Just had a week at this site, and wish we could have stayed longer! Brilliant site. Lots of children, as it's school holidays, but the place still seemed peaceful. Toilets are amazingly clean, never seemed to get dirty.
The site is about four miles from Yarmouth, if you like Yarmouth, and within easy reach of other quieter resorts.
Tesco Express about 500m away, pub even closer, and a Chinese takeaway at the side of Tesco's, so you never need go hungry!
Small cafe on site. Breakfast was ok at £5. 95, but a bacon and egg sandwich, with one small rasher of bacon, was £2. 50, and some of the children's meals looked pricey.
The site owner was brilliant. Showed us where to pitch our tent, and came back later to see we had managed.
Have already recommended this site to all our friends and family, and now I'm recommending it to you. You will not be disappointed.

Stayed here for the second time in a couple of months (I first reviewed in July) during the August bank holiday weekend. To add to that review there is now a fixed porta-cabin block of 2 toilets and washing up sinks in the main camping field which helped a lot. Pitches had been marked out and they were huge. We had 3 tents and 3 cars on ours.
The only bad thing this time was ordering breakfast from the cafe and not getting it as per menu as they had run out of some items. They could of told us that when ordering!
Once again a pleasure to stay here.

Very nice clean site. Owners very welcoming showed us to our pitch & explained where toilets showers etc are. We have a folding camper & decided not to have hook up we can use either ! we were given a pitch on the bottom camping field manly tents. My only gripe was that there was only 2 toilets & a wash up area in a porta cabin the showers were in another block further down! But could not fault how clean they all were the showers were lovely & hot. The cafe on site was nice breakfast was good & reasonably priced at £4. 95 for full breakfast including tea & toast ! it's in easy reach of Gt Yarmouth & other places would recommend it ! Will be going back myself in October

Stayed on this site between 16-23 august. Fantastic site. So clean and tidy and nice and quiet. A credit to its owners who are very friendly and helpful. Only down side is that wi-fi is only at reception and not across the site but mobile internet signal is fab anyway. We will always use this site in the future as we found it to be one of the best. Easy access to local towns and beaches. Superb shower blocks and wash areas.

Well a truly beautiful site, catering for all types, the site wends its way into a wooded area if you prefer to sleep amongst the trees. The shower, toilet and washing facilities were all 1st class (plenty of hot water to shower) in fact my grandson had to have 3 showers (we were only there 1 night). The owner directed us to gorelston beach, truly vast sandy beach.
I managed to lock my car keys in the boot of my car! and the people looking after the site could not have been more helpful, as you can imagine mortified at doing such a stupid thing. Anyway they had a locksmith on hand and all was sorted. Phew. Had a wonderful stay non the less, gotta give it a go, its right next to the broads and up the coast is a seal colony.
Take extra/stronger tent pegs the ground is like iron i came back with tent pegs that looked like uri geller had performed his magic. All that sun and no rain. Jean

We have visited this site once before in a smaller non EHU pitch a few years ago, but now with little one in tow we opted for the EHU, We arrived Monday the 29th and where given the option of where to pitch, Sue gave us our pin for the secured bollard and off we went, we had the Sahara 6 tent and where given large pitch, we opted for one against a fence line away from the road but close enough to watch the kids on the play ground.
The site is so well suited for trips around Norfolk it is brilliant, its 10 minutes from Great Yarmouth (although there is always traffic no matter what time you go) its 30-40 mins from Norwich and lots of other places within an hours drive, the little cafe on site sells some nice food and milkshakes for keeping cool, and looked as though it stocked some basic items if needed.
The toilets as mentioned previously are spotless and the warm water is always available, some times may be chilly for some but I prefer a cooler shower to one that burns you. Bricks are provided for BBQ's and there are water points in each field.
Yes the ground was 'Solid' but this cannot be helped we had a variety of pegs and yes we bent a few but on Thursday night with howling winds we slept sound in the knowledge they were not coming out the ground haha.
The playground is great for little ones and my lad enjoyed this nearly every morning I think he liked this more than any other part of our holiday having the play ground next to his tent.
Value for money for us was great as said above we are returning customers and will do again, we spoke with our neighbours who have returned every year for 35 years and stay from May - October and help out on the site, and where great, other people we chatted too also returned year on year I think this speaks for it self.
I think the site is suited to families with small children who do not want to be kept awake till all hours by club houses and other campers enjoying themselves till all hours (nothing against this, it has been done but we now have children and we will book accordingly) each to their own.
Nothing bad to say about this site and will return for many years to come hopefully.
We did pack up a day early mainly because of an ant infestation in our tent, but again this is to be expected and we should have taken measures earlier in the week, but also it showed Thunder storms for Saturday so thought we would stay for the 7:30pm circus showing and drive over night, needless to say after a day of wandering and a circus is needed a couple of power naps at 2am this morning.
We will always recommend the circus in Great Yarmouth to any one visiting too, it has become a little bit of a tradition for us and is thoroughly worth the trek for us.
Thank you to the owner and family for a very enjoyable stay once again.

