Being to this park a number of times and I love it I just wish I would remember to book for the following year when I'm there as I always forget to book for the august bank holiday, and can never get in Toilets, showers and baths very clean. Adventure play area for the kids that's very big. I love to sit and read (and have a drink) whilst watching the kids play all day. The pool is great when the sun is out - just wish they wouldn't close half way through the day
The bar is great for me as being on my own with the kids it gives me somewhere to go and talk to others (i hate sitting by my tent all day on my own) The shop is well stocked but if you need anything they don't have, a Sainsburys is a 2 mins drive up the road geat if you're there for a few days and need fresh meat for the barby

Stayed at this site for 4 nights for its location to the Great Yorkshire Show. We found that the locality perfect for the showground and getting into Harrogate. We stayed on a super-pitch that gave hard standing, (we found that they were FAR from level!) your own tap and waste with a point for the TV Ariel. In previous reviews it was mentioned that youths hung around the toilet block until after 10pm, AND THEY DID! (WHERE ARE THE PARENTS!??) Lucky for us our pitch was central between 2 toilet blocks so we just went to the other one where the kids didn't go. The water is plentiful and hot. The staff are very helpful and always meet you with a smile. The super-pitch give excellent privicy (hedges on 3 sides,) and you really get a relaxing feeling with the mature trees on the grounds. Nearby the ducks are happy for some bread in the large pond, or small lake depending on your point of view. All in all a very nice site that I can see us going to again before we visit the Yorkie again.

1st time away in our trailer tent, so I was a little dubious to start with. Should not have been. Very well organised site, really nice warden to take us to our pitch. Ensured we were next to relatives who booked a hard standing pitch even though we just went for the grass serviced pitch. Gas bottle connection didn't fit but the shop owner pulled out all the stops and let us borrow a compatible gas bottle for the duration of our stay. Great playground for the kids and proper roads so biking and scooting could be enjoyed. Nice on site pub, just a shame the outdoor pool was not open just yet (31 may-Sept?). Good washing up facilities and clean toilets and showers, plenty of hot water with lots of pressure. All in all a very good site that I will definitely go back to.

July 2005 Very tidy and organised site but somewhat staid atmosphere (lots of caravan regulars with ornaments in the windows etc etc!) felt a bit residential.
Toilets spotless, warm and lots of space but just what you would expect for the price. AND what a price! 20 odd pound for a tent AND you have to pay for the pool AND book a time slot the day before (what if it was siling down?)
Pub characterless and rubbish food, yuk yuk and yuk! Playground OK and near to pub but nothing local to pitches. Kids had to make do with running around and playing on tarmaced road, felt quite restrained.

August 2005 A nice camp site which was enjoyed by the kids and my self and my Wife. The pitches are quite big and there were plenty electric hookups if required. The ground was quite hard and it took a while to get all my pegs of my tent into the ground, it was like there was was a layer of concrete a couple of inches under ground. There are plenty of drinking water points so you did not have to walk far to get water and also elsan disposal points. The park is well looked after , and the shower / toilets were kept clean and were warm in the night. There was eletric points for shaving and there is a bath in the main shower block. The 2 play grounds were enjoyed by the kids as was the outdoor pool which was warm. The deer house pub was good and the food was nice with the most expensive main meal costing £7.95 (rump steak), the only thing not so good was the time that you had to wait for your food which on one night was 1Hr and 20 Mins but to their credit they gave us a full refund, it's best to go 6pm sharp to get the quickest service. They have live entertainment and quiz nights, theme nights a couple of times a week. If you like golf there is a 18 hole golf course and there`s a football pitch and basketball. The shop was well stocked but there is a sainsbury`s supermarket a couple of miles away on the edge of Harrogate. All in all one of the nicest camping sites you can stay at.

June 2005 A very lovely park set in the grounds of a country house spoiled for us by gangs of kids roaming around the park after 11pm when our kids were trying to sleep. A ball hit the side of the caravan several times.
The security there (who drove around a lot) should be able to issue ASBO's to the gangs of kids to get them to go back to their parents or put on some entertainments for them away from the caravan area.
A nice site with very pleasant staff but too many regulars with older children who hung around together in gangs spoiling it for the touring community.

June 2005 This campsite was excellent just got back from spending 3 days there.
Place was immaculate showers hot clean toilets spotless the whole camp site not a bit of litter, the out door pool clean pub on site great a very well planned site.
Credit to all campers there they followed the rules and regs. and kept the place so tidy, 24 hours security and not a bit of noise after 10.30 except us six giggling trying to get to sleep.
Will defo recommend to any campers who have families or couples its £21.00 a night but worth it

June 2005 What a fantastic site. The kids loved the two parks and the swimming pool. We stayed for two nights on standard pitches. Parts of the groung were a little uneven not didnt affect anything. The shop was well stocked and reception very helpful. The toilet facilities were very clean with free showers which were actually quite powerful. We would deffinately visit this site again. The whole atmosphere was relaxing and not regimental

April 2005 Nice site with good clean amenities, set in nice big area so plenty of room to walk the dog, stopped on one of their supersite touring pitches which were well serviced and nicely landscaped, plenty to do nearby with Knaresbrough and Harrogate nearby, would definately return.

March 2005 Stayed 29th March till the 2nd April
Will be happy to visit the site again and again. This is a well thought out site with well layed out pitches with a mix of hard stand and grass. A nice touch was that the hard stand pitches had there own fresh water supply.
The girl on reception was very helpfull as we did arrive just as she was about to close but she stayed to book us in. The better-half had a look around the shop and was happy with what was on offer and the prices.
The shower block is heated, clean and free, there is also a bath.....10/10 The only let down was the washing machine and dryers. There was only one washing machine and out of the two dryers only one worked at the time.
