Just got home from a 2 week stay on this site. This is the largest site we've ever stayed on, but we were very impressed with it. The site is very well maintained, spotlessly clean. Pitches are a good size. We had a hard standing pitch on the 8 acres field just across from the play area. Superb safe play area for the kids, meant we could relax, the kids could play and everyone was happy.Lovely big shower block always very clean and a good hot shower. Had a wander round the caravan sales and very tempted by what we saw! Dog walking facilities were excellent too and had a lovely cooked breakfast at the on site diner and many a bag of chips of an evening from the take away. Lovely sandy beach, but the tide always seemed to be out and so it was thick mud after the sand with warnings about the dangers of low tide and sinking mud. Shame cos the kids wanted to go in the water. But obviously this is nothing to do with the site.Would definitely recommend this site to anyone visiting Somerset as very well located for all the local attractions. Thanks for a great holiday!

This is a lovely site, staff are very friendly, shower blocks, toilets are spotlessly clean, well sized pitches cant praise this site enough. There are good play areas for the children, our kids loved it and had had fab time wanting to go as soon as they woke. They have a lovely peaceful lake for fishing which my husband and the other men in our party used (hubby said it was cold tho when he lost his rod and had to take a dip!) The take away and diner on the site was good with ample portions and again very clean. Staff lovely and always friendly despite the long hours they seemed to work. They also have a well stocked mini market on site which was reasonably priced not like some.
The Seagull club had very good entertainment and its just a short walk from site. The beach is just across the road through a short walkway.
All in all we had a fab week at Northam Farm despite the great british weather and will be returning again.

The staff were very friendly, polite and helpful at all times. The toilet and shower facilities were plentiful and mostly clean, although you do have to pay 50p for a shower & £1 for a bath! The shop was fairly well stocked (not for veggies though) and well priced and there are plenty of play areas. However, this was not a site for us. We had children who were just left to wander around (whilst their parents sat in their caravans) staring in our tent because we were playing with our kids. Most kids were at the play areas by themselves and were punching or spitting at other kids. Almost everyone leaves the campsite early evening for the local entertainment (which was good the one time we went but very crowded)and they all return from 11pm through till 2am with no respect for others at all, shouting, screaming and swearing with their poor tired kids screaming too. This is what you get when you pack so many people into one place, lovely site, shame about the people!

Just come back from a sunny week (not) in Somerset. The only saving grace from the weather was the site.Very clean we stayed on no dog pitch one and the toilet/shower facilities were excellent 50p for a shower but loads of time and were hot!. Pitches were a good size and gave the kids room to run around, local camp shop was well stocked and as cheap as surrounding shops. There was a diner on site and takeaway which was a welcome break from the rain. Brean sands was a bit more run down than we thought but that could be the rain every day.Could not fault the campsite though would definitely return.Location good too.

Have just finished a two week holiday at this site and it was really great. Toilet/shower facilities excellent (although please remember 50p for showers). The site is well maintained and the wardens ensure the site is well run and that any problems are dealt with quickly and efficiently.
There are several play areas for children with a small play park and a larger area with football posts and more adventurous play equipment. For eating there is a restaurant/take-away on site however we only used the take-away side which again was really good. Please also note an ice-cream van goes round the site usually after tea-time and the ice-cream is really good and not expensive they'll even put it in your own bowls.
We used this site for touring and not for entertainment but if you want entertainment it is about a 10 minute walk away which we didn't mind as we came to see the area. This site was ideal for exploring the surrounding area which again we did. There is the beach just across the road from the site and horse-riding on the beach which my kids loved and would have done more however we ran out of time but we found it really good value for money and the people who run this really friendly and helpful.
We also explored Burnham-on-sea, Weston-Super-Mare(did the seaquarium here which is really good but pray you don't need to use the toilets), Wookey Hole(this is great for kids, but quite expensive especially if you visit in July when the Bear House and Circus aren't available and when you've been to the caves at Cheddar you feel like you were rushed round the caves), Minehead, Animal Park(we went here twice because the kids and dad(the even bigger kid) loved it so much. Cheddar (this is excellent we split our visit here over 2 days and found this to be real value for money as we did the bus, museum and goughs cave one day and the rest on another), the staff here are excellent as well and really take an interest in you. Bristol, Taunton, Watchett and Bath. As you can see there is loads to see and do in the surrounding area. So if you want to visit this area with a family I cannot recommend both the campsite and area highly enough.

This is a lovely site, staff are very friendly, shower blocks are spotlessly clean, well sized pitches cant praise this site enough. There are good play areas for the children, and very good dog walks. They have a lovely peaceful lake for fishing although we didn't fish, but we will when we go back. The take away and diner on the site was good with ample portions and again very clean. They also have a well stocked mini market on site.
We are going back in September and cant wait. The Seagull club had very good entertainment although a bit noisy up until about 9.00 pm with children running around but they got to have their fun, its just a short walk from site. The beach is just across the road through a short walkway or you can go further up the road and park your car on the beach for £2.50 all day.
A good round site for both couples and families.

First time staying at this site, reception friendly and helpful, shown quickly to our pitch, we chose the waterside premier pitch lovely location by lakes lot`s of geese/ducks etc which unfortunately covers the pitches in mess.
Toilets very clean, showers 50 pence but nice and hot. Takeaway on site food okay price no different to anywhere else in Brean. Footpath to beach over the road.
Seagull pub owned by site 5 minute walk down the road, large modern place with nightly entertainment. Serves traditional pub food which was nice.
A very large site but kept nice, good if you like fishing, would stay again, very handy if you want to break your journey being close to M5.

A great site if you have a dog because it has a huge field to let the dogs run around in as well as a long, wide dog walk about 1000yds plus to walk your dog off the lead (as long as they behave). We have stayed hear a few times and like it best off season(less kids) and find it reasonably priced with really good clean toilets and showers. My one and only complaint is that later in the year the toilet and shower blocks are not heated and they get really cold.

FANTASTIC SITE.
We have always stayed at smaller campsites but due to our last minute booking this was all we could find but we were not dissappointed. It was almost full but this just added to the great atmosphere.
At night, in the entrance to the campsite there was a caravan with a security guard which was reassuring, not that we encountered any trouble at all.
We stayed on No dog field no 3 and had plenty of room to pitch our tent (4x2 metres), park the car on the pitch and still had rooom to sit out too.
Facilities were the best we have ever seen, very clean and no queuing whatever time of day you went. The 50p for the showers was money well spent, hot water and well designed with a separate area for drying/dressing, and you can even sing along to the radio that is playing in the facility block!
The only down side was the Seagull. We went there on 2 nights at about 10-10.30 to see the cabaret but it was not big enough which meant that there were adults standing in all available spaces, including doorways. Unfortunately we did not venture anywhere else but will be coming back to see more of Brean and what is has to offer.

A very enjoyable week at Northam Farm. Arrived on a Saturday and found the no-dog field easily, and got a large corner pitch (club - grass with electric).
Plenty of water taps dotted around, and all facilities were clean and in good condition. 50p for a 6 minute shower not too bad, and always empty.
The Seagull only had kids ents on the Saturday eve, but it was not high season. Beer & food reasonably priced for the area. Quality of food varied during the week.
No facility for freezing own ice-packs, but they do hire out their own for £2 deposit ea, then 20p per exchange.
Local area includes Brean leisure park (expensive), Brean beach (clean but some distance to sea), and some local shops. Highly recommend Brean Bakery.
Only downer we had was the Friday night when all the weekenders turned up, and we had to listen to 15 different types of music until 11pm, and then from 7am on the Saturday morning.
We'd happily stay again, but we feel we've done everything in the area now.
