This is our second visit to this site this year, the site is very nice always clean and tidy, the shop stocks the basics if you run out. Shower block very good, plenty of hot water and always very clean.
The pub/restaurant is very good the staff are great, the food is first glass and at the right price. Plenty of area for the kids to play, very good dog walk. The only down side for me is you have book a slot for going into the pool plus you have it to pay for.
All in all we will return.

We visited the site on a weekend. The site was not full on the Friday however we were still packed in. Non of the toilets flushed on a morning though later on they worked?
On the Sunday morning the chemical disposal became blocked.
The pool area was clean and tidy the use of the pool is extra and slots have to be booked in advance.
The bar food was adequate though the staff were very amiable.

Very good clean site, shower block very good.
Pub & pub food very good indeed.
Small shop is well stocked with food also stocks small parts for caravans.
Plenty of area for the kids to play.
We do not agree with having to book a slot plus pay for using the pool, expensive, also expensive to go golfing.
All in all site worth a visit but we thing it is expensive we stayed 2 nights on hard standing cost £44, a little on the high side.
At top of this cost for pool and golf.

We stayed on this site on the first bank holiday of the month. The site was full but was very relaxed. The pitch we had was ample enough for our caravan and awning.
My partner and daughter were happy to find a bath in the shower blocks, the only snag was that you had to hold the push button in for ages to fill the bath up.
The site was lovely and clean. The children on the site were able to ride around on their bikes and there was a big open space where they could play football.
The pub/restaurant was nice with lovely barstaff. The children were able to play pool and arcade games. The swimming pool hadnt been opened which was a shame as the weather was lovely.
We called into Harrogate and Knaresbrough which are only a few miles down the road.
Overall a lovely place to visit.

Rudding Holiday Park - ‘Centre Parc’ for campers ? Lovely location, ‘heated’ outdoor pool, club house, gated - great if you like holiday parks and designer camping. The management absolutely cram in the campers with multi use of what would otherwise be well spaced pitches. Weekend camping totally over subscribed, leaving toilet & wash up facilities inadequate. Two toilet blocks on site. One located near touring pitch has only two sinks !
Very noisy - despite advertising as ‘family site’ this is a party site. Would advise splashing out on a ‘Super-pitch’ or visiting during the week.
Convenient location for Harrogate, Knaresborough & Wetherby. Too commercial, crowded and noisy - how it has 5* grade is a mystery. If you like crowds and shopping this is for you - otherwise avoid.

Like someone else mentioned, this park was reasonably close (40 mins) for us, so we used it as our first camping trip of the year, just to get back into it.
We had nice weather, which always helps, but I was impressed with the site on the whole; clean shower block is always top of my list.
There was a decent play area, which is so spacious I am sure they could make even more of an effort with it. Well laid out fields and a nice base to explore some nice parts of North Yorkshire - we had a nice drive to Knaresbourgh which is only about 5 miles away at a guess.
Well developed, well established and a nice way to start our camping year.
My only niggle was I must have gone through or ruined a couple of dozen tent pegs; the beautiful grass is only a blanket over some very rocky sub-surface.
Enjoyed.

Just back from yet another fantastic weekend at Rudding Park. Fabulous park suitable for everyone. Even though it is only 40 mins from home we feel like with have had a total rest. Staff are always friendly and professional. Prices reasonable, compared to most other 5 star sites, with such great surroundings. Facilities are exceptionally clean and the showers are hot! large pitches grass and hard standing. Great pub on site selling great food. Swimming pool fab in the sunshine. Golf on site, and driving range, and lovely walks. Bus to Harrogate from park entrance with is useful for Motorhomers. Harrogate is really good for shopping, eating and drinking, lovely holiday feeling,(very cosmopolitan). We will be back, as many times as possible!

A large site that is located a couple of miles south of Harrogate. There is a bus stop just outside the site and the buses run to Leeds and Harrogate. Be warned though - even though Leeds is only about 12 miles away, the bus journey takes a long time as the journey runs through lots of nearby villages etc.
The site itself was very quiet with very few people about. There is minimal noise from the surrounding area, although you can hear a train screeching in the distance every now and again. The site seems rather windy in places too.
We did not use the site facilities - ie washrooms/pot wash etc as we never do. Can't see the point of having a unit with facilities and not using them. That said, had we wanted to use the facilities, we were pitches quite a long way from the block anyway.
Hardstandings had a grass area in front of them - sure this defeats the object? Having to drive over grass to get onto a hardstanding does seem a bit strange.
Reception staff were friendly upon booking in and there are quite a few leaflets/bus times for the local area available.
There was no motorhome service point as far as I could see, but the pitch had a tap and drain, so not really an issue.
We thought the price was a bit high for the low season, but for the convenience of visiting Harrogate, then the site is worthy of a trip.
For our dog, we made use of a fairly large fenced area where the dog could run and so on. Plenty of doggy bins on site too.

The campsite has excellent facilities and very large pitches. However, the campsite has a corporate rather than a family feel. If you prefer a family campsite you may find the site too large and impersonal.
On the plus side there is a pub and shop on site. The pub meal we had was very nice. If it is really hot there is also an outdoor swimming pool !
The facilities are the best of any site I have stayed on, they were clean and very well maintained.

Although not hard core rural camping, this site was a joy to visit. The facilities were very clean and modern (with electrics in the toilet block). The pitch was well spaced out and non intrusive. Also on a bus route to Harrogate Town Centre. We will visit this site again.
