I stay here every weekend, I have a permanent summer pitch and a winter pitch, so I can stay as long as I want all year round. I even spent xmas and new year there!

The site is very clean, has lots of facilities, the staff are all very friendly and helpful. The caravan sales staff are also very helpful and got me a great deal.

The site has a chip shop! After looking at several sites. This was my deciding factor! They have fried snickers bars on the menu, but when I asked for one they said they don't serve them. Bit strange?! Why are they on the menu? It's the only negative thing I can think of about the site. So that's not bad!

The site is a few minutes drive from several great beaches, shops and coast path walks. The site has a country walk which follows a stream through a woodland, but so far every time I tried it I had to turn back as the ground was so muddy. But that's English weather for you I guess!

In summary. The site is great, good value, friendly, secure and there's plenty to do.Even on a rainy day :o)

A visit to this campsite on May Bank Holiday weekend this year with a rally was with a little trepidation on my part as I really didn't know what to expect. I am a seasoned camper alongside my husband, three kids and dog and having bought a caravan only two months ago wasn't quite sure what to expect, especially having read reviews on the sheer size of the site. I think I expected a quite commercial site with all the noise and so on that goes with it. I was pleasantly surprised!

It is a huge site but having said that it doesn't feel that way. It is sectioned off into various meadows giving a smaller perspective to the place. We stayed there with 3 kids, age 15, 11 and 10 and all had a fab time.

Stacks of room for kicking a football around without disturbing other holidaymakers. Petorama for I think £1.75, in barn with various animals to interact with.Rabbits you can pick up and pet, lambs and calves you are able to feed for an extra small amount, chicks newly hatched, a goat that wanders round and nibbles your clothes whilst you do so. Stacks more too!

Crazy golf cost us £6.50 for all 5 of us which passed an hour while we were working out whether it was going to rain or not!

Good dog walking area with waste bags provided.

My 11 year old daughter was in her element as they have their own stables on the site. Half hr pony ride £10, an hour for £15. We opted for the 'pony morning' at a cost of £30. 9am-1.00pm time spent at stables learning all about horses, grooming, feeding etc and including 1 hour riding. After spending 45 minutes there the event got rained off so the stable refunded £15, brought my daughter back to the caravan in their landrover and she still got to go riding later when the weather cleared up so effectively she got 45 minutes free at the stable for nothing; time which she adored and we would have gladly paid for. We made a donation for the upkeep.

We didn't have much use for the toilet block which we did look at and was immaculate. My husband did use the showers which were perfectly adequate.

Describing the site shop as well stocked would be the understatement of the year. It has everything you need and even things you didn't realise you needed till you visited it!

For the kids: various parks and a games room with pool tables etc.

Indoor swimming pool which we didn't make use of however I believe was quite reasonably priced.

There are a couple of bars and a restaurant. We didn't eat there although we did pop into the stable bar for one drink with the kids one night. Set in a stone building with high ceiling and oak (I think) beams, very cosy if you go right to the back. There was live entertainment at the weekend but we chose not to attend.

Surrounding area is gorgeous, too many places to mention but Woolacombe Bay is a must. Lovely sandy beach. Can take dogs however beach split into three sections. No dogs / dogs on leads and completely dog friendly. Take bags though, no dog waste bins.

On paper I would not have chosen to go to this site. It sounded far too commercialised for my liking but unfortunately I have to admit I'm wrong sometimes! It was a very charming site. Entrance to site reasonable and while I believe some of the fields require a certain amount of levelling, the field we were on was fine.

Our travelling distance was 4 and a half hours. Originally, as new to caravanning, we were wondering if it was going to be worth it! However, we're going back next year (if we can get in!)

We weren't sure about this site due to it's size but looking at the reviews we thought we would give it a go and were very pleased that we did. The site doesn't feel crowded with well spaced out pitches and the showers and toilets, of which there are more than required, are always very clean with plenty of hot water whatever time of day. There are good washing up and washing facilities if you are staying for a few weeks.

The pool on site is well worth a visit, very cheap with good changing rooms and a great temperature for the children. The site also puts on entertainment for the kids on a regular basis. Along with a well stocked shop and a pub and restaurant there is a chippy just in case you don't fancy cooking.

Already booked again for August!

