpful. Looking forward to another great stay at this site. Hope it's still matches the old high standards

Situated in a beautiful part of the dales right next to the river. The camp sites facilities consist of washing up area, toilets and showers all very basic but clean enough to use. (remember we are camping after all)

This is our third visit and will definitely return.

Our third visit. Came back from this gem of a site last week.
Despite a couple of rainy days we have had a great time (2 adults and 3 kids). The location is perfect for a quiet family holiday.
We had a pitch just by the field that is ideal for ball games with the kids. I would highly recommend a walk approx 1 mile to Burnsall for the best cuppa ever and a real doorstop chip butty in the tea rooms there!
It is a great base for walking and visiting the surrounding areas but you will be amazed how much time you can fill playing by the river fossil hunting and using your fishing net. The shop in Burnsall (next to the tea rooms) sells everything (local produce and fresh bread or a dingy for the river!) you could imagine and all at a reasonable price with a very friendly owner.
If you love wild life you will love it. There are rabbits, bats, red dear, we even saw a wood pecker and a heron.
Basic showers but hot and free clean loo's and great washing up facilities are here. I love this place and hope to return soon. But it is up for sale so new owners may try to change it next year. Please please please don't!. Its a little piece of heaven!

Very nice site, showers and toilets very basic but ok. Dry site, good location near to pubs, good nearby walks, useful location. Lots of kids on site good for them but would be dependent on when you were booking get very busy but on the whole good site will visit again.

A nice and friendly, level campsite. Superb views and a pub within 2 Min's walk. We arrived using Sat Nav which I would not recommend as it took us on some roads which were not suitable for a 5.5 tonne motorhome but we arrived unscathed. The staff are very helpful and the pitches are spacious. My only complaint was that the water was too far from the pitches, which is not a problem for caravans but is for motorhomes. We will definitely go back again.

Masons was recommended to us by a friend and it was well worth a visit. The site is fairly level and has electric hook ups. Facility's are basic but clean, hot water for washing up and showers is free, no hand soap is provided in the toilet blocks so i would recommend taking your own. site owner is very nice and help full tried her hardest to find us a spot when we arrived unannounced. pitches are of ample size and most are quite well drained we had a lot of rain and the ground stayed nice and firm. the river that runs past the site is wide and deep but is a great place for the kids to play {supervised} .It is essential to take supplies as it is a 2 mile walk to nearest shop and the shop only carries the basics, the village where the shop is located has a coffee shop and a nice pub. the 2 nearest pubs to the site are about 3 Min's up the road both are nice clean pubs and both serve food but drinks are pricey. not much for the kids other than the river but there are some great walks and fantastic surroundings. a nice site and priced fairly would definitely recommend a visit and will be returning myself.

I've stayed on this campsite many times over the years its a small family run site and the owners are always very helpful. There are only a few showers which are basic but free and clean also separate toilets which in the ladies you can plug your hairdryer in for free! The views on this campsite are stunning with the river wharf running at the bottom of a level site. There are two pubs within 5 minutes walk but they do close in an afternoon however just down the road in burnsall is another pub which is pricey however the walk from burnsall to hebden is beautiful and yes you've guessed it there is another pub there! I would highly recommend this site to anyone and have done if you want to do a big shop you will have to drive into skipton which is a lovely market town or just a few miles away in grassington you will find a spar shop and 3 pubs the bull does fantastic food. I am hopeing to return to this campsite soon
