This site is a wonderful campsite, the best we have ever used. No wonder it has recently been voted the national campsite of the year by readers of Practical Caravan. The staff cannot do enough for you and even tow your caravan to your pitch, park it and level it. There are all the facilities close at hand and can only be described as luxurious. The site is maintained to a very high standard with flowers everywhere. It is a very dog friendly site to two fenced off areas where they can run free off the lead and if we fancied having an on-site meal at the restaurant we could eat in the conservatory where dogs are allowed as well. Every night we sat in our awning watching the sun set over Dartmoor. Heaven.
We will definitely return, in fact we have already booked for next year.

A wonderful site. A warm welcome, wonderful facilities and an on site bar and restaurant which doesn't have rip-off prices. The shower facilities are spotless and are more wet-rooms than kiosks.
If you have a dog, this site is superb. Two enclosed fields where you can let the dog off the lead to run free and a dog grooming kiosk where you can give them a wash. A perfect base to explore Devon. We will definitely be back to Ross Park!

Very floral site, with nicely kept hardstanding pitches.
Have your unit towed onto your pitch and levelled.
Nice little shop with availability to order newspaper.
Plenty of shower rooms to choose from.
Nice small bar at very reasonable prices.
Quiet relaxing site.
Play area for children has no swings.
Cycling area limited to cycling on a grass field only.
Have to book 'well in advance' if you wish to eat in restaurant.
Entertainment in bar area could be improved to encourage more people, bbq & singer/bingo night not really enough to encourage trade.
Noise from road during night.

Ross Park is all the reviews claim it to be. From the time you arrive and have your van sited for you until you leave nothing seems to be too much trouble.
The park is beautifully kept, there are flowers everywhere and everything is very 'manicured', also no annoying notices or rules everywhere as there are at some sites. The loos and showers are very very nice. They are always clean, and are individual wet rooms.
The site was full when we arrived but never seemed as if it was as the pitches are large. There is a restaurant which is very popular and tropical conservatory where you can have a drink or coffee.
The locality is perfect for a holiday as it is very easy to visit many places, with Torquay, Dartmouth, Paignton etc nearby and even Plymouth only about 40 minutes. You could not fail to be impressed by this Park.

This site is out of this world. I would highly recommend everyone goes here at least once. The toilet and shower block's were the cleanest I have been in and were always available. If you are a dog owner as we are they will love it too as the dog walking area is also brilliant and you can even let your dog run free as the area is fenced off. When we arrived our van was also towed onto the pitch and levelled for us making the holiday start very smoothly.
The only negative I can think of was that we only went for a week, next year we will be making it a fortnight.

This site is immaculately clean, and great care has been taken to welcome you from the minute you arrive. Attention to detail seems top priority. Everything is spotlessly clean, with plants and flowers everywhere. We were camping and had the Leisure field (with electric hook up) all to ourselves.
The bar, restaurant were reasonably priced £4.50 for a glass of wine and a pint of lager. The conservatory is full of lovely plants, and dogs are allowed in. We ate on the last night, and the food was wonderful.
The showers, toilets etc were modern and plentiful, all Free.
All in all a great site, which we will definitely visit again.

We arrived at Ross Park to be greeted by very pleasant staff who made us feel right at home, they even towed our van to our pitch, sited and levelled it for us.
We found all the facilities to be spotlessly clean and tidy. The on site dog walk area is the best we have ever seen, lots of space for our four legged friends to run around in,even has a doggie shower area!
The restaurant and bar was a good place to eat and have a relaxing drink. They also did an excellent Sunday lunch, which you could hsve in the restaurant or in the conservatory.
Off site the surrounding area has plenty of nice villages to visit. Newton Abbot is just a short drive away, where you can find a range of shops and supermarkets for your essentials.

Ross park is one of the best sites we've ever been on. Went for 1st time in 2009 then in 2010 and going for 2 weeks in 2011. Owners so friendly and helpful. Dog friendly, dog shower. Massive dog area. Our dog Jasper, a black lab, was welcomed by the owner. Excellent pitches and facilities. Made some nice friends who go back year after year. The restaurant is excellent, 1st class food, eating in the conservatory with our dog was so relaxing. The surrounding area has so much to do, Totnes to Dartmouth via bus, boat, steam train, a must. The Dartmoor ponies running loose nice to see while driving through

Second time here and still immaculate in every way as others have commented. Walked to Ipplepen as previous post, quite quaint really, the Wellington pub does food and real ales straight out the barrel, there is a conservative club too (formally The Plough) where temporary membership can be obtained easily and good value beer, paid £2.40 for a pint of their real ale.
Bus stop down the road, buses every half hour to Newton Abbot or Totnes. Lot of birdlife in their large consevation area and paid £37.50 for two nights for two with ehu.

Just back from this site and could not wait to comment on how good it was.
First of all, the pitches are much better than they appear in the brochure. Very spacious and very tidy. Mark even towed our van into position for us. Sunday was our first day there and in the evening there was a barbecue, which was very well organised. Also evening entertainment, in the form of a singer, which made for a good first night.
Shower blocks were immaculate and cleaned daily, I think maybe more than once a day. Even though the site was full we didn't have to wait for a shower.
Large laundry room with free ironing. A large bright dish-washing room, with a large chest freezer, handy for our ice packs.
Play room for the kids, also two table tennis tables. Childrens outdoor play area and badminton/volley ball net and loads of grass for football kite flying etc.
Our favourite part was the lovely restaurant with adjoining conservatory. You could sit and relax over a cup of coffee [free refills] and admire all the lovely greenery. My ten year old son particularly enjoyed the bingo evening, held on the Thursday, especially as he won!
There are loads of things to see and do in the surrounding areas, all within easy reach. We didn't have time to see everything we wanted to and so have not hesitated in booking up for August. Helen even let us book which pitch we wanted.
This site is the best we have ever stayed on and I can't recommend it enough, nothing was too much trouble. Everyone should pay Ross Park a visit, they won't be disappointed!
