Like every other review. Wow what a site, why haven't I stayed here before?
There is a small shop with both food and camping bits.
Wet rooms to die for, why can't every site do this?
Plot could have been a little bigger and hard standing was VERY hard.
Absolutely beautiful grounds, loved the beech hedging and planting, very well kept.
Good dog walks and doggy shower and playing field with a few climbing frames in for the kids.
Did think restaurant was a bit pricey, but felt they were missing a trick here as it wasn't open until the Wednesday evening when we were there. Arrived on the Sunday hoping to have a meal and then had to go and search for takeaway.
Well placed for visiting surrounding area, will be going back as couldn't fit it all in a week.
Wow, wow, wow, but don't tell anybody otherwise we won't be able to get booked.

Our first visit and we were amazed and delighted with just how good this caravan park is. Excellent, spotlessly clean facilities - the wet rooms / loos etc are superb! - great restaurant serving very good food - comfortable reading / library area / conservatory to relax in - beautiful pitches maintained to very high standard - tourist info room - games rooms/area - the best doggie friendly place ever (including doggie shower with great facilities / hot water!) with wonderful dog walking areas (parks actually) - and even a large, comfortable laundry room to make life easy and a well-stocked shop for just about all your needs! The owners have thought of everything and work endlessly to maintain the very high standards that you will enjoy when you visit. Everyone is very friendly and helpful from the moment you arrive to when you sadly have to leave. All this and more - beautiful flowers/shrubs around the pitches and park and simply one of the best views you could wish to wake up to - and all with conservation in mind. Other caravan parks may well warrant 10/10, but Ross Park exceeds that by a country mile. Mark and Helen (the owners) lead by example and deserve every award going. Thank you all at Ross Park for a brilliant stay - hope to see you all again soon.

Well what can I say about this site. It's perfect!
And a true dog friendly site and spotlessly clean throughout.
The Shower facilities are second to none as are the toilet blocks, washing up room, laundry and games rooms. We didn't eat in the restaurant, but had a take away meal from there, which was bought to us on covered plates on a tray. The food was great!
The shop has everything you may need.
We don't have kids, but the huge leisure field and play area looked fun and again very clean.
The dog walks are super, especially the area in which the dogs can run free off lead. It is secure and well kept.
There is a bus stop a very short distance from the site if you don't want to drive. A convenience store and garage are a 2 minute walk away from the site. There is a Garden centre in which there is a butchers and a farm shop and pet shop about a 3 minute drive away. And a great pub in Ipplepen village called The Wellington which also does good food, is dog friendly and with lovely staff.
All in all, Ross Park is definitely a site we will put on our favourites list. It is so peaceful, spotlessly clean and obviously very much loved and cared for by Mark and Helen and their staff.

Stayed on this site in April 2013 for 3 nights, while touring Devon and Cornwall. Wish we could have stayed longer. Site extremely well run, with immaculate toilet and shower facilities. Restaurant and bar on site, with dine in or take away facility. Well stocked shop on site. Well located for touring the local area. Newton Abbot and Torquay. Weather not too good while we were there, but this did not spoil our enjoyment of the site. Will definitely return to this site when in the area.

Easy to find and warm welcome, couldn't ask for more than 'do you want to unhook your caravan and we will take it to your pitch' along with 'don't worry about the money now get yourselves set up and then come and pay. '
The pitch was with its own tap and electric hook up but sadly no grey waste disposal on pitch. There were a lot of fully serviced pitches which included the permanent connection of water and waste water. So maybe next time.
Pitch of good size but did seem to share a fairly common characteristic of sloping noticeably front to rear and left to right. There seemed to be roughly a 40% chance of a sloping pitch.
If I was staying for any period of time would have asked for as level a pitch as possible. However for the money i. E. Under £40 for two nights for a family of four I thought this was good value as did the rest of the campers as the site seemed full!
The shower facilities were excellent simply superb! We did not have any waiting time for the showers
Did not use the restaurant/take away but seemed very popular.
The play area was fine for children probably up to 12 yrs old. The green expanse next to it was huge and could easily contain parents world cup football. Not to mention the dog shower. The dog off lead walk area and the dog on lead walk area.
All in all I was very impressed no wonder the site have won so many awards over the years.

Excellent site, immaculately presented with generous pitch sizes. Dog facilities are excellent with 2 off lead areas and an on lead conservation field to use also. Huge leisure field for kite flying etc. Also has a free indoor hot water doggy shower with ramp, shampoo and dryer. Staff so helpful and friendly. Plants and shrubbery are amazing and hard standing is proper gravel not the sharp limestone you get on some sites! Shower block is fantastic with walk in shower, heated floors and a huge family room with changing table and wall mounted child seat. Children's play park is clean and fresh with bark flooring. Would definitely return, you would struggle to find another site as good as this!

