Only 5-10 minutes drive from the centre of Great Yarmouth, Rose Farm is a perfect base camp. It is in Belton, a small village with a few shops, chinese, chip shop, pub and local park all within walking distance.
The site itself is beautiful, well kept and floral. There is a small wooden park near reception where the people parked on the big stretch of grass can keep an eye on their children while sitting in their vans.
There is a room opposite the park with a couple of one armed bandits in at 10p a go and a pool table at 50p. We had this place to ourselves, and turned on the machine plugs ourselves and turned them off when we left. There is also a few freezers for you to take your freezer blocks to and a leaflet and tv room.
The site consists of a big field near reception and then a long thin bit behind the first toilet block where caravans park either side for about a mile, with one road in the middle. There are two toilet blocks. Tents are allowed in the middle of the big field and also in the field above the second toilet block.
The dog walk area is up by the 1st toilet block and runs alongside the long bit of the site. It's lovely looking over the fields, scanning for rabbits and birds and you can either walk the thin bit to the next toilet block, or carry on past the tents down to the wood, (which you can't get into) and it makes a good long walk.
The toilet blocks are superb. They are always spotless, with plenty of spare toilet paper. There are about 5 toilets, a curtained off sink for a strip wash and one shower in the 1st toilet block. There is a note saying there are more showers in the other block, but I never found anyone in mine, no matter what time of day I went in.
The shower is free and push button, and the shower head comes off, perfect for doing children. I got me and my 3 children in the shower area comfortably.
We were on pitch E and my parents on F on the big field, making a great big corner for the kids to play in. There is plenty of water taps and waste bins. This is the first time we have been comfortable letting our children go out to play by themselves. At this time of year there was a lot of people who leave there vans on all year, but not many people on, so it felt like our own little peace of paradise! We will definitely be coming here again.

Just come back from a fantastic 6 night break with husband and 3 children. The Campsite was first class ! showers and toilets were very clean and I loved the pictures on the walls! Pitches were spacious and well marked out,and the view of the corn field and singing birds were a bonus. The only thing I would say is that the ground was hard and beant a few of our pegs so take some strong ones.
In the village itself was a lovely local play park with football field and a big tesco express a 5 minute walk around the corner. There is also a Chinese fish n chips shop that we used on the first night. They used very old oil for frying and they all wore outdoor clothers! not even an apron insight! We ordered one fish,3 sausages and chips and had to wait half hour for them!yuk.
But back to the campsite ! We would definitely be going back there again!

We (2 adults and 4 children) have just returned from a five night, mixed weather, stay at this delightful campsite. We were greeted on arrival by the 'Landlady / Owner' who gave us our entry key (£5 deposit needed) and directions to our designated pitch.
The site itself was easy to find, well kept and had ample toilet blocks (x2) - for the size of site and all the facilities were very clean. There was a small playground and a TV / games lodge, which the children made very good use of, when we weren't off exploring the local beaches, indoor play areas and arcades. The showers were free, with plenty of warm water and adjustable shower heads and the toilets had a good supply of paper!
There was an ice-cream van which visited daily too - a nice touch - as there didn't seem to be any shops within easy walking distance.
The ground under our grass pitch (No. 47) saw off at least 7 awning pegs, so it might be an idea to use rock pegs if you have them - saying that the ground didn't prove to be a problem for the very active local mole population. It also proved ideal for the colony of ants that lived under our ground-sheet, but these little niggles weren't anyone's fault (not even the Romans!) and couldn't reasonably be avoided.
On arrival the only thing we thought might have been helpful would have been a plan of the site, but as we soon found out it was very easy to navigate your way around, so we could see why the owners haven't produced one.
From my husband's point of view, he really appreciated the fact that the waste water points had ramps up to them, making 'his' job a lot simpler.
So, apart from some inconsiderate fellow campers on our last couple of nights, we had a relaxing break and we will not hesitate to stay here again next time we visit Norfolk.

We have just got back from a few days at Rose Farm, what a wonderful site. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the site itself is clean, neat and tidy.
The toilets and showers are very well kept and always lovely and warm with lots of hot water. (Showers free) Toilets a bit of a walk from some of the tent pitches but not really a problem. Sure to be going back.

What a wonderful site!
We had a great week here and would love to go back soon.
It was very windy while we were there but that didn't make any difference.
The toilets and showers are first class. Very very very clean and modern and warm! So when you get out of the shower your not dithering!
A lovely clean, covered washing up area with washing up liquid too!
The grounds were kept perfectly and nothing was too much trouble for the lovely lady owner who runs the site single handed and it truly is a credit to her.
We would often see her out in her tractor which our little girl just loved!
Great location close to Yarmouth and the broads.
We felt safe and welcomed here.
I would recommend this site to anyone it shows you just how nice camping can really be.

