A well located site, 5-miles to the North of Thirsk - easy access with just a mile of single carriageway road from the entrance.

Peaceful, good views, surrounded by farmland and some adjacent fields accessible for off-lead dog walking.

We had one of the super-pitches, which are enormous by usual standards, so certainly not cramped!

However, these pitches are a fair distance from the facility block, and even further from the entrance / reception / shop / bathroom facilities - never mind though, it's good exercise !

The reception building not only has two superb bathrooms, but also a large lounge with tea/coffee facilities and comfy sofas.

The other facility block is fine, but a bit more utilitarian.

Staff all friendly and helpful -

Can definitely recommend for a restful stay.

Very well laid out site, great toilet block excellent showers with plenty of hot water.

Very large pitch giving plenty of room for awning and car parking next to unit.

Price was lower than expected with the type of facilities.

Staff were very helpful from start to finish.

Lovely site, clean and tidy and gorgeous views.

We had a fully serviced, extra large hardstanding pitch so made things very pleasant for us.

Didn't use site facilities as we used our own but did have a quick look and found them to be clean and modern.

Staff very helpful and friendly.

Have stayed here before and will stay again.

Stayed in one of the dog friendly pods.

Site is in a lovely location and is well maintained. Nice play park and field for games.

The pod itself was nice but a bit pricey. It was clean and well maintained but very, very hot. We did have glorious weather so the pod could have done with some air con as we could not cool the place down at all, with only a small window to the back and the door to the front, at night we could not get any air through as the door was closed.

Also the picnic bench to the front had a hole in the middle but no parasol, so no shade from the sun.

Unfortunately a premium price is paid for the quirkiness of staying in a pod but it was just lacking those couple of things which would have made our stay amazing. So for those reasons we probably would not stay again.

Fabulous stay beautiful spacious pitches with all facilities nearby!

Shower and toilet <50 metres away even a unisex x 2 bathrooms, one wet room with walk-in shower another with a bath too and shower over so would be ideal for young family.

Additional facilities near hard standing pitches 3 showers for men and 3 women with 4 toilets each side all spotlessly clean and tidy.

Lots of space with designated area for balk games and play area on adjacent field!

Will definitely be back as so peaceful.

One of best sites we've ever visited, staff, wardens so professional, and helpful.

All the lawned areas are well maintained, excellent collection of shrubs and trees

What a great site, well signposted, we were warmly welcomed and given our pitch. The site is well laid out, clean and tidy.

There is a play area for kids which was being worked on while we were there.

The facilities were great, only criticism is that the ladies toilet/shower block was unbearably hot.

The dog enjoyed being off lead in the field at the back of the site and was able to have a splash around in the stream.

Dogs are to be kept tethered on site and it bugged me to see a dog roaming round and the owners seemingly not bothered.

Plenty do and see in the area and overall a great stay and would recommend.

There is a charge for wifi, which these days and at this price you'd expect wifi to be in with the price.

The disable toilet lacks wall hooks to hang your clothes on. Great that it's a wetroom but still needs a curtain around the shower area to stop wetting rest of room floor. Somewhere to stand your shampoo etc in shower would be useful. Unfortunately the floor when wet is very slippy and a little dangerous, which is another good reason for curtain.

The toilet light is automatic and often goes out when you're in cubicle leaving you in the dark.

All toilets etc. Are very clean and site is very tidy, though it does have the feeling of being somewhat packed in, there is no privacy between pitches.

Recycling is good, chemical waste disposal is excellent, there is good pot washing with four deep sinks but best to avoid the pitch right next to pot washing, the sinks when in use are very noisy and the bulk head type exterior lightinh shines into your van all night.

The site is easy to find and approached on a single track road with passing places, it is a bit rough in places.

Overall the site is good, the staff are excellent and really helpful.

Spotlessly clean spacious plots with beautiful walksround the site over owners fields.

Feel very welcome. Lovely that on the super plot we could bring our three elderly dogs too.

Beautifully landscaped

We spent 2 nights at Hillside.

The surrounding scenery was lovely the park nice and peaceful.

Everything was perfect from the reception to the pitch.

It is one of the places we will definitely return to.
