Well what a find !, this site was simply the best site we have come across in 15 years of camping and caravaning. On arrival our van was sited by the owner for us on a well screened pitch with water and electric. The site itself is immaculate well trimmed grass, a huge dog walking area, a massive field for the kids to run around in and a decent kids adventure playground. The toilets and shower facilities were spotless whatever time you used them. The site was quiet and well managed. For the first time ever we will be back going back to the same site twice. I can't recommend it enough.Steve and Sara.

This has to be one of the best parks in the country . From the moment you arrive you cannot fail to be impressed by the cleanliness of the park and the helpfulness of it's staff , nothing is too much trouble . On arrival you are shown to your pitch and your caravan is sited for you , pitches are mostly divided by small hedges and both grass and hard standing are available, most have there own water supply . The toilet and showers consist of a number of self contained cubicles with shower, toilet and washbasin and a number of more conventional type shower cubicles all are immaculately clean. The park has a small restaurant and bar which serves food each evening except Tuesday and a Sunday lunch second to none in the area , all are reasonably priced. Children are catered for with a wonderful play area and for older kid's there are table tennis tables , a pool table and a room with video games and TV . The park has views of Dartmoor and a walk around the park with it's conservation areas and beautiful flower displays is a treat in itself . Four legged friends are welcome indeed it is a doggy heaven with a dog walk that has to be seen to be believed and even their own shower! . Open from March through until Christmas and New Year this park is worth a visit at any time of the year .

Just came back after having 4 glorious days. Just driving in for the first time was remarkable. The pitches were immaculate. The toilet/shower facilities were the best we have ever encountered. It is beautiful, flowers and well manicured lawns everywhere. We cannot praise this site enough. We will surely be going back again and again. It is UTOPIA for everyone.

We visited Ross Park for 10 days in July. What a lovely site some of the pitches are separated by hedges, and are of good size and very private we had one of these so if you like you privacy request one of these pitches.
The showers are very clean like a row of stables. It has on site restaurant which has lovely food, it also has a take away service at ok prices. The site has one of the best dog walk ares we have been on, it even has a dog shower! The staff are very friendly and helpful. We would definately revisit this site again.

This place is a real find! The pitches are extremely generous in size. The staff are very helpful, nothing is too much trouble, even my little accident with the water tap, thanks again Mark. The views are spectacular, as are the facilities. It was so nice to stroll down every morning to collect my newspaper, to many cheery hello's.
The BBQ night on Sunday is a great success, there was bingo too. Just off the site there are two excellent farms shops to buy from, and Sainsburys is only a short drive away in Newton Abbott.
Shower facilities were second to none as were the laundry and washing up area, they even have a dog shower! We will definitely be booking again

Having just enjoyed 2 weeks at Ross Park I can only echo everything said by the previous reviewer. This is a site without parallel. The flower displays around the site would grace any country home. The facilities are outstanding in every respect. The pitches are spacious but private. The bar and restaurant are cosy and just the right size and both very well priced. Most of the people around us had been coming to Ross Park for years and you can see why. If you get the chance to stay here you will be overjoyed with the result. A top site in every way. Well done to Helen and Mark.

August 99 & August 00 We're not too sure that we should be doing this, as Ross Park is our favourite site in the UK, and we don't want everyone to know our secret. OK, so we've never been on all the sites in the UK, or intend to, but we've been on a few over the last few years & this beats them all. When we first stayed there in '99, we we're unsure if the local competition might be as good or better. So we travelled round the other sites for a couple of days, around the South Devon area, and found none to match the tranquility or relaxing atmosphere of Ross Park.
Our pitch is bordered on three sides by a hedge, palm trees & some amazing plants that I'd only expect to see in the bahamas. The walk to showers of a morning is a delight in itself. Even on a dull, overcast & moody british summer morning - are there any other types nowadays in August ? - the blast of colours & aromas that greet you as you gently weave along the assuredly soft crunching gravel path to the showers makes the day blossom before you. The richly vibrant & varied plant-life in the conservatory helps whisk you away from a typical caravan holiday in Devon to a world away from the stresses of everyday life. And it's made all the more special by the delights of food that can be consumed within this faraway tropical world.
But why has this park won so many accolades, from Calor & AA's top park, to the top rating of 5 pennants, 5 stars & David Belamy's Gold medal ? It could be due to the fact that the caravans only cover about a third of the land available. Even though the pitches are huge, there are vast areas of mowed field. The play area is huge, with equipment that satisfies kids both young & not so young. There's even a seperate shower block for your dog, which is a superb touch, and that's from a family that loves cats !!! But I think it's the fact that the staff, from the receptionist to the owners, think of only one thing - you.
From the moment you arrive, and they guide you into your pitch and level you up, while you sit in your car and follow their driving directions, down to the cheery hello and a gentlemanly nod from Mark, the owner, as he gently neatens up the grass around the site. And if by now you're thinking that we're just stuck up snobs, then try the regular sunday summer night square-dance to help side-step your holiday to another level. By the way, we're going back there this year, because it feels like we're going home.
