Superb site - location above the water’s edge,
Very attentive host,
Very clean and well-provided facilities.
Donald is a very welcoming host.
Within easy reach of shops etc in castlebay.

Great spot by the sea with good facilities.
What more could you ask for.
Staff very friendly and views to die for.
We used this as a base to start cycling the Hebridean way.

Wonderful campsite. Setting is beautiful, the toilet block was very clean and well maintained with hot showers.
The kitchen area was excellent, providing a kettle, microwave, fridge etc, everything you need to just make life a bit easier whilst camping.
I would thoroughly recommend this campsite and would certainly stay here again.

Stunning location overlooking a rocky cove.
Levelling blocks were provided but not needed on our pitch.
Donald was a very friendly, helpful campsite owner. The facilities were kept immaculate.
The gents facilities could become overloaded at peak periods but this was not a problem during our stay despite the site being full on each night.
15 min drive to catch the Oban Ferry at castlebay, which was appreciated at 5:45 in the morning.

We have stayed on the site a number of times and would go back in a heartbeat.
The site is well laid out, good, level, hardstanding pitches with magnificent views of the coastline one way and hills the other. The facilities are excellent and kept very clean.
The owner, Donald, is very accommodating and friendly.
The campsite is about 2 miles from the main ferry port and shops, so easy to get to when you arrive on the island.
I have no hesitation in highly recommending this campsite for a stay on Barra.

We were due to stay for one night and extended to stay two. Fantastic location only 5 minutes from the ferry terminal at castlebay.
Views are beautiful with waves breaking on rocks slightly out in the bay.
The facilities are some of the best we've ever encountered - spotless. Very well organised.
Donald was really friendly & helpful. He was also so kind to our young kids giving them both £1 each to get some sweets. It's made their holiday!

Beautiful location above the beach.
You can hear corncrakes from the site!
Very convenient for the ferry. Hotel and pizzas within walking distance.
Bathroom and Washing up room very clean but a little small for the size of site.
Good WiFi in the washing up area.
We definitely plan to come back and explore the area and and walk up some of the local hills.

Fabulous views; good and sparkling clean facilities and really warm welcome.
My rating for child friendliness is based upon the fact we had no children with us and couldn’t really comment but no option for N/A.
