We stayed for two nights with mum and dad. Small site at the rear of the pub, check in is at the bar which was slow but staff were friendly and did apologise for the wait.
Site is a bit tired grass was mown but hardstanding was weedy. Was rubbish including a dog waste bag on the next pitch to us which was still there when we left!
They seemed to group everyone together although the site was nearly empty only half a dozen pitches taken on each night
Showers and toilets were ok, clean enough but a bit cold
The pub is lovely very clean and tidy, the staff were very friendly but all very young. We went in for a drink and to get dessert I ordered a pot of tea but it came with no lid on so I had to ask for one. The desserts were expensive and not very substantial but good quality
We would go again as in an excellent location with bus stops at the entrance
Good value at the moment £25 per night including ehu, going up to £30 in April and I don't think I would like it in summer it would be crowded if full the pitches are very close together and lots of trees around the site

Great location just off the A6 near Bakewell, very handy for Chatsworth and Haddon Hall, located in public.
House grounds good food and retail park nearby too

One of the friendliest campsites we’ve ever used…
Free fabulous scenery and glorious food a stone’s throw away and lots of great places to visit.
Small but perfectly formed!

Lovely site, and clean and well run, also great location at a really good price for a hook up,
We'll be back again and would recommend to all our family,
The bear was a little bit pricy, but the menu looked great, but we didn't eat there, also the food was at a reasonable price,
Thank you

Great location for Bakewell, Matlock and Chatsworth.
The site is tired looking and the facilities are basic.
We only stayed 1 night so we were ok with this. £40 a night I feel is expensive for a basic site.
Peak Village shopping centre, next door is much improved to how it was a few years back.

Lovely clean site in peaceful location.
Great having the pub on site which serves food.

Check in process good, pitch position poor (no sun), shower facilities adequate.
Seven of us dined at the grouse and claret and were originally given a table suitable for five, we ordered two sharing plates which never arranged with little apologies, two of our party had the sea bass which was a very small portion.
Other than that the night went well thanks to the company we were in.

The pub and staff were great, campsite good,
Only 2 negatives for us was, not being able to have the car by the caravan ( had to be left on the pub car park)
Could do with WiFi available on the campsite not just at the pub.
Location was brilliant for exploring the local area.

Lovely location, which we have visited many times in the past.
Very dog friendly and a great pub on site.
Just a really nice place to be.
Right next to long walks and Peak Village outlet for a bit of retail therapy.

Excellent location, staff, and pub.
But, poor bathroom facilities that need some maintenance and that ought to be updated or better still, replaced.
Some pitches are small and separate tents / gazebos are not allowed.
