Stayed for the first time at hopleys, had a nice weekend. The chap was very pleasant on reception showed us were we could pitch up, nice clean site only draw back on a bit of a slope.
There is a new shower/toilet block built very tidy and clean, small park for children, farm shop and a cafe. Nice views on site,
Bewdley town about 2 miles away great chip shop their right by bridge.
There is a small fishing pool on the site. Its a place me and my family will stop again.
There are lots of places to visit in the area like the safari park and stourport, I recommend this site for nice weekend break.

Just got back from our very first camping trip with two young children. The facilities were fantastic and the surroundings beautiful. Nice warm and clean showers with easy access and room to wash kids in.
Bewdley town centre 5 minutes away in a car with a great chippy and an off licence! We stayed on the top field which does have a bit of a slant. 15 minutes away from Kidderminster if you need anyhing which was handy because we forgot to take our pillows.
The shop on the site is brilliant, selling lots with a range of quality, locally produced goods. Next to that is a simple but tasty Cafe. The park is a bit small but the kids still enjoyed it.
We stayed for just 2 nights which was enough I think for our first venture. On the second night we hired a camp fire which cost £9 for wood and a £20 deposit for fire; well worth it and was great for marshmellows.
Justin the owner was sound and we will definitely be going back in the summer!

We stayed here as a quick weekend get away as it is local and I needed to take my son back on the Saturday morning for a cricket match.
The welcome was OK but with no specific description of facilities or instruction as to where to pitch (‘somewhere in the field below the caravans and beyond the tepees').
The site is on a very pronounced slope, some parts more so than others, we managed to find a place where we wouldn't roll out of bed!
The new facilities were very nice, but filthy. I used them just after they were cleaned (the teenager doing it walked out just after I walked in). The floors were still covered in mud, the sinks dirty and pubic hair all over the urinals - my wife said the ladies facilities were just as bad. The portaloos on our part of the park were dreadful - I didn't realise that I could hold my breath for so long!
The attached farm shop was great (seemed to get a lot of trade external to the camp site) and those serving a delight. We didn't try the cafe.
All in all, this could be a lovely (if hilly) site if only the owner did a little more to police and clean it. He does seem to be trying to make it a nice site; He would be better off upping the price (it was very cheap) and evicting some of those that do not know how to behave amongst civilised people.

Booked all 4 tipis for a well behaved hen party. Tipis were excellent, with almost everything you could need, plus fire pits outside.
Justin was really helpful and very pleasant to deal with. Facilities were clean, but could have done with a couple more showers (14 girls in our group!)
Love to return with the family next time.

We have just got back from a 2 night stay here.
We pitched in the lower field and used EHU for the first time ever.
The owner was lovely but not there when we arrived but directed us to pitch any where on the row, as they were having a music concert at the weekend.
We tried out the cafe which is open from around 8.30am till 3 pm (different at weekends) and it offered good value so that was breakfast sorted with no need to cook then.
The shop was nice too and sold lots of different veg and cakes and biscuits and other food basics. It also had the sort of basics for camping too (soap, etc)
The new toilet block wasn't open yet, but the old ones were clean but basic. The shower was lovely and hot and nice and large so can dress easily in there without getting anything wet. Liked the idea of not being able to take outdoor shoes inside.
We hired a camp fire but only able to light iot the one night due to the wind getting up. They are nice and heavy just the right size for camping too and the cost of hire includes a great big bag of wood too, but a deposit is also needed.
Though think some campers who hire them need some instructions on how best to use them as noticed a few very large branches had been attempted to be burnt, and another family had set theirs up directly under their guy lines and they left it buring whilst they went for a walk.
The owner did go down and have a 'talk' to a couple who had been a bit noisy, not that we had complained or heard them, but it was nice to see the owner actually take some action and this reassured me that this was a good site.
The ehu on the bottom field is set out in a double pitch and has a slight slope.
The slope was enough for our air beds to slide down during the night, but the bedroom corners held tight.
On chatting with the owner my husband tells me that next year there are plans to bring in the diggers to level the site a bit more, so if this happens that would make it brilliant. (and why it's a 9 and not a 10)
The village of bewdley was lovely and quaint. Sat and ate lunch in front of the river seven, watching the swans.
The site isn't far from the severn valley railway or west midlands safari park either and we plan to return here with our children (we had been childless for this camp) so we go visit these places.

We arrived here on a bank holiday weekend after booking about a week earlier. We pitched as non electric on the bottom field near the tipi's.
There was a slight slope but didn't really cause any problems. Although lovely new shower/toilet facilities had recently been built there simply wasn't enough of them for how many people were on the site and they were really quite dirty (muddy) for the duration of our stay.
On the bottom field there were 2 porta loos which were disgusting, we had a look but never used, instead walked up to the main block. It would have made much more sense to have the shower block nearer to the camping area than to the caravan area
Kids play area was tiny and up in the caravan area. Fishing pool was nice, small and very busy.
Bewdley itself is lovely. Also plenty of places nearby such as stourport, kidderminster, safari park, ludlow and the wyre forest.
All in all we had a lovely weekend here, we would return again but only for a maximum of 2 nights due to the facilities.

On quite a steep hill so had to do the holding on stilts and adjusting the jockey wheel job to get a level and the back stilts were nearly fully down and on a large block of wood - meant the awning was flapping and the skirt letting air in at that end. It was a bank holiday weekend so you would expect somebody to be keeping the toilets clean but they were quite dirty at times and more than 50% of the time were out of toilet paper. Very limited facilities for quite a large camping site. Caravan pitches are only just big enough for caravan, awning, car tightly fitted in - no more space than that. The steps down to the camping field where our friends were staying were dangerous. They had great trouble sleeping at night on the steep slope. The shop was useful and welcome. We had to have the caravan towed off the pitch by a tractor because the grass was so wet at the end - or more because the hill was so steep! Oh - and it's a long walk back up the hill from Bewdley - and then you realise how high up the hill the site is as the wind picks up on site.

Lovely large campsite, plenty of space, but we thought a tad expensive with all the added extras (visitors to you, £1 per head, etc). The new toilet/shower block was still being built, and the old facilities were a little basic and dated but clean. There is a cafe on the site providing simple meals and snacks and later in the season the farm shop will be open. The campsite is next to a busy road, but this was not a problem for us.
If you wish to have a meal at the local Hop Pole pub, be aware that they may be using the dining room for a disco, so check before going. This pub is about 10 mins brisk walk down a steep, curving hill by the busy road - with a steep uphill walk back! The lovely quaint town of Bewdley is on the banks of the river Severn and attracts a lot of visitors. Also nearby are the Wyre Forest, Severn Valley (steam) Railway and West Midlands Safari Park.

Greatly improved. The changes since last year have made a big improvement with a new toilet block and fencing on the lower field to organise the pitches. There are also better steps and more electric and water in the lower field.
It is still a great site but our stay was spoilt buy other campers and sadly the camp rules were not enforced. There were dogs running around off leads, music and noise into the early hours and tents pitched on the access road. Football was played in amongst the tents and despite being asked to stop, continued until a rogue shot caused damage to equipment. We had a lovely time but left a day early.
We will probably come back again as it is a lovely site, however we will try and pick off peak times.

Just spent 3 chilly nights on hard standing in top field lovely flat pitches. Stunning views across the valley.
Nice shower & toilet blocks when I was there they were taking down some old toilet blocks to build new ones. Small play area for the kids, loads of places to walk the dog,
Justin the owner very friendly & helpful.
Nice pub called the Hop Pole within walking distance about ten minutes & in the historic town is a award winning chippy, near the bridge.
Would definitely go back again.