Great site.
Immaculate facilities, toilet and shower blocks are sure to be appreciated by those who like their creature comforts.
Great Yarmouth is a clean and well tendered seaside resort town.
The convoluted road system in and around Great Yarmouth makes the logistics of getting in and out of the area a little tricky. The Gorleston (fantastic beach a must for a visit) and Lowestoft side are much more accessible.
We found Rose Farm to be a very comfortable site with A1 facilities.

Lovely site, so quiet and the toilets were so clean and smelled good (not like some we have seen). As I am disabled I asked for a pitch near to the disabled toilets and could not have been placed better - just across from it which made life easier for both myself and my husband. The washing up block was good to with plenty of hot water.
It was windy the first couple of days but as we had a bank behind us we were sheltered. Yes it is a long narrow place but it was OK for us and nothing to complain about. The staff were welcoming and friendly to and we will certainly come here again (husband has this thing about going to Yarmouth at least once a year!).
Found Morrisons in Gorlstone good for shopping and an excellent carvery on the way to Lowestoft (£5 for main course)and Chinese in Gorlestone.
Think it helped that the weather was good for our stay.
Would recommend this site to any one.

Had a fantastic 2 week holiday on this site. Sue the owner is lovely and was so friendly, she works hard and can be seen riding around on her bike several times a day, filling up loo rolls etc. And just doing a general check, always saying hello to everyone. The shower blocks are very clean, we tried both blocks and although we were a little further away we did prefer the larger block. But they are both excellent. As you arrive there is a big grass field which was packed when we got there, this is the closest to the play area, tv/info lounge and reception. Then you drive onto what appears to be a very long and narrow drive with grass and hardstanding pitches either side, we were at the beginning which was the widest part and our pitch was huge, we both agreed we wouldn't want to be at the top end, although closer to the larger shower block I thought it all looked a bit too crammed in. When we return we will probably ask to be on the first field or on the pitch we had this time. Its a great site to either just chill and relax or as a base for many things to do when beside the sea, nearly the whole 2 wks we were there were sunny and we were out and about. Gt Yarmouth Stadium is worth a night out if you like the dogs or the car racing, we went to the stock car racing and had a great night. We're not the 'lay on the beach all day' couple but we have to say the beach at Gorleston is very impressive and we spent quite a few afternoons there (the parking is free too) In Gt Yarmouth you pay from £5-£7 for the day.But you do have a great day there doing all the holiday things, plenty to keep everyone happy, so its worth paying, or leave the car behind and get the bus which picks up outside the Kings Head pub which is only a short walk from site. It no longer picks up outside the site. The pub itself is quite nice, we had a meal there and it was all fresh homemade cooking. You must try the Lasagne.
There is a tesco express, chinese takeaway very close by. When your in Gt Yarmouth go a bit further down the road, past the pleasure beach and have a look at the building work going on at the far end, its quite interesting and we sat in the car and had an icecream from the van that's taken root there. Britannia Monument (Nelson's Column) is something you must visit. We both loved Oulton Broad, a very pretty place and lovely to see the yachts and boats. All in all a lovely holiday, and we will be back.

We went based on reviews from here and were not disappointed. The lady running the site worked so hard and was always on her bike patrolling the site and was always friendly and helpful.
The showers and toilets were immaculate at all times they could get busy at peak time but that's understandable but I never had a problem getting a shower.
Gorleston beach we found to be better than gt Yarmouth, nice sandy beach no pebbles with life guards patroling the beach and waters edge and also free to park! Costs about £5+ a day in Gt Yarmouth.
Would we go again to rose farm? yes booking for half term it is in a great spot to use as a base camp.
The only thing I think the camp needs is some sort of camp shop on site saving to go to the local store.

Just got back from a fantastic two week stay on this idyllic caravan and camping park.
An absolute must if touring this part of the country about five miles from great Yarmouth
The toilet blocks are kept scrupulously clean with a professional cleaning company coming to the site a few times a week and the owners keeping them clean the rest of the time (the toilet blocks are checked every few hours by the owners).
The grass was cut most days while we were there and the bins checked and emptied on a regular basis.
The pitch I stayed on was hard standing and was a very good size caravan, awning, and car could all fit on with plenty of room and it was well spaced out from other pitches.
The children’s play park was good and is placed just outside the site office, so while it’s not her responsibility Sue the owner / manager could keep an eye on the children while they are using it. The games room is good too, it has a pool table and a few games machines, we even managed to get a bit of a pool tournament going with other campers on site which was fun. the TV room is next to the games room with free wi-fi, books, magazines, and an ice pack freezer. A local tesco and Chinese take away are within a ten minutes walk (two minutes in the car) and a local pub that serves food just a short walk.
What more can I say but arrive a guest leave as a friend we will definitely be going back next year.
