Just spent our first night away in our new motorhome. Well, new to us anyway! Sue couldn't of been more helpful when we booked yesterday morning just for the one night. We had a great pitch on one of the super pitches right next door to a very clean, warm and well kept shower block. All facilities were there including waste water drains, water and of course mains electric. The site is in a lovely location and despite the torrential rain and strong winds we managed to survive. This camp site also offers a lovely small path on which to walk your dogs. It boasts a freezer store, cafe, kids play area etc. We will definitely be back as the site is open 365 days a year. Really enjoyed it and would recommend to anyone. The pub is okay and and about a 5 minute walk to!

Having stayed here a few years ago I was disappointed to see that the lovely open field views and unspoilt feel to the site had changed. All around are white chain link fences and wooden fences marking pitches and roadways.
I was pleased to see on the website a café which thought would be handy but when we arrived it had been shut down and replaced with a burger bar. Although there are signs posted all over the site advertising this, it too was never open.
Every morning we were woken by the gardener either mowing the grass right next to out pitch, emptying bins or constantly riding up and down on the tractor. I realise the site needs to be upkept but to start a little later would be nice, after all we are supposed to be on holiday.
Sunday mornings there is a gun-shoot in the next field also which starts early.
Shower block is lovely and clean but went for a shower in the evening and the timer on the lights went out and was left in the dark to get dressed until someone came in which is not ideal.
Still a nice site but do not come expecting a relaxing time. Would be nice if the site would decide whether or not to provide food as on one occasion returned back expecting to get something on site but had to pack up and go out again for food.

We have just had one night at this lovely site. I don't think we could find fault with anything. We were given pitch number 69, opposite the second toilet block. An almost level pitch with loads of room. The toilet blocks were clean and tidy. The notices and cartoons in the toilets were amusing. We used our own shower only because I put the hot water on and didn't want to waste it.
There was a burger van on site so had to try it. The menu is a little limited but the prices were reasonable. We used the café on site for breakfast Monday morning. That must be one of the best breakfasts for two we have had in a while, and only £8 all in.
There is an information hut with lots of leaflets for the area and there is a notice board by reception with local information like walks, local shops, buses and pubs.
We usually do our own cooking but this was a short notice one night add on to a weekend away.
Considering it was busy season this was one of many sites in the area but the only one that had spaces and would take a booking for one night only. We will go back it will be a good base for the Suffolk & Norfolk coast.

Had 3 nights on Rose Farm what a wonderful site with friendly staff who showed you to your pitch ample sized pitches very clean showers and toilets.
We have 3 children a teenage girl and 2 boys aged 8 & 10 well we never saw the boys they were off in the play area and the small games room making friends straight away.
We would definitely come back again.

This was the first time we had been to rose farm and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The site was very clean and very well kept. We were made welcome plus the showers and toilets were very clean. We found the site very piece full. L would recommend the site to friends and family or to any one who wanted a good site to go to. The whole site was beautifully.
Yours faithfully Mr Ray Faxon. & Ms Jackie Holmes

We have just returned from a short 2 night stay with our first caravan.
The site is in a very good location for the beach and tourist attractions. The pitch we stayed on was a fully serviced gravel pitch with electric, water & waste which was next to the shower block. The shower facilities were first class, very clean and plenty of hot water.
There is a small child's play area and games room. The cafe on site only served breakfast during our stay, but at £3 for a full English was both tasty and value for money.
Our only gripe was that there is only a small area in which to walk the dogs and as you are next to a fairly busy road, this is the only option you have.

This was our second visit to Rose Farm and we've booked to return again. Although it was the May Bank Holiday, the site was quiet. We stayed on the first field, nearest to the play area/reception/cafe. Our daughter spent most of her time on the small play park, and had a go at playing pool.
The large pitches are on a very slight slope, well grassed, and the ground drained well despite the amount of rain we had. There were a lot of ants around - but we didn't see any in the tent.
The site has a lot of seasonal caravans in the middle section, and a very long more open area for camping (no EHU) - which can be a long walk to the shower block (I think the put a portable toilet block out there in high season). That section was virtually empty when we were there, so we used it for kite flying.
The toilets and showers are fine, the family bathrooms a nice touch. The site was mostly caravans when we were there, so the showers may get busier with more tents on site. The information shed has plenty of local activity leaflets, and a freezer for campers.
We didn't use the cafe this time, but by all accounts the breakfasts are good. There are a couple of small Tesco Express shops nearby, and larger within a few miles.
A nice, quiet site, in a good location for the coast of Norfolk and Suffolk.

Stayed here 3 nights in our tent with EHU Whitsun BH weekend.
Upon arrival everything was explained to us by the owner / manager. There was a small play area for kids by reception which was okay but very small (10 kids max Id say).
We were asked to effectively choose our pitch. It must be said they were all of a good size. We were told we could opt for one near the reception or go up to 'Deck 2', which overlooked farm land and was a bit quieter - so we did that.
First impressions - lots of caravans! There must have been 100+ and about 10 - 15 tents. We drove past loads on the way to 'Deck 2', which was indeed more peaceful - but still only a short walk from one of two toilet blocks.
On that note, the toilets / washing up / freezer rooms were both fine and very clean. There was also a tourist information room at the first one. The showers were fine and there were 4 in each.
This wasn't a hugely busy place by the seem of things, and although the play area was small - I never saw it get busy as id say its more a site for the older generation who leave their caravans there all year around.
The cafe was decent and very reasonably priced - £3. 00 for a full cooked breakfast is value you rarely see these days - and it was nice (I am a proper fussy food snob).
The best thing though about the site was an area that appeared to be pitches without EHU (at least some of it) but the rest was just grassland and trees. It was a lovely area to play football and frisbee with the kids - and we had it to ourselves. Although I don't know why!
I really liked this site - not as much of a 'family site' as others but it was lovely and quiet and really well maintained.

We booked this site as we have made the step up from tent to a caravan, we wanted somewhere quiet so we could get used to everything on the van.
The site itself was everything it said in the reviews, very nice we asked to be pitched near the play area this was not a problem. The toilet and showers were spotless but we're not heated so were a bit nippy. There is a pub round the corner and tesco extra and Chinese takeaway. The only problem came with the dog rules which are very strict and policed by the rather rude and brutish warden who dragged my rather old but friendly Westie across the park, (I actually wanted to ask him how he would feel if I dragged him across the park) on the whole a lovely site but don't bring your dog's, (not until they have changed wardens). We love the area but will try elsewhere next time

Just come back from 11 nights camping here at Rose Farm.
We were in our large tent with EHU, on the front field pretty close to the 1st Toilet block. We knew there were caravans 'up the lane' part of this site but only after exploring was it clear just how big this site is.
Facilities were on the whole clean but struggled a bit with the amount of people over the Bank Holiday weekend as this site got VERY busy.
I'd suggest some extra 'family rooms' they had with shower, sink and toilet, its almost like an en-suite.
Others have complained that WiFi is only near reception, which as I would expect, but we could pick it up and we were almost the other side of the main field.
Had a nice walk to Burgh Castle, there is a pub only a few hundred metres away, and a Chinese takeaway and a Tesco Express not much further too.
I had read a review which stated that clay pigeon shooting took place on Sunday right next door, it did but was pretty insignificant really - people have to realise that you may be camping but life goes on around.
Will we be returning, we certainly will, though probably not over a Bank Holiday weekend.