A huge site in peak season with lots of facilities, but during the winter a much smaller and quieter site. We were pitched on Field 5, the only field open at this time of year, but normally reserved for dog owners at busier times of the year. A lovely field with rolling countryside views. The hardstandings are concrete and as you are also expected to park your car on the concrete, erection of awnings is not an option. Levelling blocks and ramps are required whether on grass or hardstanding.

The toilet block seems very new and is pristine, warm and with lots of hot water. There are a couple of small play areas on site with limited play equipment. My spoilt 10 year old scored the play equipment at 1/10. The staff were very relaxed and friendly.

We visited Woolacombe with its lovely wide, sandy beach (dogs allowed at this time of year) and Lynton and Lynmouth where we went on the very expensive cliff lift. £11 return for a family of four and a dog.

This site is very large but still manages to be extremely well maintained. On arrival the staff in reception are very helpful. Some of the pitches are on sloping ground but we found that this was not excessive. The facilities are comprehensive.
There is a shop selling groceries, magazines etc. Which is run by very helpful people as is the camping and caravanning store. There are several good bars and restaurants the pick of which is the 'the wild pheasant restaurant'. There is also a caravan sales area where new and second-hand caravans can be viewed.
The washrooms are kept clean and have plenty of showers etc. However the showers are small and, while we were there, always cold! The other downside was the petorama / crazy golf which was in an extremely poor state of repair.
Overall though this is a site that I would recommend to anyone. The surrounding area is varied, Ilfracombe is not good however Lynton and Lynmouth are worth a visit.

Well what can I say, we've never been much for large sites but stowford meadows just cant put a foot wrong. This place puts every site we have been to in the last 4 years to shame. We stayed on a w/end that they launched their new bailey range of caravans, so there was over 1 thousand pitches booked, did they cope,by god yes, always hot water, clean tidy, plenty to do, great atmosphere. Simply fab. Keep up the good work folks see you next year (would come again this year but its a bit chilly at night)

Have just returned from here and the shop was open until 9pm and the bar from 10am until 11pm.

The shower and toilet were closed for cleaning from 10.45am until 12noon. The showers weren't the best I have seen but were warm and clean.

We ate at the restaurant on site and and the service was slow (the drinks arrived at the same time as the food) but the staff were very friendly. The only complaint I would have was that it was the same kitchen as the chip shop and you got chip shop chips with every dish.

The campsite is in a very hilly area, not on a bus route and there is nowhere within walking distance.

We visited Mortehoe village next to Woollacombe and it was easier to park and had some great coastal walks with spectacular views.

Overall I thought that this site was excellent, only let down by the price compared to our caravan neighbours with huge awnings, who could stay cheaper! I thought this was unfair, but the lady at reception commented that tents damage the grass due to their ground sheets; hence the reason for the price hike. All literature suggests that ground sheets within awnings are not permitted, however, I did not see any caravan abiding to this rule, nor did I see it being enforced. The caravan pitches ended up worse than those people with tents. That point aside, the site was great for the kids, and the swimming pool was great, although I think that this facility should be included in the overall price, common with other camp sites in the area. The takeaway was excellent, as was the shop. Other than the slight discrimination towards tents, this site rates very highly.

First class site with very helpful staff. All the facilities you could need on the site, shop, bars, caravan sales and accessories shop. Plenty to do within the area, good beaches and loads for children to do.

Toilets cleanish in the older blocks to excellent in the newer blocks. Short course golf, Horse riding and a petorama.

So good I stored the van for the rest of the year and maybe next year.

We have just returned from a few days in Stowford Meadows Park and have to say this is quite honestly the best site we have ever stayed in.

We arrived quite late and to rain but the people in reception were very helpful giving a map and directions to the pitch(It was not much fun pitching a tent in the dark with 3 kids waiting in the car but hey ho part of the fun of camping eh)

The shower/toilet facilities were really spacious I only saw queues for the showers once and even thought the site had seen a lot of rain the floor was never dirty. The site has one large shower/toilet block for each of the the 5 fields the showers are motion detected so once you press that button they don't switch off unless you stop moving much better than having to press the button every 5 seconds

The facilities on site were really good with several parks for the kids to play and one in the process of being built the pool petorama horse riding and crazy golf were all pay separately but were not very expensive. The site shop was well stocked and sold everything you could need and more

The towns and villages were really pretty and well worth a visit. The beaches are amazing and we here in anglesey are used to good beaches

We paid £43 per night for 5 of us plus a pup tent but event though that was more than we are used to paying I have to say that Stowford meadow farm have a new customer and we will be returning next year
