We visited this site during the first bank holiday weekend in May with 3 other families in tents. What a great site! The kids spent all weekend playing in the river! The facilities are very good and are kept clean and the site owners are very nice and helpful. On the Sunday evening we had the most horrendous thunderstorm and more rain than we've ever seen which turned parts of the site into a huge lake. At fist this seemed like a complete disaster but everybody helped out those who needed it whilst the kids stripped off down to boxer shorts and played in all the water! It was fab and we'll definitely go again.

The actual area in Shropshire was really lovely with many lovely towns to visit e.G. Ludlow,Iron Bridge, Bridgnorth etc and lots of beautiful scenic walking (breathtaking!). The toilet and shower blocks were always clean with plenty of hot water and the 20p charge for the showers didn't bother us at all as this tended to mean people had short showers which meant there were always showers free (unlike sites we'd been to before where you have to queue for ages whilst people stand in them for ages). The pub at the entrance(the Inn On The Green) was lovely with friendly staff and good food, also just a short walk up the hill brings you to the equally lovely Crown with fantastic homemade food(yum!) Unfortunately the weather was against us doing much cooking ourselves so we frequented these for meals on several nights.
The place would have been lovely if it wasn't for two things.Firstly, as the weather was incredibly temperamental during our 10 night stay the ground soon became waterlogged and with inadequate drainage the site soon became incredibly muddy and smelly. Secondly,as this was every bodies holidays you would think the lady in charge would be a little bit more tolerant of the campers and caravanners who have paid her their hard earned money to camp here.

The Green is a very friendly and relaxing site.It is also very clean and well kept, the facilities are very good and on site shop is well stocked. The owners and staff were extremely helpful when my clutch went on my mondeo, they went beyond the call of duty to get us on our way again. We shall return soon.We enjoyed our stay and would recommend you visit if you want a warm welcome and relaxing holiday go to the Green.

Stumbled across this site after getting lost, destination was North Wales but due to various factors time was pressing on and we were running late for the Campsite in N.Wales so wouldn't have made it.
For this reason we were only there for one night.
The Green Caravan Park appeared clean and inviting, as were the staff at reception who seemed happy to help us and provide us with a pitch for the night. The pitch was very cheap at £10 per night (including 2 people) and an extra £2.50 for each additional person.
The toilets, sinks and washing facilities were clean if a little dated but everything worked well and the water was hot for showering. Plenty of recycling facilities and a small shop on site for essential supplies.
Since we only stayed one night, I can't comment on the site's suitability for longer stays but can recommend it as a place to stay for a night or two, perhaps if walking or with bikes (due to the type of surroundings) or just passing through as an overnight stop in a longer journey/tour.

We've recently returned from a 2 week stay at the site. It is without doubt one of the best sites we have stayed at.
The toilet and washing facilities are well equipped and kept spotlessly clean. There are several areas on the site depending on your requirements, (hook-up area for caravan or tents, adult only area, a sheltered dingle for small groups, large area for groups or rallies and a small play area for the children.
The small shop is well stocked with a few essentials and has plenty of info about the local area. At the entrance to the site is an excellent pub 'The Inn on the Green' serving a good variety of local brews and some of the best steaks we have tasted (10% discount if you're staying at the site). There is also a small village post office and shop within 100yds of the site selling papers, beer, wines and groceries.
If you're into walking, the site sits between the Stiperstones and the Long Mynd (2 areas of outstanding natural beauty) both offer a variety of waymarked walks for all ages and abilities and the views are breath-taking.
Karen and her team make you feel very welcome and are always at hand to help. We will definitely be going back at every opportunity.

Have just returned from this site. I have been camping for years and this is one of the nicest. The river which runs along side makes it such a relaxing place. The toilets were always clean and the kids had a fantastic site. We were with three other families and we have all agreed to return before the summer is out.

Our first ever camping trip and I must say I was impressed. It's a lovely peaceful site, well it was until a large family unit camped right next to ours even though the field was pretty much empty!
Good clean facilities and as previously said plenty of re-cycling bins for cans, bottles, paper, etc. There's a small play area for kiddies and a shallow river for them to play in too. There's even a couple of friendly goats to feed!
Large field and plateau for non-electrics, with no marked out pitches and easily accommodated our 24 foot tent, although not sure how big the pitches are for EHU.
Small shop on site selling basics, a little more expensive than your local shop but still not extortionate. Post office nearby and a couple of pubs within walking distance serving hot food.
Overall, great for a weekend, but not much longer than that due to being in the middle of no-where really. Clean and friendly site will be returning soon.

Fantastic!
We stayed here at the weekend, me + OH and our tent. What can I say but just the most relaxing place ever. Pitched our Hartford XL in the most perfect spot, enjoyed the sunshine and just chilled out for the weekend.
The facilities were excellent and showers & toilets immaculate. Well done Green Caravan Park, well worth a tenner a night and weather permitting we'll back next weekend too.
Thanks to the owners for a great relaxing weekend.

A good clean and tidy site and Quiet in spite of the Paragliding Championship taking place, infact it was fun to see them flying over head. The 2 pubs nearby were very good with The Green at the enterance to the site being very friendly and with good food. We were a family group of 5 adults with 3 tents and had plenty of space. We will be back.

I have just returned from 2 weeks on this site and had a very enjoyable time, the site was very good and well maintained. The facilities were always clean and there was plenty of hot water even if the showers did cost 20p but I found this gave plenty of time for a shower. The pub at the entrance to the site is very good and the food was excellent. All of the staff were very friendly and welcoming and managed to conspire with my parents on a surprise birthday dinner for me. All in all I can't wait to go back again, even if we did loose a tent in the gale force winds last weekend.
