Only good thing about this site is the location, the grass is long, the hard standing is uneven the toilets and showers are disgusting as are the washing up facilities, whole place is tatty
Could be so nice with a bit of effort. £20 per night for caravan with hook up.

Great location. Ideal for walking/hiking. WinHill an uphill task from the site, but once there well worth the hike. Basic but clean facilities. Plenty of free hot showers. Just what you need after being out walking all day. Nice pub at the end of the lane. Recommend this site. Basic, clean, tidy, nice.

Just returned from a 2 night stay at this site, the campsite is ideally situated for walking the peaks which was the main reason for me staying. The campsite area is great because its flat and the grass is soft and reasonably kept, the toilets are however a major let down for the site as are the showers these both need modernisation. They were very dirty and not enough of them either, the on site cafe however more than makes up for the basic unclean facilities. You also get the added bonus of the train-line which continues through the night so be prepared for trains thundering past all night, also I found the campsite to be very noisy, with people chatting loudly each night until 3am at the earliest again be aware its not a quiet peaceful site.

Very cheap site, friendly owners, showers are excellent but toilets a little dated, only down side I found was a lot of dog fouling around pitches, pitches are of good size and owner very accommodating with any requests, grass is level and good access to local shops and fantastic walking in area, nice cafe onsite at very reasonable rates, stayed at another local site in July at double the price but not as good as hardhurst farm, will stay again

Site was wonderfully situated very clean facilities wasn't overcrowded will definitely be returning. Suits all kinds of campers. We were s group spread over 4 tents plenty of room to pitch up together, site had a very relaxed atmosphere on the evening. Didn't use the on site cafe other than for a cuppa on last morning but the breakfasts looked good

A large group of us stayed here, the campsite owner was very friendly and laid back. The showers were excellent and despite being very busy, I never had to queue for them and the water was piping hot.
Cost, £6 per person
There is a cafe on site which provides a very decent breakfast for not a lot of money.
Well located, only a hundred yards from the pub although a better pub ( the Cheshire Cheese) is about a mile away in Hope village.
Would definitely return

Always a friendly greeting clean toilets and showers good pub just round the corner and a nice walk into Hope nothing much for the kids to do. Café open in the mornings big bacon butties, plenty of room in the pitches all in all give it a try.

Recently spent a week here, friendly welcome and a choice of pitches, It looked as if there were a few seasonal pitches as well, The price of £17 a night was acceptable, However facilities are somewhat basic, showers need updating and locks that work need to be fitted to the cubicle doors, muddy boots in the shower seem to be a constant problem, outdoor washing up sinks that aren't protected against the elements, The whole site would benefit from a little TLC, This is a working farm so you cant expect perfection, on the positive side the setting is idyllic lovely views and a pub just minutes away that does good food and drink, There are plenty of local information leaflets in the nearby laundry room, Good access from main road and lots of attractions are within easy reach, If I came to this area again to be honest I would look for an alternative location

After every other site we wanted to visit was fully booked for the bank hol weekend, Hardhurst was suggested ( although they havnt got as much facilities as us). We paid £18. 50 per night which included electric, absolute bargin. This site has everything that all the other sites have in the area but without all the fuss, relaxed stress free camping/caravaning at its best. Toilets, showers, washing up facilities ehu and a cafe (open am only). Massive pitch sizes and loads of room to get on to your pitch. Pub 200-300 yard, spar supermarket 2 1/2mile up road towards Castleton. Great for walking or just have a relaxing time away. All my family really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely return.
If I had any regrets at all it would be there was no allocated area for the kids to play eg just a couple of swings and a slide would keep the little ones more than happy.

Stayed for a couple of nights in late February and the pitch for a small-ish tent with EHU & 1 person was £9. 50/night (If I remember correctly).
The site has a large field with combination for tents/caravans/tourers & separate toilet/shower blocks, both of which are well maintained and relatively clean apart from the trudge of muddy boots, which one shouldn't worry about-the showers are very clean. The dish washing facilities are outdoor with no cover, which obviously can get slightly moist if raining!
I am unsure of any other facilities as I didn't use them. There is a nice pub at the end of the road about ten minutes walk away and regular buses into Hope/Castleton and in the other direction, with shops and pubs etc.
The field got rather muddy on the second day due to rain as you might expect-I would recommend using a groundsheet for a tent.
I recommend this site as it's close to the town and not as remote as the Edale sites.
