We (two of us) went for 2 nights (weekend) and generally enjoyed our stay.
PLUS points:
Wonderful views.
Clean/good facilities.
Nice farm buildings that are incorporated into the camp site.
A pop-up drinks bar provided by the local distillery and brewery visited on the Saturday afternoon.
Well-maintained and attractive entrance/driveway and forecourt.
BAD points:
The site looked like it was at capacity (90 pitches) and we were over-run by kids playing football and running through our pitch while we were sitting drinking. Kids belonged to large parties and not looked after (they temporarily lost a child). All tents were pitched along the edge of our field and in the middle was a football pitch, it was in constant use. Twice balls were kicked against our tent.
We were given a pitch and told exactly where to park, as close to our neighbour’s car as possible. This was not unreasonable however once we pitched our small 3-man tent, next to us we had five 4x4s lined up next to our tent so we were effectively pitched in a car park. We saw at least 2 large one-parent groups with children. We were next to one of those large groups and these owned the cars. Behind these cars they preceded to park two additional cars on the outside of their ‘camp’. That seemed a bit strange and unmanaged that they were allowed to do that as we were specifically given our pitch and car space. There was too much metal to look at spoiling our enjoyment. In the early morning the cars were blocking our sunshine. It wasn’t quiet or tranquil either as they were drinking and engaging in loud revelry until at least midnight.
Too many events for a small forecourt/general amenity area. In addition to the gin/beer bar there was face painting for children at the same time which left nowhere to sit for people to sit with drinks from the gin bar. This is ok if you’re pitched near the amenities but as our tent was located the furthest distance this was inconvenient.
The hog-roast organised by the camp site were the tiniest portions I have ever seen. If staying there don’t rely on this for your evening meal.
They are still growing the shrubs that provide a natural screen and wind-break and it was at times very windy. You are on the open hills no trees or anything at all.
You can hire firepits and we saw at least one that was left burning for quite a period of time unattended with flammable camping chairs right next to them. The flames were about 30cm (1 foot) above the fire pit. The camp site may give instructions with the fire pits, if not they should give instructions to ensure that people are aware of fire-precautions on a camp site.

Stayed at Town Farm for the night on Fathers Day. It was a scorching day and the pitch we had overlooked the Chilterns, which was a stunning view.
There are 2 different toilet blocks depending on which field you are in. The toilet block in our field for ladies had 2 toilets and a shower, which were clean.
Lovely walking straight from the site.

Stayed here with my family and had a lovely time, location is very attractive and the site is so well managed.
Its clear there has been lots of investment made in this campsite since the facilities are very clean, modern and well kept.
Staff are also very friendly and made our stay easy and enjoyable.

Another visit to this site, something just keeps pulling me back, maybe it is the views, maybe it is the friendly welcome, maybe it is the relaxed atmosphere, maybe it is the brilliant walking from the site, or maybe it is all of this and more.
Prices are still fantastic value and the facilities were as clean and good as the last visit.
The Swan in Aston Invinghoe has been taken over, however the food and beer was as good as before, and would recommend this to eat if you fancy a stroll and a meal out.
As mentioned last year, I will return time and time again. Thanks to all at Town Farm, a great site in a most wonderful part of the country.

This was our first time camping as a family (2 adults and 2 under 5's) and the reviews of this campsite was one if the main attractions for us. I have to say we were not disappointed.
GOOD POINTS
The facilities on site could not be faulted clean and tidy campsite with good shower/toilet block (which I never saw dirty).
The play park was fantastic for the kids to let off some steam and make friends. We pitched close enough to be able to see the kids but not so close that you could hear the early risers.
The location was great with beautiful views and plenty of public footpaths for scenic walks.
There’s plenty of room in the washing area with ample sockets for charging those electronic essentials.
All the staff on site were very helpful and friendly and the raised campfires were a welcome addition for a £5 rental plus wood.
BAD POINTS
It is a shame that you can’t fly kites on the site as their location would be great for it at the top of the hill but nearby overhead power lines would present a risk, unfortunately we didn't see this in the site rules when packing but there are plenty of places you could fly locally.
We went right at the beginning of the season and this was the only down fall to our trip. Being located in such a hilly area with little shelter the wind kept us up most of the night (The joys of British weather).
Considering we were quite close to the buildings, the WIFI was weak and phone signal isn’t great on site, so if you are planning any days out make sure you’re prepared before you go with postcodes and directions.
OVERALL
We would definitely recommend this campsite to young families and keen walkers.

