Our second visit to Ross Park and again we were not disappointed. After a terrible journey we received a friendly greeting and were shown to our pitch. Mark, the owner helped site and level our van - a lovely touch.

The landscaping on this site is outstanding - wherever you look the flowerbeds and baskets are well tendered, grass kept short and even the gravel paths and roadways raked regularly. Pitches are well spaced, mostly hardstanding and most with privacy hedging between them.

Rubbish collected every day, plenty of bins and excellent recycling facilities.

Showers are lovely - particularly those in the 'shower rooms' - with toilet, basin and shower facilities, but these are popular so queues at peak times in the summer. All shower and toilet facilities always are very clean.

Restaurant good but need to book for Saturday nights - we missed out as we arrived later than hoped. The BBQ on Sundays in the summer is good and popular too. Bar prices very reasonable.

Games room well equipped - table tennis, pool table, games machines, TV room. Games field set aside from touring pitches (so no disturbance)for football, badminton etc. And adventure playground too. Snooker room available.

Shop well stocked and you can order papers if you wish.

Conservation area and nature walks are lovely.

Overall this site cannot be faulted. Mark and Helen obviously love their site and this lifestyle to bits and go out of their way to ensure that people enjoy their stay at Ross Park and experience the best. Truly a gem!

A truly excellent park. Mark & Helen really know how to please!

An absolutely immaculate park, clean, tidy and excellent.

The conservatory restaurant was simply delicious and very tasty!

The dog walking area is great and had ample space for exercising your dog.

Didn't use the showers or laundrette however toilets were immaculate.

Within walking distance there is a texaco garage with a spar shop attached. If you did bring your bike then there aren't many bike rides near by however if you want to use your bike then as you come out of the park turn left then take your first right I think and you will end up in ipplepen and there can be found a co-op etc and a pub.

Overall the park is truly excellent and I can find no faults and we have booked another holiday for may 2010!

As described excellent / outstanding site, very good facilities, fantastic flowers / borders and friendly staff. Camping field is lovely ( where we stayed) only small downside, a little walk from the toilets. As far as pub, the on site facility looked lovely but we did not try it out. I can recommend the Pig and Whistle, about 4 miles away on the road to Totnes ( right hand side ) excellent quality food and ales at good prices.

Overall, excellent for families play park and play field superb.

Will be back!

Very clean site with exceptionally clean toilets and showers, (very busy in mornings even early). Beautiful surroundings, glorious flowers. Some pitches on slants and was unable, even with levelling equipment, to get it straight. Large children's playground, although when we used it the grass was being cut on a large ride on mower and even though children were playing on field the chap did not stop. Entertainment more suited to older children and adults, we found not really suitable for our young family. Traffic was dreadful to get to any beach and a 10 mile trip would take over an hour stuck in traffic.

Ross Park is we feel one of the best UK sites we have every stayed at. We have been camping and caravanning for 27 years as a couple so have experienced many sites. All the staff are very pleasant and welcoming, the facilities are clean and the whole site is maintained daily by the owners and their staff.
The Restaurant is such a welcome bonus, the food quality and choice was excellent and extremely good value, and what made it even more enjoyable we had a table in the lovely exotic conservatory attached to the restaurant where are dogs were able to join us.
The location is great for touring south Devon. If you have not stayed here before, book now you will have a fabulous time.

This is one of the finest examples of how a touring park should be laid out and managed. Pitches are hard standing or grass. Electric hook up or fully serviced. A small shop with main essentials which can be bought on trust if no staff available. Help is offered to tow touring vans on to site if required, but is not intrusive.
Beautiful toilet and shower facilities kept amazingly clean. Very dog friendly with good walks, free poo bags and even a shower for them. Good kiddies play area which is away from pitches so that the kids can scream and shout without parents worrying that they are too noisy. Conservatory where you can enjoy a drink and take the dog if you wish. The restaurant was not used by us, but looked good with good menu at reasonable prices. It was a pleasure to stay here

This is most definitely the best campsite we have visited yet. We are relatively new to camping, only starting last year, but we've visited 8 campsites and this one is outstanding. The site is dead-easy to get to, the only thing was we missed the turn-off of the main road, which meant a lot of reversing and holding up the traffic in Ipplepen.

Fantastic welcome, the owners couldn't do enough for us. Lovely laid out spacious pitches, lots of family shower rooms and things for the kids to do - playground, table tennis, soft skittles and a big recreation field too for bike riding or games of cricket. The only negative is that there was only one family bathroom with baby changing facilities, which we felt should have key or number pad access only. We ate in the restaurant one evening and the food and the service were really excellent and you can take your dogs into the conversatory area.

It's such a dog-friendly site too and we took advantage of the dog shower facilities before we came home. All in all a great site with easy access - we can't recommend it enough really.

Just returned from a weeks stay here and have to say it's a fantastic site, the pitches vary between all grass, all hardstanding and hardstanding for your van/awning with grass around it.

The pitches are surrounded by hedges and shrubs which are enough to maintain privacy but not so big as to make the pitches dark.

The owners are very friendly and welcoming and even take your van and pitch it for you.

The toilet and shower facilities are spotless and they have a mix of just toilets, just showers and some have a toilet, basin, shower and shaver point in which is extremely handy, they also all have a pull down seat in the shower for disabled visitors.

We didn't go into the bar/restaurant but it looked lovely and any meal can be prepared for takeaway. They have a conservatory full of tropical plants where the dogs are also allowed into. There is a small games room with pool table and about 5 arcade machines, a snooker room, laundry, skittles alley and table tennis.

It seems they actually welcome dogs as opposed to just accept them, the dog walk is fantastic, very large and they can run free. They even provide poo bags and a boot cleaner! There is a doggy shower room which also has brushes and a dryer in.

There is a small shop on site which sells the basics but for a bigger choice there is a Texaco garage and Spar shop over the road. Totnes and Newton Abbot are about 5 miles away which have an Asda and Morrisons.

The area is very pretty and you are not far from Paignton and Torquay however the majority of the beaches either don't allow dogs at all or no dogs between May-September. A couple of beaches which do allow dogs are Slapton Sands and Bee Sands which are about 30-40 minutes drive away but well worth it as they're large and quiet.

You could easily spend your holidays on this site and never need to leave it. We'll definitely be back.

It has been 4 years since we stayed here, and thought we would visit again. We took our little grandson for the first time and he thoroughly enjoyed it, good play area for them too.
We had forgotten how lovely this site is. Very clean facilities, well kept grounds, excellent restaurant, friendly owners, good dog walks and shower for the dogs too,
Excellent spacious pitches giving lots of privacy, Overall I would say a 5 star site, no faults at all, sit outside your van and watch the wildlife . We will be back again.

What a really lovely, and friendly site this is. The pitches are all a good size, and most are separated by beautiful tropical plants, and hedges. The facilities are spotless, I used one of the full bathrooms all heated which was appreciated on cool October mornings. Sat night a charity evening was held for the local children's hospice, everyone made us most welcome, and we had a delicious buffet, I even won a litre bottle of gin, will soon crack that open!

The dog meadow was plenty big enough for the pyrenean, who also made lots of doggy friends, and there are lots of other walks for dogs on the site.

The conservatory, where you can take your dog into, is lovely for a drink at night

Torquay is about 20 minutes away, and a good day out, unfortunately that's all we did as we had to leave 2 nights early as the car was playing up, and we ended up being towed home from Tewkesbury after the head gasket blew.

Helen, and Mark are brilliant hosts, and run a superb site. 10/10
