The owners, Morgan and Kirsty are very helpful, polite and there to help and accommodate your needs within site rules.
A lovely Couple, as is their staff. Nothing was too much trouble.
A down to earth site, as camping, in my eyes should be and serves a wide spectrum of campers.
The campsite is well maintained and views stunning.
Taking my 72 yr old Mum in Law for her very first camping experience is proof in itself to this.
Great owners, great staff and a smashing place to spend time.
Thank you all at Newfold. Top marks.
Ian, Paula and Pauline.

Perfectly located at the start of the Pennine way,
This site has been recently taken over, it was known as coopers but now called Newfold and the new owners are already upgrading the facilities,
The cafe is open for takeaway only at the moment mainly due to restrictions with Coronavirus but the food is superb especially the breakfast butty, there is a good little shop on site stocking a little bit of everything,
The shower and toilet block is very basic but the shower was hot and now free to use.
There were a lot of families staying with young children so expect some noise with the kids running around but good to see everyone sticking to the quiet after 10pm rule.
Looking forward to returning in the not so distant future.

Excellent campsite with great amenities. The staff were lovely and very approachable and the location was excellent - we travelled by foot from the train station and found the campsite easily accessible.
Also excellent connections to highly rated Peak District trails on foot.
A lovely surprise was the pizza cafe on site, and the ice cream in the cafe which was well-needed after a long hike up and down the hills!
Everything was clean, plenty of showers and toilets available, and COVID rules were adhered to. (Child friendliness score is not relatable to my experience, but there were plenty of children on the campsite).

From previous visit, the facilities are the same, except for a lick of paint and new toilet seats, plus portaloos in all the fields.
Some of the toilets did not flush. No changes in the dishwashing area. I'm sure this will change in the future, when the work has completed in other areas.
They now have Bell tents.
The main changes and work done, they now have a reception area, beyond there is the cafe, which sells breakfast batches, cakes, ice cream, coffee, tea.
They have a wood burning Pizza oven.
Next door to the reception is a General Store selling soft drinks, alcohol, veg, bread and other things.
The rates have increased, this will be reviewed for next season. The rates is now £22 for 2 people plus car, £5 for a dog. No concessions for one person, backpackers who arrive by other means of transport.
However covid19 has to be taken into consideration for the reduction in numbers of people able to camp for the pricing. This will be reviewed in the future.
I had a fab time camping and catching up with people. The campsite is situated in a stunning area, walkers paradise. There are two pubs, The Nags Head at the start of the Pennine Way, The Rambler's further down the road, not too far. I had a meal in both Pubs, the food was very nice in both Pubs.

We have been advised that this farm, campsite, cafe & shop has changed ownership during December 2019 due to previous owner's retirement.
It was previously known as Coopers Camping and Caravan Site, Edale, but going forward has a new name Newfold Farm Campsite
For 2020 looks like the site will be open as normal, perhaps with some new developments including bell tents for hire
If you know that this situation has changed, please could you let us know. Many thanks

This campsite is situated right at the end of the village of Edale at the start of many fotpaths, including Kinder Scout and the Penine Way.
The grassy site is not flat and has large ruts in it.
The showers and toilets seem to be a barely converted cow shed from the 70's, and though kept reasonably clean, is very bare concrete.
However, the meagre facilities are tolerable. The attitude of the owners, on the other hand ranges from unhelpful (at best) to outrageously rude.

Very friendly campsite,
Ideal location for hiking in the peak district and only a stones throw from a lovely country pub.
Toilets and showers were basic but very clean.
Loved the cafe, shop and fish and chip shop all on site.
Would definitely recommend and will be revisiting.