We stayed in the non electric pitches at the back end of the site for 2 nights. The campsite was very good. The kids enjoyed the play area and made some lovely friends. Their weekend deal was very well priced and I liked the fact there was no rush to leave on the Sunday as per most other sites.
When booking the site I liked the fact it had a cafe and was looking forward to using this instead of cooking breakfast, however it was shut the weekend we stayed due to annual leave! So unfortunately I can't review the food.
The toilet block was spotless and there was plenty of showers for the amount of pitches. I also loved the fact they offered a FREE freezer pack service which we used everyday. I think this should be free everywhere.
There was only one small draw back to the site and that was the very hard ground. I know that we have not had rain for ages, but I bent every peg trying to secure my tent (it's only small) and it appeared that most people had the same problem.
The other thing I noticed walking through the camp was that some of the electric serviced pitches were very close to the one road that ran through the park. I would be worried that my children would run out of the caravan into the road without thinking, as a child did to me when I was driving through on afternoon. Thankfully it's only a 10 miles a hour speed restriction so no injuries.
I would stay again and recommend to others, but maybe take heavy duty pegs with me :-)

Excellent little campsite and very friendly staff. The non-electric tent field is after all of the caravan pitches and looks out onto open meadows. It was a very relaxing place to visit especially as it was quiet at the time. Their weekend deal meant it only cost us £22 for both Friday and Saturday night.
The site map shown an additional toilet block in the camping field but this was not there (possibly not built yet), but this was not a problem. The toilets/shower blocks were in excellent condition and very clean. The showers were free and always hot, the only negative was the lack of temperature control. A cold shower was needed on such a hot weekend.
Only tried the cafe once, but the owners were happy to open up for us and cook us breakfast after they had already shut up shop. There were also a few pubs in walking distance, the closest 5 mins away, but I did not go in.
The site was a good base to explore the Norfolk broads, Great Yarmouth and the surrounding areas. We cycled pretty much everywhere over out short holiday. Also worth a visit is the Priory Farm Restaurant approx 10min by car away. The food was excellent.
I would definitely go back!

Could be a nice site or maybe you just need to pitch in the right place?
We chose near the gate which was also overlooked by the staff. Complaint after complaint after complaint.
Or maybe you shouldn't take kids, or bikes, or Phantom DJI's, or two cars, or, or, or.
After the first few days we felt like we were constantly being watched which was no fun at all.
The weekend was nice and quiet but the rest of the week we were woken up to to the dulcet tones of containers being murdered in the yard next door. Pick them up to move them? Don't be silly - just push them across the concrete yard - at 7am! Makes a lovely drum kit.
Never saw the cafe open at all - definitely losing out to the breakfast trade as many of the other campers would have also loved a bacon butty or two.
Showers on button timer - about 20 seconds - so you spend more time pushing than washing.
Good location for cycling - 5 miles via the river to Great Yarmouth and lots of cycle lanes everywhere.
Can recommend the Queens Head for good grub and drinks and the chinese near the Tesco Express.

What an excellent site! We turned up unannounced and they gave us a friendly welcome, found us a plot (we could choose according to preference) suggested dinner in the lovely on site cafe, which we had. The site layout is good, with plenty of room between vehicles, which is partly due to it being on two levels. The people on site were nice, the toilets and showers free and super clean and all facilities great. I would definitely visit again.
Although the site is just outside Belton, which is not desperately pretty, you do not see the town at all and there are lovely views of fields. It is easy to go to Yarmouth or the Broads and close to the Roman fort of Burgh Castle, which is well worth seeing.
