Excellent site, the toilet block is basic but clean, the showers the same, but plenty of hot water. All pitches are flat and surrounded by great scenery and walking country. Electric hook ups are available . Two pubs within easy walking distance, the nearest one offering great food and about seven different brews. May I suggest to anyone who has not savoured the delights of Theakston`s Old Peculier, to carry on a further 100 yards down the road and treat yourself to a pint or two. A great riverside walk down to Bolton Abbey is just the thing for working up an appetite and a thirst. At £10 a night for camping, very well priced.

Did a one night stop at this site on a cold May night! Site is great but basic in way of toilet amenities, however, they were clean. Owners very friendly and do not charge extra for large tents. River at end of site was lovely as we were entertained by two families of ducklings. Tariff - adults £5 a night Children £2.50 Would definitely visit again for a short break.

This was our first time camping and we chose well with this site. All pitches are flat, the shower block and toilets are clean and it cost just £10 per night. The staff were helpful, and pleasant and the views are fantastic, with some great walking country around here. If you fancy a drink , there are two pubs within five minutes walk, both serving food. Would definitely go there again.

We came here to try out our new tent, I had never tried camping but my husband is well seasoned. The campsite turned out to be very good. The toilets and showers were clean with plenty of hot water. Everybody was really friendly. I would highly recommend this site. There are two pubs within five mins walking both serving excellant food.

We have just arrived home from a great weekend at this fantastic campsite. I have been to this site 3 times now over the past 5 years and eveytime I arrive home thinking that I wish I went there more often. I can't put my finger on what exactly it is I liked so much about this place but it had a great feeling about it. It might be the great location and the warm welcome. The owner will never over fill her site like a lot of places and she will turn away trade to keep her campers happy. so book early and prepare to relax. I can't recomend it enough were planning our trip of two there next year

Just returned from excellent 2 night stay at this site. Field in superb position leading down to the river with easy walks to Burnsall or Barden Bridge. Walked with children to Burnsall where there's a huge pebble beach and shallow river for them to swim. Facilities on site were clean and well-maintained, constant hot water for washing up and showers. Quite a vibrant site with lots of young people and children. Two pubs a couple of minutes' walk up the road, evening meal v expensive at one of them though! Thoroughly enjoyable stay, thank you!

Fantastic . Just got back from this site and enjoyed every minute - Clean well maintained site & facilities. the owners were great, friendly and organised. Great Ice pack freezing & hiring service. Loads for everyone to do , the river warfe runs at the bottom of the site and the shop in Burnsell sells dingys(& inflates them if you wish) why not buy one and float down the river like we did. Going back next week!

June 2005 Stayed here over the weekend (Fri - Mon) and this is up there with the best I've stayed in. The site itself is on flat gound with plenty of room (but does get crowded when at peak times). The views are fantastic with Simons Seat overlooking the site from the right and views down the vally to Burnsall
Mrs Mason is great very helpful, the showers and toilets are very clean and the washroom has 4 large sinks.
As for things to do there is plenty of walks for the advanced and novice alike. We had our 3 children with us and whilst there not quite up to walking up towards Simons seat, there are lovely river walks to Burnsall and The Strid.
Pricing is good with adults paying £6, children £2, electric hook up £2 (if you have it).I would highly recommend this site
