The location of this site is fabulous.Situated approx 4miles outside Caernarfon and on the edge of snowdonia the scenery is outstanding. The site is down a windy country road just outside of Betws Garmon.We had a lovely holiday but would try a different site next time. Very Large Clean Site with friendly staff.We found the tents were packed too close together and although there are play areas for children ther wasnot really space for sitting comfortably outside your tent as you were then blocking access for other campers to their tents. Showers were very clean but water tended to shut off in the middle of your shower if it was a busy time,same problem with sinks in bathroom areas and washing up areas.There is no sink available for you to wash your hands in the ladies loo if The wash cubicles were full and only one hairdryer point.

Situated on a narrow winding road about half-way between Beddgelert and Caernarfon, Bryn Gloch is a spacious site catering for both tents and caravans.
With Mynydd Mawr to the South, Moel Eilio to the East, and Snowdon close by, this area has spectacular scenery but also its own microclimate. The weather can change very quickly here but the site offers good shelter and the ground is well drained.
Laundry and shop facilities are good but I was a bit disappointed with the showers and dishwashing facilities in the tent area. I felt that the showers could have been kept cleaner and in better repair, and the dishwashing area was limited to one small kitchen.
Overall, the spectacular location outweighed my minor quibbles. I would rate this site as fair for campers, better for caravan owners. Given the large number of campsites in Snowdonia I would probably choose to look at other sites next time rather than to revisit this one.