Recently spent a week at this site, on arrival we were met by the owner who towed our van to our pitch and levelled it up with so much ease. The site is laid out exceptionally well, so clean. Nothing is to much trouble, I had a flat battery on my car, owner tried to jump start me with his tractor but to no avail, he lent me his battery charger and even connected it up and left it with me for a few hours. There`s free wi-fi which is good. We would definitely go back again, even the dog liked it, a very pleasant site all round

Wow wow wow! We are not at all surprised that Ross Park was voted best overall campsite in 2012. We had been trying to book a pitch for 18 months and finally bingo - and boy was it worth the wait!
On arrival, we were met and booked in by owner and shown to our pitch. On booking we were told that we could only have that pitch for 1 night and then move to a different pitch for our 2nd night which was not a problem - they were packed and we now know why! Large hardstanding pitches, many individual with EHU and some have water and waste (both pitches we were on did). It was certainly no hassle moving pitch the next morning as we were told when it was ready for us and offered help if we needed it.
There are plenty of individual shower rooms (each with toilet, sink and shower) and some other separate toilets all based around a central area - there is also another small toilet block nearby - all of which were spotless at all times. The 'flower walk' from our first pitch to the toilet block was wonderful and even lit up at night!
There are plenty of bins dotted around the site most of which have chemical disposal points too - all complete with sinks, soap and hand towels.
The bar/restaurant is a delight. There's a 'tropical conservatory' (that allows dogs) where evening meals are served, along with the restaurant and an upstairs bar area. Meals were good quality and plentiful (and not over priced)and the staff were polite and friendly. They even do some early bird specials (we had a roast beef dinner with pudding for £8. 10 on evening - bargain!). You can sit in the conservatory area at any time of the day and relax with a coffee (self service) with payment via an honesty box.
The shop was well equipped and catered for your every need and daily papers could be pre-ordered and collected the next morning (no delivery charge).
Free wi-fi on the site was a nice touch - wish more sites would include it in their 'fees'.
There's a large garden centre a short stroll away. Don't take your life in your hands and walk along the main road though! The owner directed us up the lane, down a farm track and onto a public footpath to the rear entrance of the garden centre. Loads of local produce on offer, we bought some great chutney - cider chutney - yummy!
The most important member of the family (the dog) was extremely well catered for (in fact I'd say best doggie friendly campsite ever!). Plenty of gorgeous dog walks with views of both Dartmoor and Ipplepen. They can be let off the lead if necessary in more than one area too. There are poo bins everywhere with free bags so no excuses not to scoop the poop! They even had a purpose built doggie shower (warm water of course) c/w with ramp up to the table and hair dryer - again all free of charge!
The owners and staff work incredibly hard to make you feel welcome, to keep the site immaculate and always had time to ask how your day was! Just brilliant.
Other half never gets over-excited about campsites (unlike me!) but he is still raving about Ross Park and cannot wait to go back. Hope we can get a pitch when we want one again - will make sure we book well in advance.
Probably one of the best, if not the best, campsites we have ever had the pleasure to stay on. Thank you to all the great staff!

We used this site for 4 nights which was of a very high standard, this being our first visit to this site but will return again for sure.
The site is very well situated for visits to Torquay, dawlish, brixham, Dartmouth and much more, the owners and staff were very friendly and helpful, the showers were kept very clean at all times with plenty of hot water at all times, the grounds were always perfect.
We were unfortunate not to use the bar/restaurant as they were closed Monday to Thursday as we were in the low season but would think the service would be like all the other facilities being very good.

Our first visit to Devon with a caravan and our first trip in our new caravan (collected only the day before). We booked in for three nights before moving on to Woodlands Grove for seven nights. We wish we had booked three nights at Woodlands and a week at Ross Park!
After a three and a half hour drive, we were greeted by the owners. They quickly had our caravan unhitched and towed it to our pitch for us, the first time we’ve experienced service like this and a lovely touch after a long drive.
The staff at Ross Park were excellent; attentive, friendly and helpful. The owners in particular work like troopers, helping people arrive/depart in the morning, tending to the grounds/park in the afternoon and pulling pints in the bar in the evening.
The shower and toilet facilities were first class and spotlessly clean. No silly push button showers that you have to push every 20 seconds, proper on/off and temperature controls. They even have a shower for canine campers (complete with hair dryer!) which would frankly put many of the human showers in other campsites we’ve stayed at to shame.
For entertainment there is a games room with a pool table (only 50p a play) and some video game machines. There is also a snooker table in a separate room but we didn’t use this. There is a skittle alley and table tennis next to the games room (free!). There is also a large well kept play area at the far end of the park.
The Park has WIFI free for all guests, no silly logon passwords etc, just turn on your WIFI and off you go. Many other sites could learn from this.
Dogs are very well catered for at Ross Park, there is a huge dog walking area. There are poop scoop bag dispensers with free bags dotted all around the park, so there is no excuse for not cleaning up after your four legged friend. As mentioned earlier there is also an excellent dog shower should your pooch become mucky during their stay. Whilst you can’t take dogs into the main bar/restaurant (fare enough) there is a large “Orangery” (giant greenhouse, complete with grapes and other plants growing inside) as an annex to the restaurant. Dogs are welcome in here, so you can have a meal and/or drink in the company of your dog.
We ate in the Orangery one night; the food was delicious and reasonably priced.
The grounds are beautifully kept with lots of hedges and flowers to help screen areas and give privacy.
During our stay there was no undue noise after dark.
We had a fantastic time at Ross Park, the Park is a credit to owners and their staff. Our only regret that was we didn’t book for longer! We’ll certainly be visiting again.
