Great site to stop. Always well organised, clean, safe and secure.
Downside if you're wanting to take bus into Matlock/Bakewell they are very unreliable but that's not sites fault.

The site is set in a beautiful area with some of the loveliest scenery and great for walkers. Bakewell is one mile away by car. The pitches and facilities are of good standard, and the pub is right next to where you camp.
The place would benefit from an electric barrier as you often have to wait for staff to manually open it, they are often scarce during the day.
The have recently brought in a pitch charge of £10 pounds to secure the pitch you want, I think the price is more than enough for the original booking which is due to go up to £40 pounds a night.
The site is all year round, a great advantage for those who don't want to stop part way through the year.

Excellent, site very tidy, well kept
Despite the very hot day the pub staff were at the top of there game, food top class. the chicken /mush pie was the best I have ever had,
The outside bar was really good guy serving was really on the ball,
Two slight downers the shower trays could do with anti slip surface,
Not too sure about the barrier system but it seemed to work and staff were very attentive,
Would I go again its more of a case would I not go again, already sorting out next visit

The site was in a very convenient position for the Peak District.
The site itself was not very well maintained the grass was cut leaving the cuttings left everywhere so they went into the caravan and awning
The toilet was cleaned early in the morning when people wanted to shower or use the toilet also all covered in grass. washing up is well dated
The pub itself served very nice food but drinks were a bit pricey

The site is small and well laid out with private access gained via a locked gate.
The facilities are very good.
The food in the pub was very good with the added bonus of a cooked breakfast available.

The site is great for walking, bus route to Matlock or on a steam train from Rowsley to Matlock, and take the bus to Bakewell both worth going to.
Grouse and claret pub has excellent food and a good selection beer and wine. Staff are polite and friendly.
We had a good time there, one or two things wasn't quite as it should be which lower my rating.

Lovely clean site,
Shame the barrier has to be unlocked and locked all the time and toilets are on a code for security but it’s what has to happen when they’ve been let down
