Had a great 2 night stay here Wednesday 'til Friday, and would recommend the site to others.
Stayed on the lower camping field, which did slope, but not too much, so just take care when pitching. The site was quite quiet, so we had no problems with the facilities being crowded, however, we are late risers, so weren't around when we could expect it to be busy. Having said that, there aren't lots of facilities, so be aware.
There is a cafe on site as well as a Farm shop, both of which were welcome.
Bewdley isn't too far away in one direction, whilst in the other is the Wyre forest visitor centre (and a Go-Ape).
Overall, a good site run by a friendly owner.

We arrived on the Saturday lunch time after checking in was told we could pitch our tent at the top field or bottom. We choose the bottom field as this was our first time camping with my friend and two children we had a great time we were pitched by the porto loos bit disappointed no toilet paper but were clean we went in the shop and was surprised as to so many things in there. Showers and toilets were clean. We would go back again as my daughter loved the horses been there

We booked for 4 nights and on arrival we had the first bit of trouble which was getting hold of the owner who did not seem to like staying in the office and had a phone number to keep ringing him on his door.
When he eventually arrived he showed us to our pitch which was overlooking the valley and was very nice. Make sure you have strong v pegs as the ground is very stone / slate type ground under the thin covering of grass, and your normal pegs may bend very quickly.
The top field is very open to the weather and for the first two nights the wind was very bad. The owner does permit fires if you purchase a firepit (£20 deposit) but be warned he does not like you burning wood if you have not bought it from him.
His dogs kept barking all night and the owner did not operate a noise curfew. The park that was provided for the kids got very muddy so be warned that when your kids go to it they may come back a different colour.
The site is by a very busy road on two sides and the noise did not ease at anytime in the night. Toilets basic and for the 60 or so tents using them I thought 2 gents and 2 ladies were a bit strained. Long cues at peak times. And only one shower for male and one for female. Sinks for washing pots were very smelly and never cleaned.
The chemical waste toilet disposal is never cleaned and you do have to queue alongside them for the toilets. The bins are emptied on a weekly basis and are very overcrowded, the shop is by far the strangest shop I have encountered. Sells jam and home made chutney and all the things you don't want, I think maybe a small range of bacon/ sausage or even a few tent items would be a good idea.
The on site cafe was never open all the time we stayed. Watch out for the loom and shuttle carvery. We had the misfortune of this place and was not well the next day.
West midlands safari park only about 3 miles away and handy for bewdley (the angel pub does great food with complimentary salad bar) which is about 15 minute walk away. Lovely village with lots of food outlets and canal/river wine bars.
Bridgenorth worth a visit with its cliff top railway which links the top town with a smaller town below. Has a few good shopping stores. Marks and spencer / somerfield

We had never been camping before and wanted to try our trailer tent out and a friend recommended your site. It was a lovely site to visit with everything you would need for your camping holiday.
We only stayed for one night but what we saw and used was more than adequate with clean toilets, washing up facilities and showers. The children enjoyed the fishing pool and the play area. All in all a very nice campsite, would recommend to friends and family.

Lovely site, bit of a slant for tents but adds to the fun!
Only downside, mentioned by other reviews, is the lack of showers and wash space.
Suggest skipping peak times and showering during day or mid afternoon as queues form early morning and evening for the one male and one female shower (and there appeared to be only one queue to use both!). With 2 full fields of tents, this is a problem.
One rowdy party still going strong on saturday night at 12.30am, but one quick call to owner and this fell silent straight away. (not against groups chatting til the wee hours, but loud music a tad too far.)
PS. 30 min walk down and up steep hill to Bewdley centre, but couple of pubs on way to whet your appetite!

Spent 5 days here. Beautiful campsite. Well kept. Lovely deli shop & Cafe on site reasonable prices, from full English breakfasts to snacks, sandwiches, chips etc.
Justin is a Very friendly & helpful owner. Just one downside not enough toilet, shower facilities (ok when quiet). Justin has plans to build more. Fabulous views. Close to the lovely town of Bewdley with many shops, pubs eating places etc.
We shall be going back to Hopleys with out a doubt, just Perfect.

Have just spent 2 nights with my family at this sight as a quick spontaneous weekend away to make the most of the sunshine. Lovely views, especially if you are at the top of the sight. Warm welcome.
However.Very rowdy neighbours and little management of a 'curfew' which made it very noisy past bedtime for those of us with younger children.
Toilet and shower facilities were poor - there was no soap in the dispenser until Sunday morning, and the showers in particular were filthy. Good washing up facilities. Nice deli shop serving pastries if requested in the morning.
Doubt that we will return.

This was our first ever camp trip and I have to say that we felt most welcome.
With a 2 and a 6 year old both enjoyed the setting.
We chose a spot on the bottom field (bit of a slope) and it was lovely. Port a loo not far away either which was clean.
After torrential rain on our first night we now know our tent is waterproof and the ground wasn't that muddy which was good.
The camp fire that you can hire is a must early may and cost is very reasonable. There was no rowdiness, people friendly and most importantly felt kids were safe.
Will definitely return in June

Just spent 4 days on this site at Easter with a group of friends.
Positives
- Great location, bewdley is a lovely little town and there is lots to do in the surrounding area and plenty of nice pubs to visit.
- Campfires are allowed (and were needed in April) provided you use the supplied fire pits which keeps the campfires contained and safe. These are £20 deposit, wood and kindling can be bought from reception too.
- There is a small playground for children and a cafe at the top of the site which was great for an easy breakfast on the morning we were leaving.
Negatives
- The site was very muddy and the water didn't seem to drain away well. A few vehicles got stuck on the camping field.
- The toilets are very small and cramped and have no hot running water - although there is in the washing up sink (which a friend had to use to have a shave)
- There is only one shower for women and one for men. There were queues and the site wasn't very busy. This will be a problem in peak season.
- Compared to other sites stayed at the price seemed expensive for the facilities offered.

Have just spent a weekend at this site. The facilities are minimal, but adequate and the site clean and tidy.
The owner is very friendly and seems to have some great plans for the future of the site.
Bewdley is just a mile from the site and is a beautiful town. Worth a visit are The Merchant fish bar for fish and chips which are nothing short of superb. Grannystap is a small Victorian style tea shop and it is more like having afternoon tea in somebody's home than being in a restaurant.
The Severn Valley Railway is a short distance away and is brilliant, especially for kids to see Santa at this time of year.
We will definitely visit this site again.
