We stayed at Rudding Park, this is an amazing park, in fact we now have taken a seasonal pitch, its home from home, golf, pub on site, golf club, hotel, restaurant, cinema. What else do you want, oh, the staff are really well trained, you will find other parks in the area, but you get what you pay for, five star quality, check out the seasonal pitches!

We recently visited Rudding Park after a three year gap, we had a week there during a long tour of Yorkshire. On arrival the reception staff was actually pleased to greet you. We were amazed at the improvements we discovered since our last trip. The grounds were immaculate, no litter even around the pub following a busy weekend, which used to be an eyesore. All the season pitches were clean and tidy which was a great improvement, previously they looked unkempt. The facility blocks where very clean and heated, massive improvement. The Kitchen Garden is new since our last visit and was a real surprise nice to look around and very helpful/friendly staff (as was any member of staff if you met them on site). We would recommend Rudding Park to anyone visiting the area and we will be returning soon

Weekend family visit. A lovely site, well laid out and lots of space to enjoy, great for walking dogs (our son and partner's greyhounds - they were staying in her grandparents chalet). Toilets were lovely, one is closed for a time in the morning, the other is closed in the afternoon. Miss time it and you have a 5 min walk to the other! Access to the site is well signposted from the A1.
Next time when we visit we will do part of the Harrogate Trail, which runs close by. The site is very close to the Yorkshire show ground.
The plastic, glass and paper recycling is not made obvious, all seems to be general waste.
Good location for the area.

Great site to stay at. Great welcome at reception, taken to pitch by site warden who was very helpful. Toilets and showers clean and warm! Pub on site with good food and on-site outdoor heated pool. Ideal base for exploring Yorkshire Dales and local attractions such as Betty's in Harrogate, Brimham Rocks, Bolton Abbey, Will definitely be using this site again.

I went he with my 2 girlfriends and are children ages from 8 to 14.
On arrival we were checked in very quickly. We were told to wait for the security man who showed us to are pitch. First impressions the park is lovely clean and very child and dog friendly. We only stayed for 2 nights but wished we had come for longer. We didn't see the children they played safety at the park. There is a pub which we didn't get chance to use. There's also a swimming pool but children under 10 need supervising also you do have to pay and you get 90 mins.
The location of campsite is perfect. There is a supermarket about 10 mins away. On site there's a little shop the ladies are lovely. We went to York maize which is a bit far but Brimham Rocks is close and is a really good day out.
The washroom facilities are one of the best we have been to, there's even a bath. There's 2 washing up facilities. There are more than one toilet and washing facilities.
Must stay these security man on site is excellent and is very helpful and funny.
We would definitely be going back.

A very well kept site. Some of the pitches are a bit close together but the toilet/showers are kept spotless.
Very friendly staff, the only criticism I had was the bar food prices are quite steep.
There are plenty of places for the kids to let off steam without them annoying other campers.
I would return.

Just returned from Rudding Park and have to say was very disappointed with this site. On booking was not told that ALL facilities would be closed even the pub closed at five o clock on new years day and does not open again until March. It seems that all they are bothered with are their seasonal people. At the price we paid would certainly not visit again and having spoken to other caravanners I don't think we will be alone.

We have stayed twice in the last 2 months. It is on the expensive side but we think it is well worth the money. The place is very clean and tidy and the staff are friendly and very efficient. The kids love playing out and the site is safe and secure. The facilities are warm and spotless, a credit to the cleaning staff. The only slight criticism is the meal we had in the on site pub. A really bad meal but please don't let this tiny problem put you off.
We will be back next year, probably more than once.

Having stumbled across it quite by accident we were happy to find a lovely tent site at Rudding Holiday Park. After a very warm welcome we were escorted to the tent pitches. A nice even site with not too many stones in the ground and a lovely view over the field towards the golf course. The toilet and shower facilities were kept very clean and it was good to have enough space for your clean clothes and toiletries behind a partition were everything stayed dry rather than the plastic chair contraptions with no protection from the water of other camp grounds we stayed at during our holiday. The only remotely negative thing we can say about our stay is that with the hotel guests and, presumably, the golfers passing through a nearby gate, it was a bit noisy at times. Since this was only in the evening, it really did not matter. Very helpful tips from the reception staff helped us find our way around Yorkshire and Harrogate and so we extended our stay to four nights instead of the one or two we had planned. We would definitely stay there again and can recommend it to fellow campers.

Just spent a great weekend at Rudding Park, came straight home and booked for next weekend! The site is highly maintained and our grass pitch was a good size with plenty of room for the caravan, awning and car without being cramped in. The facilities are clean and well maintained and we enjoyed feeding the ducks at the pond. No problem whatsoever with noise at night and we were in the busiest part of the park. The pub is nice and we enjoyed playing the quiz on Saturday night. There is a dog run that is fenced off on all sides in the middle of the park, no walking miles to find a dog run it right there for you! Close to Knaresborough, Harrogate and York.