We recently stayed here for four days and what a lovely place with great views from every pitch over the countryside. Although we always use our own on-board facilities I looked at the toilets and showers which were immaculate.
They were installing an individual water tap for every hardstanding pitch whilst we were there and already in place were grey water outlets so one never need move off the pitch for anything which is very handy for motorhomes.
Wifi as well, although a recent heavy wind (it is on top of a hill) had knocked it offline and this was due to be fixed. We didn't need it anyway but it is another attractive point to this site for those requiring it.
A children's play area is around the corner. A footpath walk takes you into Ivinghoe where you can catch a bus. The owner was very amiable with lots of suggestions about where to go and we would certainly go there again.

Another visit here and we did not book, but Jo met us on arrival and took payment, she was friendly and we also purchased a fire pit and wood, this was £11, we could have brought our own and used this for free had we been more prepared.
This time I used the smaller amenities block and there were very clean, warm, hot water and perfectly usable. There is also a fresh water point by the smaller block.
Great recycling on site and the owners are wonderful.
This time we walked to The Swan in Ivinghoe and took us around 20 minutes to stroll there. We had a couple of drinks and food. The service was friendly and quick and the food was good. The Rose and Crown do not offer food anymore so this is the only choice if you wish to eat out and not use your car. The pub was dog friendly and we sat in the garden. They contacted us the next day to say we had not settled up, however luckily I paid with my card not cash, so was able to provide a receipt. The lady was most apologetic, however be warned to keep your receipts, just in case this was not a one-off as she did say their systems were playing up.
Overall for £12 for the night for one adult and one dog is still fantastic value for a site in such a great location.
We will be back time and time again, I will just bring my own fire pit and wood next time

A well run family-friendly camp site with lots of wide open spaces, football goals and a play park for the kids. When we were there it was quiet and everyone seemed to go to bed at about 10. 30pm. The site is located on a hill, and some of it is quite slopey. The best position to pitch up is at the far end of the site, furthest away from the busy road and with the best views out over the countryside. While the campers were quiet, the road is quite noisy and the site is on the flight path for planes landing at Luton, if the wind is in a certain direction.
If you are camping, bring rock pegs. The ground varies from hard chalky soil which bends pegs to concrete-like solid chalk, which is actually impossible to drive a peg in to. I bent several sturdy rock pegs and broke a mallet while pegging out our tent. Wire pegs will barely break the surface before they bend in half and plastic pegs will be destroyed. You need to peg your tent well because this site is very exposed.
The site's location is excellent. In one direction is a spectacular view of the Chilterns, with Ivinghoe Beacon within walking distance along a footpath opposite the site entrance. In the other is a panoramic view over Buckinghamshire and a footpath to Ivinghoe village through fields of sheep and a wooded lane lined with blackberry bushes.
Camp fires are allowed and you can hire a fire pit and buy wood and kindling from the staff, who roam the camp site on quad bikes. Facilities are good and well looked-after, but might become a bit stretched if the site is full.
When we were there the roof of the building housing the fridges and washing up sinks was home to families of house martins. They didn't mind the people below and it was lovely to see them flying in and out, feeding their young.

Great campsite picturesque location
Toilets and shower facilities were excellent and very clean.
The toilet and shower facilities were kept clean by Sue and her many helpers.
The campsite was very well managed they was always out doing something to make the site look better without disturbing people on the site.
I will be telling everyone I know who goes camping about the site and recommend it to them I really enjoyed my stay and will be going back again and again. Well done sir and all your band of helpers keep it up it is very much appreciated
