Ross Park is just a wonderful site. In the spring all the flowers are out and when the daffodils are out it is a wonderful site just to take Spencer our Greyhound for a walk. Otherwise take him to one of the two very large dog walks and let him chase rabbits. The Amenities are wonderful and so clean. Toilets, Showers with loads of hot water and the conservatory is great either for a meal of a drink, and yes (unless you go into the restaurant) you can take your dog with you. Just one problem it is very booked up in the height of the season.
Otherwise just try phoning and go. You will not regret it!

We arrived at Ross Park for a week's stay and were very pleased to be relieved of our caravan upon arrival and have it towed away and put on our designated pitch. The pitch was slightly sloping however the van was levelled quickly and efficiently for us. The staff at Ross Park could not do enough. As it had rained continuously in the weeks preceding our visit the grass pitches were very wet. Within ten minutes of our arrival somebody had arrived with a roll of thick polythene which was cut to size and given to us to lay under our breathable groundsheet. Without this intervention I think we probably would have not been able to use our groundsheet again. The park was very well laid out with many areas to dispose of rubbish and spotless waste water / disposal areas. It was notable that staff were always out and about mowing the grass, emptying bins, raking the gravel pitches as soon as they were vacated etc. It was very nice to have radiators in the individual bathrooms, which were spacious. I noticed that there was a little baby bath in one of the bathrooms with baby changing facilities etc. We didn't use the restaurant however other campers told us that they had and it was very reasonable price wise and that they had really enjoyed their meal. There is also a very nice lounge area to sit and read and have a coffee. A lovely park and an ideal location for touring Devon, Teignmouth was particularly nice. A highly recommended site. Thanks Ross Park!

I booked to stay at Ross Park based on the recommendations on this site, I was not disappointed. We camped on the leisure field which is great. Flat pitches, bags of space, perfect for children to run around and play.
Toilets, showers and washing up facilities are excellent.
Although we did not use the restaurant we did the visit the bar most evenings to take a break from the tent. We found it extremely reasonably priced. My kids loved the board games / card games in the bar area which meant we could have some family fun.
The table tennis tables, games room and skittles alley were also enjoyed by my children.
All in all in great site, we hope to return.

Having just returned from a 5 day visit to Ross Park, I felt I had to submit a write up on this site. It was just perfect in every way. The West Country has been particularly wet this year and the site has suffered water damage to some pitches. The owners Mark & Helen just couldn't do enough to try and make the best of a bad situation. The site is immaculate in all aspects. Not one bit of litter to be found, the toilets, showers and other communal facilities are well cared for and despite being really busy, they were all spotless. The floral arrangements on the part are beautiful. We have already booked a weekend in September and 2 weeks for next year. I would highly recommend this site to everyone, young or old.

As all the others have said about this site it is superb very clean and the owners are very friendly. We stayed for a week but didn't want to go home. As for the dogs they loved it even the dog shower. We are going back and would recommend it to anyone who like us are dog lovers. Cant really say any more as everyone that has been here as said it before

This site was recommended to us and what a lovely site it is. It's everything it says it is on their website. The park is kept immaculate with grass, gravel, flower beds and hedges tended to on a daily basis. Staff are very friendly and very helpful. Whilst most of the caravans around us had dogs you never heard them. The facilities are second to none, with even a dog shower/dryer room. The toilets and showers were immaculate with plenty of hot water. There is a large leisure field containing 3 activity centres to keep the children amused and there are also various undercover activities. There are plenty of walks around the park for those leisurely strolls and plenty of places not too far away from the site to visit. I can't comment on the site shop as we did not use it but we did order our daily paper with reception.

First time camper in my new VW campervan - and I cannot give high enough praise to everyone at Ross Park.
A lovely level pitch, water and power onsite, excellent value for money, superbly clean washrooms, delicious food in the onsite restaurant. The next park we planned to stay in was such a disappointment in comparison that we called Ross Park and asked to come back. They managed to squeeze us in, thankfully, and we stayed for another night!
Top campsite in my opinion, and a hidden gem in Devon!

A really lovely site with attractive pitches, most of which have hedges on 3 sides. Lovely mix of trees, flowers and hedging plants all around the park and a huge landscaped field for you to wander round at your leisure. Toilet facilities and showers are first class, nice restaurant where we ate Sunday lunch, a small shop stocking essentials and a tourist info room. Lots of places to sit on benches and take in the views from various areas on the site. There is a small amount of road noise but not enough to spoil your visit. Would highly recommend, especially if you are after peace and quiet in an attractive setting. Cockington nearby is well worth a visit with beautiful buildings, large gardens and lots of craft shops stocking some unique items. Bygones Victorian village is worth a visit, especially in poor weather, and is very similar to the Victorian Village in Flambards Cornwall. Babbacombe model village is also nearby although we did not visit this.

Have just returned from a four night stay at Ross Park and we absolutely loved this site! After a very wet journey we received a warm welcome and were shown to our pitch. What first struck us was the beautiful landscaping. Each pitch has its own hedged border giving the sense of privacy. Our grass pitch had a slight slope but not a problem.
Toilet and shower blocks were always spotless - ample hot water, choice of basin cubicles or shower room with toilet and basin too -large enough for children with you if needed - even radiators taking the morning chill of the air - lovely!
Ample facilities for the children too, with a large outdoor climbing frame area, set aside from the main pitch area so no-one would be disturbed. Also undercover table tennis and poole faciliites, together with a small TV room. Washing-up room was fabulous and housed a large freezer for everyone's shared use.
The restaurant was splendid - varied and reasonably priced menu, and the attached conservatory area made a beatuiful setting. Bar was comfortable with games and books to borrow.
A break in the wet weather meant we had the chance to experience the conservation walk area the owners have created - this was lovely with some super views. Our children were so taken with the facilities for dogs including the smartest doggie shower and dryer! that they wanted to borrow a neighbouring pet just for the experience!
Site has a small shop with all requirements covered and you can order daily papers. Everything has been thought of at this site by the friendly owners Mark and Helen and we could not fault it - it's just a shame for us that it's just a liitle too far from home for a quick weekend visit. Will definitely revisit as this one is a true gem - Thankyou all at Ross Park!

Definitely a five star site. We did not actually stay here but just visited friends who were staying in a motorhome (they thought it was fantastic). The grounds were manicured, the pitches looked spacious, the toilets were clean & modern and the site was well lit at night. The food in the restaurant was good and the conservatory looked like a wonderful place to relax. This would be our first choice when next in the area.
