I have just returned after spending only one night at Rose Farm with my 3 children.

This was our first ever outing in a tent, but it will certainly not be our last.

What a great place to stay!

We chose the site because of the reviews on this website, as it seemed to offer good facilities without being a 'holiday camp'.

On arrival we found a lovely site with great, clean facilities including excellent showers and toilets. The tumble drier meant that we all had dry towels and swimmers ready for another day on the nearby beach. This was just what we wanted to make our brief stay complete. They even had ice blocks there to top up the cool bags! (donation to RNLI required)

The kids enjoyed their first camping trip so much that not only want to go again, but for alot longer too!

I can only thank Rose Farm for making the experience so enjoyable that we are now all bitten by the camping bug!

We are looking foward to a much longer stay with you very soon!

We have just returned from 10 days wonderful camping, there were 5 of us including my 16 year old son who has aspergers and finds coping with crowded places difficult. Which I mentioned when I booked. We were pitched on deck 2 which was perfect for him as it is a smaller area and to one side of the main area, even though the site was nearly full. It was quiet here, though the campsite as a whole was peaceful, though Sunday there was a lot of gun fire as a group of people were shooting in the woods nearby.
The pitches were of good size, and there are picnic tables dotted around, and when some people left near us we were welcome to move it to our pitch.
The shower block was as good as everyone has said, the TV room, pool room and small play area was next to reception. Most family's with young children seemed to be pitched this end of the site.
We made use of the Tesco Express a short walk from the site, with a hardware store next to that and a Chinese take away.
though we used the Chinese/fish and chip shop up the road from the camp site, don't be put off the appearance of the building as it does look a little rundown, but does serve good food though you might have a little wait as its all cooked to order.
We also had to make use of the chemist which is out of sight down the road to the side of the kings head, just keep following the road and you will find it.
Gorleston is just a short drive away though there is a bus service with a stop out side the site entrance which has a fantastic sandy beach, with a couple of seaside shops and a few take away /cafeteria places.
Great Yarmouth is 20 minutes away with plenty to do, a free firework show at 10 o'clock on a Wednesday night, and a visit to the hippodrome circus shouldn't be missed.

This is a fantastic site! Very clean, Fantastic showers and toilets, Free freezer for ice blocks, Telly room, Loads of info on the area, Small play area and games room, Great washing up areas.

The owners are constantly out and about and often stop for a chat to make sure everything is OK! Dogs are free but they do not tolerate their owners not pooperscooping and have asked campers to leave if they don't!

I will be going back again, this is a little gem of a site!

Just returned home from our stay at Rose Farm, it was one of the best sites i've stayed at.
The two toilet blocks were spotlessly clean, there were plenty of showers which meant no queueing and constant hot water (unlike some sites).
The whole site was well maintained and in a great location, Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft are close by.
Our stay for 2 adults and two kids came to £20 per night which is pretty good for a site of this standard.

My wife and I and doggy, stayed on this site in Apr this year. Compared to some other sites it was cheap, no extra cost for dogs, the couple running it were superb. Plenty of local info and the chap worked like a trooper in ensuring the whole site and ammeneties were clean and well maintained.

We enjoyed several days of peace and quiet. I would both revisit and reccommend this site to anyone wanting the same.

Pub close by is worth giving a miss and going the extra 10 mins to the Tavern, with excellent chippie next door.

We visited Rose Farm over the late May bank holiday weekend when the weather was awful, it rained continually from Saturday evening to Tuesday morning.  Other reviews have said how clean the toilets and showers are at Rose Farm and the weather over the weekend really put that to the test but they remained just as clean because of the hard work put in by the site's owners.  The cleanliness of the site is a credit to them.

The amount of rainfall over the weekend would have made any site squelchy but once the weather improved the site drained quickly.

There is a small Tesco within walking distance which we used and local pubs providing food and drink, although we didn't use them.

Rose Farm is about three miles outside Great Yarmouth and other attractions such as Oulten Broad and Pleasurewood Hills are also within easy reach.

The site owners are attentive and welcoming without being overbearing and will try to accommodate you wherever they can.

The weather may have been lousy but the site was first class and we really enjoyed a great family weekend together.

I am sure we will return, hopefully with better weather and would have no hesitation in recommending Rose Farm.

We came to the site with family on a BCF rally. Our first thoughts were, how clean and tidy the site was. On arriving you will see a clean and friendly playground with nearby TV room with leather sofa. And a pool room too. There's plenty of leaflets for planning a day out and the owners are always available to help. The tiolet block is just like a hotel, very clean and with plenty of spare toilet paper about. The surroundings are quiet and the little ponies help you feel like being in the countryside. In all I would recommend this site to anyone who wants a perfect break.

Everyone will be pleased to know that standards have been maintained into 2007. Rose Farm is a sparkling and majestic site, a queen amongst the peasants even on a wet and windy evening in March.

Great site situated about 3 miles out of Great Yarmouth.  This is one of the only sites in the area that is open all year round and still offers full touring and camping without any static caravans on-site.

The site is very deceiving in the sense of the size of it and upon arrival it looks rather small, but after a little venturing the site is in fact, massive.  You are welcomed by a driveway into a large car park to allow you to stop, check in, pick up the barrier key and be told your pitch.  I found the owner, Sue, to be very helpful and knowledagble about the area and always had time for a chat.

Through the barrier system is the first field, this accommodates a mixture of all unit types and has both electric and non-electric pitches, this also has a rather nice facilities block.

Continue further past this field and you are met with another very long field with pitches on either side of the roadway, and continue even further you reach a final field, that although has no electric hookup, it is set more in nature than the rest with a large wooded area behind and more open space.  There is also a new section opened in 2006 that runs parallel with the main strip and this is nice and secluded offering both electric and non-electric pitches. This second field has another facilities block.

On to the facilities, both blocks are very modern and extremely well kept, they were as clean as my bathroom at home! and people seemed to respect this and used the mop and bucket after a shower etc. And this made a pleasant change to find spotless facilities.  Washing up facilities available on-site, and although I did not use them, my daughter advised me the water was very hot and the area was clean.

There is a games rooms on site with a TV, pool table and some other games to occupy the kids, plus a kiddies play area, for the under 10's only I think.

There is a small Tesco about a five-minute walk from the site, but for a larger shop there is a Budgens about a 2 minutes drive (back toward Great Yarmouth), but f you want even larger , there is a Tesco and Asda in Great Yarmouth (the Tesco is one the largest I have ever seen!)

There is a pub about a 5 minutes walk from the site too, but I did not visit it, so cannot comment on it.

Great Yarmouth itself has so much to offer with the beach, promenade, and crazy golf, well basically everything that you would expect a popular seaside resort to have. A Sea Life Centre, swimming pools, etc etc.

The area is also filled with an abundance of activities, the Norfolk Broads are only a very short drive away with all the attractions that they have to offer, castles, windmills etc.  The wildlife is rife is this area, so if that is your cup of tea, you would not be disappointed.

So, overall, the site was clean, flat, well maintained and one that I would use again when in the area.  The area has so much to offer to whole family that I don't think even a week would be enough to do and see everything.  Would I return?  Without a doubt and I probably will in 2007.
