Just returned from Ross Park site in Devon worthy of it's 5 Star rating. Beautiful site well maintained with flowers adding to the beauty of the site which has won many awards.
Waiting for us when we arrived and even offered to tow us to our pitch. Ideally located to visit Paignton, Totnes, Brixham etc a well maintained park with bar and restaurant on site. Well stocked shop and information booth. Immaculate and spacious showers and even a shower for your doggie companion perfect. Best site we have visited in 8 years only needs a swimming pool and would score 10/10. Forget the rest this is the best.
Will definitely be returning again.

Currently sadly coming to the end of a fabulous weeks stay at this glorious site. In fact our fourth visit.
We love this site. The pitches are large and mostly have privacy hedges, the wash/shower facilities are well equipped and always spotless, the reasonably priced restaurant serves a lovely selection with generous portions. You may need to book to avoid disappointment. The grounds are well tendered with beautiful floral displays which all add to the sites ambience.
The atmosphere is very friendly from the owners, staff and other visitors. A lovely gesture is the offer of pitching and levelling of your unit arrival. Less hassle!
It is well positioned for visiting Dartmouth area, Torquay, Exeter and Dartmoor etc.
We can thoroughly recommend this site.

It was the first time I'd visited the site since 1992 and I cannot recognise the place.
First impressions count and the offer of pitching your caravan for you and getting it level was a big help.
The pitches are lovely and well separated, everything seems so well kept.
The showers are brilliant, lots of hot water and if they are busy you do not have to wait long even at busy times.
The staff were brilliant, Mark and Helen cannot do enough for you.
We have booked again for next year and to be honest we can wait.
The site is very well placed for Dartmoor, Torquay, Paignton and Dartmouth.
The Site does have a restaurant I didn't try the food but what I saw coming out looked very good and the prices were very reasonable.
The playground is basic but kept my 2 and 6 year old happy for a good number of hours, and my dog loved the dog walks which are as well kept as the rest of the site.

The facilities on this site are outstanding. They even stretch to a solar powered dog shower - we didn't use this as we have no dog! There is a very tasteful bar and restaurant and a shop with all the basics. The attention to detail is impressive. The grounds are immaculate: hanging baskets everywhere, walks in their conservation area, a herb garden. We were met at the entrance and a service provided to park our caravan. The pitches for caravans are a combination of gravel and grass - ideal if it's wet - and provide plenty of space. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The site is very close to the village of Ipplepen with lots of attractions - beaches, Dartmoor and National Trust houses - close by.

This park well and truly deserves its ten star rating(and more)I was very impressed from the moment I arrived to the moment I left. At the reception, the owner offered to site and level my van, 10/10 for that, most of the flowers were in bloom and looking/smelling lovely, and the park was very clean and tidy with bins positioned at regular places.
The toilet/shower blocks were kept immaculate, integrated shower, toilet, sinks, were a clever touch.
Fields and plenty of dog walks on site, also a shower for the dogs, I could go on but I think you would be best to see the website, once booked you receive a booklet and lots of information, so all in all, a great big thank you to everyone at Ross Park, and hopefully I will be back in November

A fantastic site with everything that makes a great place to stay - large private pitches that are well screened from neighbours, bar and restaurant on site, large private washrooms with sink, loo and shower in one 'cubicle'.
Would recommend to book ahead if you want to eat in the restaurant - we arrived on Tuesday and got the last table for the Thursday night - always a good sign and we weren't disappointed!
We would definitely return and would recommend anyone to go here - if only all sites were this good!

Nearest shops are in Newton Abbott (Asda and Tesco (opposite racecourse). Have been to Ross Park in the past and loved it. Have always been to France and me and OH have decided to visit places in this country, so we went to Ross Park. Took our cat, Timber (the mainecoon), who made many friends. All he wanted to do was chase the rabbits, but we had him on his harness, so we didn't have any unwanted pressies. The site staff keeps the site in perfect condition. Would be nice if there was a swimming pool. Restaurant was nice, visited the bar a few times. Was great when we arrived the chap on the tractor, disconnected us, and he took it and sited it for us. Perfect. Done in about 10 mins, whereas it would have taken us at least half an hour:)

Wow, this site has gone straight into our top 5 camp sites.
Friendly welcome by Helen, even though we arrived after the reception closed. We had a huge fully serviced hard standing pitch, with shrubs and plants around the sides for privacy.
Amazing dog walk, we have an elderly dog and he loved it, one huge area for off lead walks and more areas for on lead walks, also a doggie shower if needed. Plenty of waste bins & bags as well.
Lovely restaurant and tropical conservatory for meals with your dog, we had two very nice meals whilst staying, plenty of choice and good value for money.
We walked down the lanes to Ipplepen village and had some lunch at the Wellington pub, not the best baguettes weve ever had, but dog & people friendly.
Lovely wet rooms, always clean. Lots of flower beds make the site look so pretty.
Shame the nearby garden centre does not allow dogs inside.
Good TV & mobile phone signal.
We will definitely be back.
Just one thing which is not the sites fault, why do people insist on arriving at 11am when it clearly says not before 12? This meant 2 caravans were trying to come in, whilst a caravan & our motorhome where trying to leave. Rules like this are for a reason!

Arrived Saturday afternoon site full notice up just turning to go away when Helen the owners wife came out of reception to see if she could help there was one pitch that had left a day early and I could have that one and as I wanted to stay 2 nights she could arrange that but I would have to change pitch which wasn't a problem didn't realise the restaurant was so popular fully booked sat and sunday so I had to make do and get a bit of shopping no probs
The site is immaculate as are the facilities and the amount of space given over for conservation was huge and well attended to by wildlife
In short I will be returning quite often in the future and the people I was talking to had been coming there several times a year for many years and I was made to feel welcome both by the staff and other campers which is what in my mind makes for a good site

Just had a wonderful week at Ross Park and I can only echo in what other people have stated on this site, we have caravanned for over 25 years and this has to be one of the best sites if not the best we have been on.
The local tourist places like Dartmouth, Brixham, Totnes, Babbacoombe, Torquay, Paignton are all within a 30 min drive, and a must is the to go off the beaten track up the narrow lanes which go on for miles and miles but worth it.
Toilets, pitches, the grounds, the staff, the area, and even the dogs are very well cared for its unbelievable what the site offers you, it is so quite all day and night and so well run.
The on site bar and restaurant is tops and even managed to have a game of snooker in the private room, I could go on and on but believe me try it you wont be disappointed, my only gripe would be that it is a 4 hours drive away.
Would we go back yes we would without doubt.
