The fields are beautifully situated with glorious views. I liked the unregimented nature of the place. Lots of wild flowers and grasses with wildlife. We paused, as we left, to let a hare find its way off the lane into a field.
The distance to Robin Hoods Bay itself is not far but it is a steep walk back the farm track to the campsite. If you are going to Robin Hoods Bay though you will be happy with walking up steep hills.
It is a quiet and peaceful place and we had a lovely restful time.
There are individual shower rooms with toilets and wash basins and also a separate unit with toilet and washbasin rooms. Very Covid friendly. All kept very clean.
The pot washing area was closed, because of Covid restrictions but there was a hot water tap where you could wash up as long as you had a bucket or a bowl.
It is not really a site for children as the ethos of the place is peace and quiet. A sign asks for no radio/audio disturbance for example.

If you don’t want to be crammed onto a site in regimented rows and want fantastic views this lovely site just a walk down a steep path to the cinder track to Robin Hoods Bay may be for you. Pitches are large and all had good views,
Showers ( wet rooms containing shower w/c & wash basins) were rustic but very good, clean and free, plus separate w/c’s. EHU’s on some pitches. Dogs to be kept on leads, no radios, no traffic noise. Bliss.
Friendly & informative staff member.

Cracking site!
Really helpful owners.
Great location overlooking RHB.
Easy walk down the Cinder Track into the village.
Picthes are plenty big enough and the facilities are excellent.
Highly recommended.
NB ensure you follow Mike"s instructions on how to get there. DO NOT FOLLOW YOUR SAT NAV 😁

A site with character. Laid out in sections rather than military rows. There is hard provision.
However the site is uneven because of its position on the land. Excellent position for walks to Robin Hoods Bay and Whitby.
Very clean facilities. Chemical disposal area is much better than most sites. Very good views.
Access to the site is long and narrow however the ground has been laid extremely well.

Only stayed the one night but wow what a view I had! I was awake to see a beautiful sunrise over the bay.
Paid £23 for the one night but it was worth it for the pitch I had.
Toilets and showers were still closed, fresh water and Elsan available to use. I
F you follow the signs you can walk into Robin Hoods Bay, takes about half hour, longer coming back as it’s mostly up hill

Wonderful site with outstanding views absolutely loved it.
Perfect location for walking and visiting Robin Hoods Bay.
As we had a lot of heavy rain we were stuck and so needed towing out, a HUGE thankyou for getting us safely on our way.

Lovely quiet site with beautiful sea views from all pitches.
We didn’t see the toilet/ shower facilities as we used our own in the caravan but suspect they will be adequate but not plush.
It’s a bit of a long narrow approach to the site but this means that there is literally no road noise whatsoever.
We will definitely be returning.

Interesting site - not the most pristine but we liked the wildness of it!
Facilities basic but clean and really hot showers not on a timer!
Great views over Robin Hoods Bay will definitely consider booking again
